  I’ve been using Phelps for 5 years and they just SCREWED ME, THEY WILL SCREW YOU TOO! I bought a new pressure system LESS THAN 2 years ago!!!!!! The bladder started leaking and now I HAVE TO PAY A PRORATED COST OF $350 FOR THEM TO REPLACE IT! So after less than two years I have to pay them more than 25% of the original cost. They are making 25% on me for my product that has a lifespan of 10 to 15 years!!! I’ve used Phelps for tens of thousands of dollars of work. I’m never using them again! They scammed me and when I addressed it with them they hung up on me saying I had no reason to be pissed off. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Don’t use them, they will seriously screw you over and hang up on you if you don’t like it, they say, “so go somewhere else where you’d have to replace it at full cost if you don’t like it”, which is what they said and hung up on me. IM SEEING REVIEWS THAT IM NOT THE ONLY ONE THEY HAVE DONE THIS TO. They did it to someone else 5/21/23, same situation, screwing them just like me! Thank you to the other reviewer for helping me use someone else, I will NEVER use Phelps again and will scream it from the rooftops around my community not to use them anymore.

  As we discussed on the phone (as you were cussing me out), there is a 1 full year warranty with the manufacturer and a 7 year pro rated warranty on that tank.  That tank was 2 years old.  A new tank is $1365 installed for that size.  The cost to replace under the pro rated warranty is $350.  All of this information was given to you when we installed the tank as well as when we spoke yesterday.  We carry over all of our manufacturers warranties to the customer.  This was beyond the one full year warranty.  You were hung up on after asking 3 times for you to stop screaming and cussing and I had explained that I would need to hang up if you continued to speak that way.  We never told you to go somewhere else.  You said that you would go somewhere else.  I'm sorry that you feel this way.

  This is the **** review that I have also posted. I am posting here as well, as they treated me in a wholly unethical manner.
  About 3 years ago, Phelps installed a new well pump. The pump recently failed again. I called their office, and asked about their warranty. I was told that they provide a 1 year replacement, 2 yr limited warranty. Problem is that the pumps are warrantied from the manufacturer and can be replaced at the local reps warehouse, for FREE. Essentially they were preying on the fact that I was without water, and desperate to have the work completed, so I would just have to take their word that there was no warranty of any significance. Phelps was going to have me pay the $1700 to have a new pump installed, so that they could take the manufacturer warrantied pump back to the warehouse and get the pump replaced for free, essentially bleeding their customer for $1000 for a new pump and $1000 for a free pump for themselves.
  This attitude is unacceptable.
  Fortunately I was better informed, I had another company perform the pump install, whom honored the pump warranty even though they did not install that pump, to have it replaced at the warehouse at a later point. The new company will have my business forever and I will tell every person that I run into to stay far away from Phelps.

  Our supplier provides a 2 year limited warranty and a 1 year full warranty, as explained on the phone.  We do not get anything back after the 2 years.  We were not trying to take advantage of any situation but were being honest about it.  We would have nothing to gain if you had another company doing the work anyway.  We are an honest, family owned and operated company that takes great pride in our reputation that has been formed from word of mouth only.  We never try to rip any customer off.  I am sorry if you were misinformed about the warranty that we are offered, but we were being honest with what we had told you.
