      Hi there, Thanks so much for sending this in. Universal Envoy d/b/a Universal Collection Services is no longer in business as of January 1, 2024. Notifications and deletion requests have gone out for ALL accounts to Experian and ********** on December 31, 2023 and confirmation of that was received by me personally by both credit reporting agencies in January.  So you should NOT be seeing anything from us on your credit report. If you are still seeing something on your credit report, contact the credit reporting agencies at once and reference this because the error would be on their end.       Universal Envoy Corporation reported a debt on my credit report that is fraudulent. They reported that I owe $595 to ***** ******* ******** They claim the case was opened March 29, 2019. It did not appear on my credit report till the year 2023. I contacted ***** ******* to settle the debt and was informed by the hospital that I have no such debt with them and that they have never reported to any credit bureau or collection agency regarding any debt owed by me. I want this removed from my credit report. I have disputed this claim with the credit bureau without success

      My name is Athena, I am the owner of Universal Envoy. I want to first thank you for taking the time to use the BBB's platform. Provided below is a summary of your account and what I've uncovered after researching this.

      First - this was NOT reported initially in 2023 as you stated in your complaint. We reported this to the credit reporting agencies on 5/31/2019. If you are just now seeing this, that is a question to pose to a representative at ******** and ********** because that is not accurate to our reports and what I've done with this account.

      Secondly - We received your dispute on 3/12/2023 where you entered the following information: "Not mine." We did appropriate research as we do with every dispute and were able to verify that you were in fact the guarantor for this visit. The patient was a minor for the 2019 date of service. All of the information provided during the visit matched what was sent to us. As such, we responded to the dispute on 3/6/2023. This visit was to ****** ****** ******l NOT ***** ******* ******** AND the bill was for the ER physician bill so it would have come from ***** ******* ********* ******* ******** who handled the ER physician billing for that date of service. So it makes sense that if you called ***** ******* ********, they said they don't have anything. This, however, does not make this bill fraudulent. 

      Thirdly - we have not received a single correspondence from you. Our phone calls when we first got the account have gone unanswered and unreturned. We have no received a call from you as well since your dispute March of 2023. While we encourage anyone to use the BBB's platform, we would have been able to help you all this information on this account had you called and spoken to us directly.

      Original transaction date was in January, 2017. A charge off from this company occurred on my credit report last month the charged off account was closed by ***** Insurance in 2018. I feel that this is a 3rd party collection debt and it is illegal for a 3rd party collection agency to file a claim on your credit report. ***** Insurance contacted the collection office and the collection was to be removed from my credit report. As of today the amount and account is still on my credit report. I cannot get anyone to answer the telephones in the office and no one will call me back. I will file a claim with the Attorney General's office for this dispute to be removed. This company is not legitimate and is trying to ruin individuals credit with false claims.       My name is Athena and I am in receipt of your voicemails this morning. As it is 9:10a and the start of our day, I haven't had an opportunity to call you back just yet so I'm responding to this first. After looking into your account, I find it necessary to state here and in our inevitable response to the AGO that you have misrepresented the situation quite gravely in this complaint. 

      First, you indeed left us three (3) voicemails but they were all from yesterday and within a 4 hour window. The first was left at 2:57pm, the second was 7:06pm, and the third at 7:31pm. Our outgoing voicemail states that we will return any voicemails within 2-3 business days. Not only have you not given us that time to get back to you but your second and third voicemails were left after business hours. This is the only time we have received any voicemails from you. If you have left others and have not received a call back from us, then the voicemail itself was indecipherable (i.e. if the service was bad or it was glitchy). Otherwise you would have gotten a call from us. After doing a search of our calls in the last 30 days, I see no other attempt at contacted us outside of yesterday. So, to state that you couldn't get ahold of us is a gross misrepresentation.
      Secondly, we spoke to ***** on March 21, 2023 at around noon. The representative gave us the check information to which we replied that we will send the deletion request at the end of the month and that it will take between 30-60 days for the deletion to reflect on the credit report as we have no control over that timeframe. Our deletion request went out on March 31, 2023 when I did our monthly reporting. Today is May 11 and still within the 30-60 day window we mentioned. If the representative did not convey that message to you, that is not something we can control. Additionally a Deletion Letter was generated, signed, and mailed to your home address as is customary when deletions are done. We cannot control mail either much to our dismay but we are happy to give you another copy of it if you require it. 
      I take these complaints seriously because we are an ethics-drive company. We've worked with the Attorney General's Office before and, in fact, have been told by them that we are helpful, informative, and detailed. We take pride in that and in the way we run our business. Just because there are bad apples of collection agencies out there, doesn't mean we are. We help people and while we wish we could expedite the deletion for you, we cannot and we clearly stated that. In the future, I only recommend that you give businesses a fair opportunity to respond before you take steps against their reputation. We support the BBB's platform and we also support any consumer's right to communicate any concerns to the Attorney General's Office, but we also support a fair representation of events and a fair opportunity of communication, neither of which were given to us.
      Once we receive communication from the AGO, we will respond according. If you have questions about your report, please contact the credit reporting agencies as it is up to them to remove it at the pace you seem to want. We are happy to confirm the status and details of the account to them should they need to contact them.

      I have a collections filed on my credit report but have never been contacted by the agency. I have not been called or sent any correspondence and was only aware by whats reflected on my credit report. I have been calling for over a month and leaving a voicemail and no one ever answers, or returns the phone call. When I call, it goes straight to voicemail and there is no way for me to get this resolved. I would like to get this resolved, but due to their negligence and non-existent communication, it is impossible.

      Good afternoon, my name is Athena, the owner of Universal Envoy. I'm a little unclear as to why this complaint was lodged on the same day that our office has spoken to the consumer. We spoke (you and I) and we had confirmed that one of the address's on file was correct (the address in MD) and the other address on file (FL) was the parent's address. Both addresses were used to sent statements as they were both listed as addresses for the consumer and none returned back as a bad address, as what typically happens.

      I explained to Ms ******** during the phone call that we did not receive any voicemail from her and that we return all voicemails between 2-3 business days. I also explained that the only reason we wouldn't have returned a call is if the voicemail itself was unclear to identify the caller's name or phone number which does happen. 

      During the phone call on 3/10, Ms ******** expressed interest in paying when we said that we are able to delete this once paid, and she said she will need to call us back when she gets her wallet. We did not receive a call back and instead received this complaint. We are happy to help in any way we can and that was explained to Ms. ******** - we're not the kind of company that doesn't care. But I'm honestly surprised that we received this complain considering how the phone call on 3/10 went. Everything was explained and seemed to be understood and we had no reason to not believe Ms. ******** when she said she was going to call back to pay.

      While I understand the frustration with dealing with collections, we are a company that is compassion-driven with all consumers and we have offered multiple ways that you can communicate to us about your debt. We have expressed total willingness to get you the exact information you want, so I'm a little unclear as to the reason for the rejection. You said in your previous message that you sent a request for information. We did not receive that or any correspondence from you - written or through phone. So, would you be willing to send the same request so that we can fulfill it? Alternatively, you can contact the original creditor at 1-888*********. It is not ***** ******* ********. It is ***** ******* ********* ******* ********, they handle the physician billing for ****** ****** ********* **. There is a certain protocol to follow especially if you are saying you weren't at ****** ******. That process will either lead to clarification of the debt or if it wasn't you, we will be able to get the documentation needed to delete it.       I had checked my credit report saying "UNIVERSAL ENVOY CORPORATION has flagged your account as Collections on May 26 2021 for the amount for the collections is $655. Every time I call, it goes straight to voice mail about busy operators and to leave a message. I have left a message and need to get this taken care of ASAP and demand I get in contact to speak to someone regarding this. It is ridiculous how inept people are allowed to run any business.

      Hey there! I spoke to Mr. **** yesterday and we are in the process of looking into this claim. It looks like this bill may have slipped through the cracks but I told him it's best we get as much information as possible to know for a fact that we are all on the same page. The conversation is good and at the end he did mention that he filed with the BBB before calling. I told him it's his right to do that and that I will respond stating that we are in the process of resolving this.

      On January 22, 2023, I received a notification saying "UNIVERSAL COLLCTION SV has flagged your account as Collections on Dec 31, 2022." the amount for the collections is $340

      It has been at least a month since my account was flagged as Collections and I have not been contacted by the debt collection agency at all. (no letters - I can verify with my USPS account, no phone calls, no emails).

      I called the phone number for a company with the same address listed on the notice. Both times when I called (Friday Jan 27th at 12:51 pm EST and today, Thursday February 2nd at 11:29am EST) the call went straight to a voicemail saying due to the volume of calls to leave a message and that they would get back to me within 24 business hours.

      I did not receive a call back or voicemail from this company within the 24 business hours noted on the message after the first call and due to the inability to staff enough people to answer their phones or call me back in a timely manner I am submitting this complaint.

      I am requesting a person from this collection company call me back and provide me with information regarding this alleged overdue bill for $340 in a TIMELY manner so that if this is an incorrect flagging of collections it can be rectified ASAP.

      This is Athena, president of Universal Envoy. While I'm not sure when this particular complaint was submitted, Ms. ***** and I have spoken on February 2nd via phone and also via email. We discussed the nature of the account and I assured her that once we resolve it (whether we see if insurance can cover or if she will need to pay) it will be removed from the credit report. I completely understand that that is the most important thing and I recommended that I reach out to the original creditor to see what we can do. She was understanding and the conversation was pleasant. I've attached the email I've confirmed my outreach to the original creditor to get up-to-date notes on the account before proceeding. Ms. ***** confirmed the receipt of the email. 

      We are in the process of resolving the bill and I really appreciate that she reached out to us. it makes this whole process a lot easier. Thank you, Ms. Roddy!

      My mailbox had been ransacked while I am being out of town last few months. Then I noticed that some of my mail were not coming to my address anymore. I filed a complaint with the Post Master to curb my mail from being sent to all of these fraudulent addresses. I also learned from my credit report that I had been a part of the breach and multiple inquiries were coming from other states and accounts were being opened in variations of my name. That sounds frustrating and I hope that the post office has helped in some way, however, I'm afraid that doesn't have anything to do with this account. This account is older so if you've been having any recent mail trouble, that wouldn't have affected this claim. Additionally, I've also checked our records and it doesn't look like you've called our office before filing this complaint which is something that typically would happen if consumers have any questions or concerns. It gives us all an opportunity to communicate and figure this out. If you feel like there's an issue or anything you want to discuss, we are available to look into that. We certainly don't want to collect on anything that's not yours but unfortunately, filing a complaint wouldn't be the way to have us look into that.
