    Annual mammogram was on December 19th, 2022, was covered under my insurance plan but Washington Radiology never billed my insurance, now they are billing me for the total cost. this was a covered benefit to be paid by insurance at 100%. I contacted Washington Radiology on 7/17/2024 about the bill, I was told this was in error and disregard. Given the time to send bill I would not be responsible. However, I got another bill 8/30/2024 again this is not resolved. I do not want this to be submitted to collections an affect my record.

    I was able to speak with ************************* who was carrier at the time, 9/3 and spoke with ******** *.  Washington Radiology received the payment for the contracted rate of $219.17 on January 10, 2023. The bill that I keep getting is for the full amount of service.  12/19/2022 code ***** $487.00 code ************= $713.00.  Harvard Pilgrim has tried to contact Washington Radiology without response.  They are trying to work through United Healthcare who was paid the claim.   

    I spoke with Washington Radiology after learning that they had been paid, and was told by ******* that she did not see payment, didn't see a reason for denial and my account still shows owing the $713.00

    After reviewing the account, we found there were eligibility issues for the date of service that led to patient being billed.  This has since been resolved and the account is now at a $0 balance.

    I am rejecting this response because: the response is a lie.  There were no eligibility issues!  Washington Radiology was paid the full contracted rate from medical insurance firm.  They are now 2 years later billing patients and double dipping for additional fees outside the contracted rate.  They put a note on my account that they couldn't get insurance to pay so they had to adjust the balance which is incorrect and stays that way as a patient on my account.  I am requesting a corrected statement as it actually happened- payment paid per contracted rate on 1/10/2023 and balance was adjusted accordingly.

    Please see the attached documents that show payment from insurance and the bill that Washington Radiology is billing me for the full amount of services.
