On May 5, I went to Moon's Auto Center and worked with *** to get two parts installed on my car to fix the leaking in my engine. He told me that it would cost $726 since I bought my own parts. Later that day he called to inform me that the part didn't work and claimed that my car needed a new starter, so I approved him to install it. On May 8, I went to check on my car only to find out that the starter wasn't the issue and my car still wouldn't start. I asked *** what the problem was with my car and he couldn't tell me but when I brought my brother & mother inside he explained in great detail. He never spoke about what he could do to solve the problem. When he gave me the receipt of $1401 I discovered that he hadn't ran a diagnostic on my car before claiming that the starter was the issue. So I told him to stop working on my car since it was clear he didn't know or care about what was wrong with my car. I couldn't pay the fee he added for my starter and suggested a payment plan since I could pay the $726 that day but *** refused. He then called me a week later asking if I could pay and I told him I could only pay the $726 which is what we previously discussed and he still refused. On May 25 I called to speak with the owner and he was very rude, he wouldn't tell me his name and refused to listen to the problem I was having with his mechanic. He just insisted that I talk to *** even after I explained *** wasn't willing to work with me and claimed that there was nothing he could do to help resolve the issue even though he was the owner of the shop. So I am still left with no assistance from the shop and no car because they didn't try to fix the problem with my car to begin with or with my experience as a customer at their business. I would like to pay for the installment of the parts that I brought instead of paying for something that didn't fix my car. Ill pay the original price, no storage fees, and have my vehicle towed to my residence immediately after payment.

First of all, customer called out shop on 5/4/2023 for estimated labor prices on valve cover gaskets & fuel injectors since she already has the parts.

I told her total labor price $726 ($462 valve cover gasket / $264 fuel injectors)

She towed the vehicle next day and just asked us to do those work plus the synthetic oil change, and we did exactly what she asked us to do. (she said she already had dealer diagnose the vehicle and those are the things needed to get the vehicle to be running again)

Then I noticed the vehicle starter won't turn over the engine , turned the engine by hand and is not locked up, checked the system and found out the starter is dead, so I told her that starter is bad, gave her the NEW total price along with the other repairs she asked for, she told us ok to go forward with the work.

Now the engine turning over with new starter but vehicle still wouldn't start.

I explained to customer vehicle still won't start even with engine is turning over now with new starter, so there are another problem. I told her we will try to see why its not starting but were not able to find out exactly why.

Later she said she just wants to take the vehicle back to the dealer to get an another diagnose and I said ok, that's perfectly fine.

She stopped by like a day later trying to pick the vehicle up but she was not prepared to pay the total and asking why she has to pay.  I told her "whatever the work you requested has been done, that's why"

She has to submit the complaints to the dealer who originally diagnosed her vehicle, not here.

I am attaching the repair order invoice for your interest.

Moons has had my truck since November 2022. stating it needs an engine. i paid the deposit required to start work. now its January 11 2023. i was called to pick up my vehicle to find that there were many questions to be asked. *** the manager felt as everything asked was funny and a joke. The mechanic who worked on my vehicle had n o real knowledge. i asked if the engine had all the new parts i purchased on the old one. he stated he only changed the Head and repaired the dip stick. I went to speak to *** stating my concerns to hear the block was changed and my old head was used. I then asked the mechanic did the head go to the machine shop. he replied "NO" this means my engine was not replaced for the price and agreement made. *** informed me that if i cant trust speak to Moon. I requested all documentation and parts he told me that there is none because **** picked the engine up himself and my old engine part was removed because the county complaints. This is a dishonest business and unprofessional. how can i trust when there was no communication throughout the process other than me or my husband calling for updates to receive none! by this time they where giving me the run arounds that my truck was at another shop for service. now they have the truck in the bay trying to fix what i took it there for. Right now! There was no engine replaced. they tried to rig it as i wouldn't know the difference. what a shame. i feel cheated, scammed and frauded by Moons with no satisfaction or resolution. Things that was asked to do was not done. the mechanic was clueless and the manager *** tried to cover up.
