    On June 12 2025 as I was out walking the trash guy was riding in the trash truck and asked me how much are you paying for your trash service, and he then said if I can get you a cheaper price of $30 monthly and if you don't like the service you can cancel at anytime, so on 6/16 I called and spoke with ****** who told me the prices and made a payment of $81 (2 months payment of $25 and $25 for the can) they delivered the trash can on 6/17 and trash service started 6/26 then on 6/30 I received and email stating the payment is due on the 1st of the month, so I called ****** that day and expressed to her that I would like to cancel the service effective immediately and I would like my money back, I will pay for the trash can $25 and please pick up the can, ****** wasn't very receptive of this news and more or less gave me the run-around stating "I have to give the message to the owner and he will get back with you", so on 7/2 after not hearing a word I called ****** back and still got the run-around saying I had to keep the service until August, around 3pm a lady (?owner) called and asked me about what could she do to not lose my business I explained everything to her and told her the customer service was awful and I was told by the truck driver that if I wasn't satisfied I can cancel anytime, the lady (owner?) told me "I wish he didn't tell you that but you have to give a 30 day notice, but the service is going bad already and I canceled service that I had been with for over 2 years to work with these folks and the service isn't up to par especially since I got a notice about making payment on the 1st and I have paid ahead for 2 months

    We appreciate the opportunity to respond to the complaint filed by *************************** reviewing the matter, I reached out to Ms. ***** directly. During our conversation, I acknowledged that communication on our end was not handled properly. I sincerely apologized for the confusion and took full responsibility for the oversight.
    To resolve the matter, I refunded Ms. ***** the full amount she paid ($81.00). She confirmed that she was satisfied with this outcome.
    As the owner of U.S. Refuse, I am committed to making sure this does not happen again. I have already begun working with my team to improve how we communicate with new customers moving forward.
    We appreciate Ms. ***** bringing this to our attention and consider this matter resolved.
