      This company towed my vehicle and when I went to retrieve my vehicle today, there was a sign stating that they were closed for good and the business is shutdown and locked up. They have not been responding to calls or answering phone calls for over a week. However, my vehicle and other vehicle owners have vehicles in their possession that have been towed and are unable to get in contact with anyone from the company to retrieve their vehicle.

      Please be advised that I represent Greenwood Towing and Driveaway Service, Inc. ("Greenwood Towing") in the above reference matter. I spoke with Mr. ******** concerning this matter on May 16, 2024 and met with him in person on May 17, 2024 at which time he redeemed his vehicle from Greenwood Towing and paid a reduced towing and storage fee. A copy of Mr. ********'s signed Release Agreement is attached. I redacted the personal identifying information pertaining to him. I received a follow up email from Mr. ******** on June 5, 2024 indicating that this matter is concluded. 
      Based on the confidential nature of the Release Agreement, I request that the Release Agreement not be posted on the BBB website.

      This tow company has been harassing me since Ive moved into this apartment complex. I can say that 2 times it was my fault because I forgot to display my handicap placard, but the 3rd time it fell and if you look in my car you can literally see it on the side of my chair and this time its literally sitting on my gear. These people are trifling. They see my car with the handicap placard every single day since I have moved here and they lurk around my apartment until the day that it has fell or they cant see it hanging to tow my car. This is harassment. They need to be looked into due to all of the nasty and unfair reviews they already have. I am at the point where Im going to file a law suit because of they simple fact that they know I own a handicap placard but they sit around and wait for me to simply make a mistake. They are awful people!

      This is where my placard was placed when I received my car. I spoke to the manager ***** *****, he refused to give me copys of the pictures the tow driver took and he was VERY rude! He brought up my past tows and told me I should have learned my ****** by now he doesnt care and he wont help me. He was very insensitive and rude.

      It is unfortunate that your Jeep Cherokee was impounded.  The vehicle was impounded for failure to display a handicap permit while parked in a handicap space.  This is the fourth time that your vehicle has been impounded for parking in a handicap space without a handicap permit.  Maryland Law states that if you want to park in a handicap space you must have handicap license plates or a handicap placard displayed.  It is the responsibility of the driver of the vehicle to make sure that these rules are adhered to when parking in a handicap space.

      My fence was broken on Wednesday, 03/06/24, at approximately 10 p.m., when my 2020 **** Edge Vin# A24004 (last 6) was repossessed. The car was on the gated property, parked on my parking pad. The fence was actually laying on the ground when I arrived back home. Thankfully we were able to reattach it temporarily, but it will surely have to be replaced. I'm asking for compensation for the damage that has been done. Enclosed are images showing the damage that occurred.

      Your vehicle was impounded for failure to clearly display a handicap permit while parked in a handicap parking space.  It is the responsibility of the driver to make sure the handicap permit is displayed properly.  It is not the responsibility of the driver to have to find the permit.  This is the fourth time your vehicle was impounded for a handicap violation.  Please see pictures of your vehicle parked in a handicap space without clearly displaying a handicap permit.

      On Jan. 14, 2004, my car was towed by Greenwood Towing located in 1370 W. North Avenue. They claimed my hang tag was not displayed. I told them the hang tag was hanging from the mirror but they said it was not. When I got my car I looked inside and the hang tag has fallen on the floor. I took a picture, went back in to tell the person at the desk and she said it is not their job to look inside the vehicle for the tag. She told me in the future to tape it to the dashboard. Despite this she refused to refund my money. I believe I should receive a refund of my $280. because had they looked in the car they would have seen the tag on the floor.

      It is unfortunate that your vehicle was impounded.  The 1999 Ford Ranger was impounded for Permit not Displayed.  There was no permit displayed on the rear-view mirror or on the dashboard that we could see through the front windshield.  It is the responsibility of the driver of the vehicle to make sure that the permit is displayed when the vehicle is parked on the property.  Please see the pictures showing that there was no permit displayed.  For this reason, a refund will not be issued.

      My friend's car was towed unlawfully from the ******* ****** **** Apt. in Baltimore, Maryland *****, even though the parking pass was visible and the car was parked in the correct location. In addition, the receipt indicates it was removed for one reason, but when the car was picked up, we were given a different reason (see attached letter to the company for full details).

      I have all my proof attached and am asking for my money back.

      It is unfortunate that your friend's vehicle was impounded. The white 2021 Toyota Corolla w/** tag # ****** was impounded for not displaying a resident permit while being parked in a resident space. The Toyota Corolla was displaying a visitor permit but was not parked in the visitor lot. Please see the attached pictures showing that only a visitor permit was displayed and the picture showing that the Toyota was parked in the resident section of the lot.  The reason for the vehicle being impounded that is listed on the receipt states Permit not Displayed.  This is because where the vehicle was parked it did not have a resident permit.  This was a valid tow; therefore, a refund will not be issued.

      I am rejecting this response
      because of inconsistent responses and deception.


      Greenwood has indicated on their paper work the reason for
      towing was  "permit not displayed", when the permit was clearly
      displayed. Greenwood's employee told us the car was removed because it wasn't
      in the right place. These are both untruths.

      I live here and have had many guests. I know where they should
      park and where they shouldn't.  Again, the security guard provided a sheet
      showing the areas that visitors should park. No one in their right mind would
      ignore this.   I personally made sure the car was in the right
      parking area and had the correct visitor's pass.
      The picture you have attached is a lie.  The picture should have been
      taken BEFORE your truck backed up to the car. 
      YOU MOVED THE CAR, then took the picture, and made sure the resident only parking
      sign was displayed. Do you really believe we would have parked there seeing
      this big sign there. 
      How
      cruel and ruthless this is to target low-income residents' guests and possibly because it had out-of-state
      tags. My friend will probably never come back here.

      I
      will alert my family and friends to take a picture of their cars before leaving
      them in the visitor's parking area going forward. You win this one by providing
      false documentation.

      10/14/2023 around 9pm at night in the pouring rain. My car was being towed, I was approached by Phillip ******** stating that it would 280 to drop my car down but if I 140 in cash he would be do it immediately. I did not have cash on me . He said he only takes cash, no cash app. But moments later the price doubled later he said it would be 300 because he has to give half to his boss . I felt helpless and afraid I would never see my car again so I panicked and he sent himself 300 from my phone using zelle app. I called greenmount towing company twice requesting to speak to a manager to get a copy of the policy because I felt taken advantage of . Gwen answered and had me send a copy of the transaction and when I asked for a copy of policy she said she doesn’t have one but she will let a manager know. I want justice and a refund for this unlawful act . I have no idea how any of this works and when I ask questions I get no answers . So now we are here . I plan on going to the towing company and filing a written complaint as well .
      The whole situation happened so fast and I was unaware of what the process is . I just did what I was told to be true. Now this Phillip ******** has basically scammed me of my money from my account into his . He did not put his full name in the name selection box but his only his initials however his number is in plain site on image attached . Please help me get a peace of mind and a refund for this unlaw act .

      My daughter was driving my car in Baltimore. This company pulled a scam, followed her into a parking lot, and then proceeded to attempt to tow her car. I was on the phone with her and had a recording of them yelling and belittling her, telling her to run and get 280 dollars, or they would take her car. The man was so hateful to her and kept threatening her over and over. I have seen on google that this is a common problem happening to other people in this same parking lot.

      On 3rd September my rental car was towed from *** **** avenue. it was damaged badly by the towing from the side window. I filed the damage report with them. After that I have been calling them every week and they keep saying either their manager is out sick or not available or keep making other excuses. Mostly when I call them they are very unprofessional and rude as well. I would like them to take responsibility to repair the rental car and reach out to me as soon as possible. Thanks

      My car was parked behind ********** **** in a ***** ***** **** space. I am a vendor for ***** ***** **** and had permission from the GM of ***** ***** ****. The lot adjacent belongs to **** *********. It is perpendicular to the Power Plant Lot. I have pictures from the towing company and PPL that show where my car was parked and it clearly displays the number on the space. I called Greenwood and they told me everything around the Metro belongs to **** ********* and only a few spaces by the doors belong to Power Plant which was a big surprise to the property manager and said it was incorrect and any car towed from the numbered spaces behind Power Plant have to be authorized by them or a venue GM which it was not. The tow driver, i was told, is new and they are on commission. I only want the tow money refunded and the $10 for the Uber to the tow yard. Simple ask for a mistake that i have evidence and corroboration from PPL that was made by Greenwood.

      Greenwood Towing held me against my will after I paid the towing fee & was allowed into the lot to retrieve my car. I was not, however, permitted to leave because they had taken my car to a lot to be sold (illegally) & blocked it in behind other vehicles for sale. When I was finally able to get one of their drivers to move the suv in front of my car, he backed the suv into my car & then began screaming & cursing at me when I asked him to stop & told him it wasnt okay. He then decided to tow the suv to the entrance / exit & unhook it so that Id be trapped in the business (though I already paid). At this time, I called 911 & was stuck waiting there in my car until another worker came out & realized Id called, then moved the suv himself. When I told the office manager what happened, shed only scream at & talk over me, not allowing me to get a word in and refusing to answer any questions about filing a damage report. She literally ran inside the building and locked herself away when she found out police were coming.

      It is unfortunate that your vehicle was impounded.  Your vehicle was blocked in by another vehicle that was impounded.  At no time were you held against your will.  Your vehicle was unblocked in a timely manor.  We received no visit from the Baltimore City Police Department.  You were advised in order to fill out a complaint form, you must park your vehicle outside, come back to the dispatch office and then you could fill out your complaint.  We have no complaint from you on file because you never came back to fill one out.
