I stayed at Best Western from 5/28/2022 to 5/30/2022. When I booked via booking.com it said my reservation would be $391.25. Upon checking in on 5/28 I was told by staff to electronically sign for a temporary charge of $150 for incidentals. Next I was told to electronically sign for the balance of the room which was $222.06. I asked the representative Mohamed if the amount was correct because I was quoted differently online. He confirmed the amount was correct. I then asked him what days did they have me booked for to make sure the checkout date wasn't the reason the amount was so low. He confirmed my checkout date was 5/30/2022. I still was not sure why the rate was lower but figured I received a discount because I was staying there for a conference. Upon checking out I asked for a receipt of my initial payment. I was provided a printout and an email receipt. Which again verified I was charged a total of 222.06 for my stay. When I returned home I saw that there were 3 additional charges to my credit card from Best Western in the amounts of $52.87, $169.19 and $169.19. I called Best western the same day 5/30 to get assistance but was told the manager was not in. I called on 5/31 and was told by a manger named Daneesha that the I should have been charged $391.25 and that any other charges would go away eventually. I explained to her that I authorized 2 payments for $222.06 and $150 and any other charges to my card were erroneous and I wanted a reason for them to put the hold on my card for the other amounts and I also informed her those pending charges put my credit card account balance into the negative and this would effect my credit. She offered no explanation for the extra charges so she escalated my call to a manager K ****. He said as well that I should have been charged $391.25 but again he offered no explanation for the additional amounts that were charged. As of 4:48pm 5/31 K **** has not gotten back to me nor have these charges been removed.
