No! Run! I hired them to ad cooling to my existing heating system. I had to shut down their work and file charges against them! They did shoddy work, used illegal materials, and they’d butchered my house! They billed me for a 15 seer system, but installed. 14 seer! They had an improper cage installed into my concrete yard over the cage to prevent theft, but the cage cannot be opened, so the machine can never be serviced or repaired because you can’t open it to allow access to it! They used one license to get the job, then a different license to pull the permits that I’d insisted on having. The permit they showed me turned out to be insufficient, as it didn’t even include the ductwork! They gave me fraudulent insurance information in the beginning, as they needed to have liability insurance to get the job, but when this all fell apart, their insurance company informed me that that Clifton only had workers comp with them! When I finally got their true liability company, they told me that they wouldn’t cover anything! I then had to file a complaint against them too! They’d even put holes in my walls without even discussing it with me! The city inspector came out to see their work and failed it, and I’ve been sitting here all summer with no air because they took over $2,500 out of my budget for a deposit to start the work, and now I don’t have enough left to pay someone else to finish the job. In fact, I haven’t been able to find someone else who will finish the job because no other contractor wants to go behind someone else! I’ve asked them to return the money but they won’t. I’ve filed a complaint with MHIC but there’s no telling how long that will take to resolve, and I’m stuck with no air in the meantime because I’d trusted this company!
