            The transaction to build a covered deck and fence occurred early June of 2020, the amount that was paid for the deck was a little bit over $37K. Filing a complaint with the BBB was absolutely nothing that I wanted to do because I absolutely support small business. The project was delayed originally due to HOA approval and then it was delayed again due to the company having a shortage of construction workers. By the time the project started it was October 11th and it did not get completed until after January. I digressed due to COVID and everyone was running into issues. No one officially came out to complete the inspection of the deck until we called Kyle. Kyle had knee surgery and was expecting his co-worker to have his six's. We reported a plethora of issues, but only a few were fixed. The nail holes are still left uncovered so it looks incomplete, there were cracks that needed filling, now after fixing the ceiling because the lack of workmanship the fan doesn't work etc.

            My fiancé and I reached out to Maryland Decking and met with a Sales Manager by the name of Kyle on Saturday, 23 April. Our experience started out great as we were comparing quotes with several deck builders. Kyle had provided sample pictures prior to meeting him and we met to review details and physical deck samples for a possible project. We had a budget of $40K and was interested in reviewing quotes for deck installation only or deck and sunroom installation. Kyle provided us quotes, but was suppose to contact his manager to see if any possible discounts could potentially apply to the $79K total as we are purchasing a new home. After meeting Kyle and learning of our budget, we never heard from Kyle again even after I followed up via email to ask if Kyle had a moment to speak with his manager. We were very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and customer service. Buyers beware. I have the evidence to back up the comments shared in this review.
