When I originally called to schedule an appointment I asked to be scheduled with the female dentist. The business said they would honor my request but when I showed up for my appointment I was assigned to a male doctor. I had no issue with the male doctor but was unhappy because they did not honor my request or let me know there would be a change. I prefer to be seen by female providers which is why I originally chose the practice since they seem to have a female dentist.

In August 2022 the business contacted me to state they needed to file an insurance claim through my primary health insurance, not my dental insurance. I provided them with the appropriate information; however, never heard back from them until mid Feb 2023 when they sent me a bill stating my account was 90 days overdue. How can my account be 90 days overdue when I was just notified there was an issue with the claim? I find this to be very questionable billing practices.

Patient has made an invalid report, claim was submitted to insurance to be covered and insurance denied coverage for that visit and did not pay. The patient was billed for services rendered.

I am rejecting this response because:

I called my insurance company about this bill in particular and they said the services are covered and the dentist office filed it i correctly.

they Said it was not rejected.

We have not recieved a response from humana on our end, in regards to paying that claim. We have recieved payment from Humana in your past visit on Jan.22,2022 and nothing afterwards. Even after re-submitting, no payment has been made. If you could have the insurance company reach out to let us know how we are incorrectly billing, we will resubmit; for the 6th time, for payment.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I have repeatedly reminded the dentist office they have to file the invoice through my primary health care insurance, blue cross blue shield first.

This dentist office is the one who informed me of this process the first time I saw them last year.

They have all of my insurance information but instead of doing what they did to receive reimbursement last year they are just repeatedly submitting  the claim to Humana not Blue Cross Blue Shield.

    it is very frustrating.

    Sincerely,

    Angela *******
