12/7/2024- I received a notification from Made Me Mine that a friend was attending a craft class, so I should join the class. I purchased a seat for $66.78. I had never heard of the company, and later found out their location had changed, yet ******** hadn't been updated. I visited the store and met the owner, ****** *****. She showed me around and checked to verify I had paid. She assured me she would keep my payment and allow me to book the class at a future date. I've been trying to contact her via email, text, voicemail. She does not reply. I spoke with the current owner, ***** *******, who explained in the following text reply today: Hi *****, Im sorry I was working a kids class when you texted.Unfortunately Im not affiliated with Angies business practices outside of having paid off her debt on the lease and took over the business within this space. She was going to file bankruptcy, I took over the business to keep it as a place for community collaboration and creativity. Im truly sorry for what she did to you, please know you are not the only one and Im doing my best given the situation. I have to ask that you not take your anger out on the Made Me Mine name as Im a new owner and you would only be hurting me and my family for her actions. I suppose I cant stop you from doing what you feel is best but I hope you can look at the situation from my perspective and understand that those actions will cause more harm than good and not to the correct people. I don't want to harm the new owner or her business as she has saved the brand and is doing good things for the community. However, ****** not only refuses to answer, but she has moved on to her latest endeavor. Quote from her ******** account 6/24, "Back to doing what I love to do! Custom farmhouse tables are $150 off all summer long!" Since her husband, ******* ***** is a small business, Plumbing/Bath remodels, I think she knows how to rebrand herself without caring who she cheats.

I received another text from the new owner, *****.  I didn't respond to her, but she is wrong. I am not reporting to you to make me "feel better."  I am old enough to want the younger small business owners to learn from their mistakes and take responsibility. It's not the money. I've been ripped off as most of us have whether phony Chinese mail orders or scam artists. I attached ******* message.

****** ***** is the owner of Made Me Mine, LLC, which is no longer in business. ****** ***** was going to file bankruptcy, though the status of this filing is unknown to me. This complaint is not affiliated with the current business, ************ dba Made Me Mine, the owner (me), or the current operations. The class she paid for is no longer offered at my establishment. I am a new business and owner, however, I kept the Made Me Mine name for business operations to save money on signage and to facilitate the reassignment of the lease. I was unaware of these issues, or I certainly would have considered changing the operations name. I do not have access to payment records, systems, etc. from the prior operator of the space (****** *****) so cannot confirm or deny Ms. ********* claim. I have however taken a significant amount of time making attempts to assist her in her pursuit, reaching out to ****** ***** on her behalf and requesting she make contact. I unfortunately have no control of these outcomes. Furthermore, as was explained to Ms. ******* on multiple occasions I understand her frustrations, but I cannot take ownership of her grievance as a new business owner with no professional affiliation with the individual who she is seeking a refund from. I respectfully request her claim against Made Me Mine be dismissed and that Ms. ******* either contact her bank to request a chargeback and/or pursue her claim against ****** ***** directly in the appropriate court should she see fit.

In other words, the 2 ladies (who worked together before this "change of command") are getting away with stealing from people.

The new owner told me the sad story of ******** and wanted ****** to teach this epoxy class.  I was told the money was on account for any class any time.

I wish them well and know that bad customer service will be park of their legacies.
