I contacted A & A Fence construction back in January to install two self closing gates on my property because we have a swimming pool and my homeowners insurance policy requires it. The Owner, Herb, finally provided a quite on March 7th 2022 for the work which I immediately accepted. Multiple times they told me they were going to show up to do the work and multiple times no showed the job. The owner always had an excuse as to why they didn't show up as discussed and never could give me a time when they would be able to. He gave me a lot of "we will get to it when we get to it" answers. When they finally showed up to install the gates they hung one crooked and it does not self close and barely closes manually which I didn't realize until after my wife paid for the job in full. I have been trying for months to get them to come out to fix this gate and still get excuses as to why they can't come out and am still getting "we will get to it when we get to it" answers. This morning I called the office and the assistant told me that she spoke to Herb and he said they would get it on the schedule but didn't provide a date. I told her that that was not an acceptable response from the owner at which time she hung up on me. I called a few times after that and she sent me to voicemail each time. It is clear to me now that Herb has no intention on finishing this job that he accepted payment for. I have attached the email chain for reference. I would either like to have this job completed or receive a refund so I can hire someone else to finish the job.
