On December 27th I ordered a 2009 ******* accent engine with ***** mileage, they sent me a 2001-2005 engine, i paid ************************************************************************************ another engine, after 10 days they said there is another engine i tried to figure out how many miles on it, a week later they answered and said ******************************************************** the end I asked for my money back, they said that if I want to make a return, then I I have to pay 25% for storage fee and delivery in both directions, I read the rules and I know that if the return occurs through their fault, they are obliged to return to me the entire amount that I paid, please deal with this problem and return my money, I spent a month of my time for nothing and then trying to Steal my money.Business Response

Hi Ms *********, our customer service team and warranty team investigated your order. All our merchandise offered with warranty have their warranty period starting the day you receive the part/merchandise. Had you informed us about your mechanic was moving prior to shipment, we'd have held the order. But since this was conveyed to us only after we processed the order out, we couldn't help in the delay. Now that the merchandise was delivered, the warranty period started. And had you reached out to us within the warranty period for any issues with the part, we would have helped you with a fair resolution. However, since the part is out of warranty, we unfortunately wouldn't be able do anything here. All our terms and conditions and warranty policies are available on our website- *********************************************. We also have the same attached as a part of your purchase invoice. We regret any inconvenience caused. For any further questions and concerns please feel free to email us at ***************************** or call us on *************.Customer Answer

I sent a total of $657 for a used transmission on November the 18th. Order number RTS112225940. They sent me pictures of the transmission to accept prior to shipping. I sent them the *** NUMBER to confirm that their transmission was a match for my car. My mechanic confirmed it was NOT the right transmission. The pictures they sent was a transmission for a dodge ram pick up truck. They insisted it is a match for my car. This is a huge distortion of the truth. I have asked for a full refund. They want to charge me a 25% restocking fee. The transmission was ever shipped therefore there's no restocking fee. Plus they are trying to charge me a fee for canceling the order. This is totally unacceptable. They continued to bully me to accept the transmission swearing it was a perfect match which it clearly is not. They have drugged this around for over a week now and it's still not resolved. This is clearly their mistake and they want to charge me. Totally u unacceptable. I no longer want to *********** with this company. They ate trying to bully me even though it was their mistake. The only thing I will accept is a full refund. Please helpBusiness Response

I ordered transmission you sent it hours away from me and I've been waiting for about a month . Before I go to the courts on Monday to get a notarized letter sent to you I'm taking this first step please send me the transmission the rest of the way because you made a mistake and sent it to the wrong place you sent hour's away from me too I don't have any way to get there and I ordered it and on the order it was to be sent to my address which it's not even close. But I have not received it . If you have to send it by *** on the ground even if it takes another week if you look at the rates they're not that bad. And they even pick it up if that's the problem check it out and send me a transmission or I would like to have my money back please contact me before noon on Monday 11/142022 of this coming week because after that I will have to go to the courthouse and proceed from there with the notarized letter and then I will proceed with other proceedings which I do not want to do. But I will do if I have no other choice since he told me I wasn't going to get my money and he wasn't going to send me my transmission either on the phone. j Send me my transmission or my money one of the two is what i wanted to do . I lost money because I had my car towed to a garage and I had they get it towed home and pay storage if I didn't get it towed . Our of there and I had to get a towed back home and if you don't have plates on the vehicle it ended up costing me $300 so it's cost me quite a bit and I'll take that as my loss but either the transmission or my money thank you .Business Response

Hi *************, 14th of July 2022 was the day when your merchandise was delivered. We validated your order. We agree that we told you that we could take the part back and refund you if returned within 90 days. There were multiple attempts made by our team to reach out to you to recover our merchandise. 14 of October 2022 was the last day to recover the merchandise which was well conveyed to you. am writing to report business ready to start located in ** for trying to change me unfairly for wrong and incomplete services rendered. I bought my 2015 **** Fusion car on date 10/08/20 for an engine change. Under their guidance, I bought an engine online and the business assured me they have done this work before and will duly do the inspection before installation. I was working with mechanic X . Upon picking up the car, in date it was immobile and upon inquiry I found out that the engine was the wrong kind for the car. Because they are experts, the least I expected was for them to inform me that we needed to other the right engine as the one ordered was the wrong one. I am take aback by the fact that they have charged me a labor of $1300 to install the wrong engine, they additionally want to charge me $600 labor to remove the engine and $700 to install the correct one. The car is meant to be back at work and I am afraid that everyday this issue is stalling, I am losing income on my part. I am therefore seeking a resolutionBusiness Response

Hi *****, we apologise for any inconvenience caused to you. None of this is intentional and this is a very unfortunate scenario. We understand the risk of a customer receiving an incorrect part. Which is why, we make sure we send the pictures of the part prior to shipment. Please understand that we've validated the point of sale as well that the order was placed incorrectly and we have given you options of replacement and refund. We don't have any labor warranty and it was your decision to go ahead with an installation although you were aware that this was an incorrect part. We're more than happy to help you with a replacement or a refund. However, charges are applicable as per our warranty policies.Initial Complaint

My stepdaughter, ****************, ordered an engine from this company for her GEO Tracker. When the engine was sent, the shop providing the service installed it, and when running it, found it had a loud knocking sound. Though Ready to Start replaced the engine, they have refused to cover labor. An additional $1600 cost was incurred to remove the defective engine they sent (which was under warranty and presumably tested). Initial conversation has resulted in a refusal of Ready to Go to cover any part of that additional cost, even though they are the sole cause.Business Response

Hi ****, when you purchase a used OEM, you don't get a labor warranty and we as a company don't offer labor warranty. We're liable only to the cost of the part and we feel we have done all that we can to resolve this matter in our best capacity by sending you a replacement that is up to the standards. We have sent you a copy of our warranty policies via email which explains thoroughly what the warranty we offer covers and not. We have processed this replacement at no cost to you and that is the best we can do as a company. We regret any inconvenience caused.Initial Complaint

Purchased a ****** 4.0 engine from this business for **** total. My original sales **** ****** stated that the engine was coming from a repossessed vehicle and only had 69k miles in Georgia. I was very hesitant after reading previous reviews, but ****** assured me that they were a legitimate company.Upon delivery, the crate was broken and the engine was laying on its side. I took it to the mechanic shop to be inspected. Luckily, the engine only had superficial damage from the shipment. My mechanic test the engine, which it appears ok. We observe the *** tag on the engine and check it. The engine came from a wrecked **** ****** 4Runner in **********. The engine had 193k miles on it.I contacted the business customer service to let them know they sent me the wrong engine. The first person tried to tell me that was the engine that I purchased. After I stated that I had all previous sales conversation on text and email, he put me on hold. Another person picked up and told me I had gotten the wrong engine by mistake and they would ship me the correct engine. The next day, I did not receive a call from the business. I called them, which they stated that the original engine with 69k on it had salt damage. They assured me again that they had a replacement. After a week of talking to customer service, there is still no replacement being shipped out. I even offered to keep the engine I received, if they refund me $2000, which they refused. This is fraud and false advertising.Business Response

I do not accept this response. I was contacted by ******** with RTS Auto Parts on 10/12/22. The only reason I was contacted was because I made the complaint with BBB. ******** offered me $1000 to withdraw my complaint. Being that my engine is almost completely installed, I would be out even more money. After seeking legal advice I contacted RTS AUTO PARTS and told them Id settle for $1500. I have yet to get a reply from them. I do not want anything from them but compensation for the fraudulent sale.Business Response

On 7/12/22 I contacted Ready To Start Auto Parts searching for a replacement engine. I was informed they had one in stock with 65k miles for a price of $1650. When I asked how I could confirm the mileage the salesman said he would go out and get the *** number from the car, he assured me all of the parts come from vehicles purchased at auctions and many of the parts were already sold from this specific vehicle. He then provided me with the *** number of the engine I would be purchasing via text and told me I could do a carfax report to confirm. I agreed to purchase the engine at that point because it was the best deal I found on a low mileage engine and I was without a vehicle. I asked if I could get a discount on the shipping if I was to pick it up and he said no free shipping is part of the deal but I could pick it up at their location in Mass. I waited close to 1 month to receive the engine only to find out it shipped from a different company located in *********. When the engine arrived it was seized and would only turn over part way then lock up. The *** number didnt match what I purchased. The report I ran on the original number provided showed a vehicle with 65k miles and the one I received was recorded at 95k miles 7 years prior. I contacted the company at that point requesting a full refund. They requested I send them a video and pictures of the engine along with a detailed service report from a garage before they would consider sending a replacement engine. The point is what they sent me was not what I was told I was purchasing and they were focused on having me prove the engine was defective rather than accepting being caught in the bait and switch scam. I requested they send me the engine with the correct numbers I purchased to make it right or send a carrier to pick the junk engine and refund my money. What I received is most likely a ********* flood car engine. 2 months without my car and out $1650 on a piece of scrap metal and a waste of my timeBusiness Response

Hi *************, we apologise for the bad engine you ended up receiving due to a shipment confusion. We at Ready To Start Auto Parts have our warranty policies in place to help our customers with fair resolutions. When you called us complaining about the engine you received, we acknowledged and did our check asking you for necessary service documents/pictures/videos. And we helped you with a resolution of refund which would be processed once the faulty merchandise was returned back to us. However, you chose not to do so and involved your financial institution by filing a dispute due to which we have no control over the payment to process a refund. Nevertheless, we'd like to offer you a refund, provided you have our merchandise reach back to us. Please reach out to our customer service team on ************* or ***************************** and we'll be happy to help you further.Customer Answer

The engine is defective yes but also not what I authorized Ready to Start to charge my card for. The numbers don't match and in the case of consumer fraud a warranty is irrelevant. I was sold an item that the company could not provide. I found out through a Bumper report he car containing the engine promised was for sale at a car dealer in Washington state. The engine I received came from pick apart yard in Tennessee. After the company received my complaint from the BBB they reached out and offered me $300. I payed $1650 and expect all of it refunded. I do not intend to pay freight charges to return the engine, I expect the company to arrange a freight pick up for the return. My next complaint will be with the ************* attorney generals office
