      I lost my home to a fire and had been living in a camper for over 6 months. I thought this was a good idea BUT... the first month they changed me $444.00!!! The 2nd month $527.00 and I told them to cancel it. I still received bills the following month the bill is now invoice balance $781.47, the Outstanding invoice balance is $966.41!!!!, and this company has told me my bill is now over $1,747.88. This is only for the 2 months I had it. What the heck is the outstanding balance bull??? They won't return my calls. RIP OFF!!!

      Reading some of these reviews I see a similar series of events. To begin, the billing is at the very least confusing. About the start of covid it got worse and far less predictable. At one time I went 6 months without being billed. No end to the finger pointing, it's always the other guy that's responsible. I had no idea what to anticipate for a bill and couldn't budget anything they were so unpredictable. I finally decided to cancel, they promptly acknowledged my request indicating it would take 3 months to rid myself of this abortion. It took 6 months to get out from under their agreement. A perfect testament to the incompetence experienced, buyer beware.

      As you had personally come across throughout 2022, Central Hudson had been experiencing difficulties in producing timely and accurate utility bills for their customers. Since Nexamp relies on Central Hudson to inform our team about the solar energy credits that were applied to your utility bills, we too experienced these troubles. Throughout this difficult period, Nexamp has tried to stay as transparent as possible about how we are working towards a resolution. While we too have been frustrated with the impacts of Central Hudson’s delays and inaccuracies, we understand that it negatively impacted your experience with Nexamp.

      As for your cancelation request, it appears that there was unfortunately an error in processing this as originally intended. We apologize for the inconvenience and can confirm that you were only invoiced for credits that were produced within the 90-day timeline of your cancelation. Your account is officially canceled, and there is no further action needed on your part. We are committed to providing the best service possible for all our customers and sincerely apologize if we didn’t meet your expectations.

      I'm in ******** where utilities are regulated. Nexamp's rates are the same as ComEd's as promised. My bills from ComEd have been $0 this past year. I am satisfied with their service and prices.

      This is basically a scam. When I signed up they represented that I would be guaranteed a 15% decrease in my electric bill. They would miss months of billing then I would have a huge bill. They would give me a song and dance about how National Grid had messed up the billing processes. They also represented they were 'working on' combining the billing with National Grid so the issue would not happen again. I kept getting large credits on National Grid but huge bills from Nexamp. After months and months of dissatisfaction and many calls, what I understand now is the customer is billed not on how much electricity they are using but on how much the solar panels are producing. My electric bill is running well over 100 dollars MORE a month. I can not get out of the contract for another 5 months. The way over estimated how many solar panels I would require, and are sticking me with huge bills. I have reported them to the *** as well. And I will be filing a compliant with the **************************

      Thank you for your feedback about the program. We are sorry to hear about your experience and would like to take a moment to address the concerns that you raised. The design of the program in ************* is that you continue to receive your electricity through National Grid, but your bill to them is reduced by the value of the community solar credits you receive from Nexamp. In return, you receive an invoice from Nexamp for those credits, but always at a discount. In the summer months this means that you would likely receive credits in excess of your usage. In winter months, where solar energy is less, your credits would most likely be less than your monthly usage allowing you to use any previous excess balances. You might have also seen publications from National Grid that they are experiencing electric supply price increases. Since solar credits are being displayed on your National Grid bill, the electricity that your share of the farm generates is valued at the rate the utility sets. Back in December, you should have received an email that explains while their supply prices have increased, the value of your credits should help you continue to offset your utility costs as much as possible. Regarding your comment about invoicing delays, Nexamp does not bill you until we receive confirmation from National Grid that credits have been placed on your account. Unfortunately, at the start of 2022, there were delays in receiving this critical information from the utility which hindered our ability to stay current with invoicing for the credits applied to your account. We apologize for the inconvenience, and always offer flexible payment plans and do not charge interest or late fees. We are a veteran-founded business committed to helping people decarbonize their life. We operate in numerous states and help tens of thousands of customers save money on their electricity bills every month. We are committed to providing the best service possible for all our customers and apologize if we didnt meet your expectations.

      Thank you for reply. However, it does not address the fact that I am being charged not on my electrical usage but on how much electricity is being generated by the number of solar panel that Nexamp over estimated. Credits or not credits my bill from Nexamp is running 100 dollars or more over what I would expect for the winter months. Nexamp also did not response to why I was mislead about how the program actual works. I was told to expect a 15% discount in my electric bill and that clearly is not the case. Every time I have called I have hear another song and dance sketchy explanation of why my bill is so high. It is my understanding that the Commonwealth does not regulate solar farms leaving solar farms to tell customers what ever they like. I have reached out to my state representative to address regulations of this industry. In the meantime, potential customer should be aware.

      They didn't tell us that we would be billed separately and I have sent a copy of a receipt and I am still being charged that amount. We opted out quickly. Also no savngs

During the signup process we try to be as clear as possible to explain that Nexamp invoices separately based on reductions that were applied to your utility bill at your agreed upon discount.
