The sales department did not do right for my 79-year old mother!!! Used car sales reputation seems to still be the same, inmy opinion, even iven the technology and supposedly "transparent" methods.My mother purchased a car in June 2023 from Crown Buick. She paid cash. The salesperson, ****, aid that she had a warranty... 3 months or ***** miles. ** my opinion they say anything to make the sale!!! The tire sensor came on. I called **** about the sensor and he said to bring it in. He did not say this was not a part of the warranty so we brought the car into service. ********************* had its own issues with customer service but this is about the sales ****************** person told us after having to call them 2 hours later on a 1.5 hour job stating that the cost was $280. We said its under warranty. After many discussions, the powertrain was only under warranty and we had to pay the entire amount. **** said he talked to his director and the director said that we had to pay the cost. The director did not even have the customer servicing skills to call or talk to me himself. It felt like he hid from the "heat". I thought that was his job. They did not try to work the issue out. He did not care about the customer. The sale was made - cash! The sensor is a $20-30 part and the cost was $290.... there was flexibility given the misinformation but the sale was done! If told the repairs was not under warranty, then we could have taken the car elsewhere and not paid dealer prices. I do not ever want to gave any business with Crown Buick and I want people to know of their business practices. At least, *****, the service director, talked with me. She understood her issues within her department, fromour conversation. She took time to talk to me.HINT to business: word of mouth is a real thing and I have nothing good to say about this organization
