    I received an email from a ******* ******* *************.  TrueAccord.com
It was not even sent to my true email address. It was sent to ********************* and that is not my correct email. My email has a “.” separating my first and last name.

    The email is attached.
I have never heard of True Accord, **** ******* ***, or ******** ******* *********** of South Carolina (******** *******).I have never had an account with any of these companies, nor do I have an outstanding debt to any companies. I have never had an account ending in the digits provided in the email. I have never received any bill from any of these companies listed above. Nor have I ever had anything like this reflect on my credit. It is not real!

I believe this is a scam.
I have exceptional credit and I want this to be removed and any association my name has with it, and to not ever receive anything from them again.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:True Accord said that they emailed me on Jan 9, 2023 with information. I do not delete emails and after reviewing all of my emails , I found none from True Accord with any of the information they detailed in their response. The only email I have ever received from True Accord is the one I detailed in my initial complaint. One thing they did not address and this is why I mostly likely have never received anything before, was because it wasn’t even to my correct email. Meaning, I am not the person they intended to send it to.
I appreciate that you will not be contacting me anymore since I do not have any outstanding debts or creditors, but I would appreciate you working with the creditor (whoever that even is) and you contact the right person and don’t harass people who have no business with your companies.

    Regards,

I have received several e-mails from TrueAccord in the past. Now I am receiving them again. within the last month saying I owe a balance of 1,226.20. I never took out this loan, never heard of True Accord until last year when they sent me the same thing. This time True Accod does not give the original creditor. They do not reference an address and I do not want to click on the email to view their website. They need to stip sending mail to individuals home with a credit card with credit on it. I want these emails from TrueAccord to stop.

Company sent an email claiming I owed over $19,000 to original creditor of ************* **** ***********. I have never heard of this company. I called, gave the lady my name and the so called account number, then gave her my birthdate, then even gave her last 4 digits of my social security number. She said NONE of that information was on file. I then gave her all the same information for my dad and she again said none of that information matches. So the account does NOT belong to myself or my dad. I then asked her to remove my email since it was not me and was told I have to contact support to have it all validated in order to have my email removed.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: There were three different people the day of the phone call who told me they COULD NOT remove my email from your contact list unless I could give enough information for them to confirm the account. This obviously cannot be done when I have no idea who you are, who the account was originally with, and have never had a debt with anyone for that amount. This is exactly why people turn to the BBB with complaints on companies such as you. You sit there and claim you did one thing the very same day three of your employees told me it could not be done. The only thing you were honest about in your reply was the fact you have not contacted me since. I cant help but wander if that was because I also told you if you contact me again about this debt which is not mine then I would turn it over to an attorney. Actions such as these from companies such as yours need to be put out in public. I find it extremelly hard to believe you have an honest A rating after the way I was treated and you never had a reason to contact me to begin with.

My son has received numerous emails over the past month from TrueAccord about a debt that is owed to ********* ********* in the amount of $2,036.81. A TrueAccord account number of **************** is given in the emails. Even though the emails are sent to his email address, they are addressed by name to me. Both my son and myself have no idea what this debt is about.

My son moved out of our house in July 2022 and has assured me that he has no debt other than his car, which is a different amount owed, and he is currently up-to-date with all his payments. His student loans are paid off as well.

My wife and I don't have a debt with ********* ********* and have never used them for anything. Our credit scores are near 850, our bills and credit card balances are paid off monthly, and we have no reason to not pay anything we legitimately owe. When we do open a credit card account, or any account for that matter, we certainly don't use our son's email address.

We want these emails to my son to stop at once, and I don't want to start getting them either. This is NOT our debt. If they are seriously thinking it is ours, I want as much detailed information on it as possible such as when it was opened, the purpose, our address used and payment history.

On June 6 True Accord somehow received a portion of my long term disability payment before it was deposited into my banking account. They stole my money before I could get it, almost five hundred dollars without any consent. This is illegal and they should be stopped.

TrueAccord is a third party debt collection company established to reimagine the debt collection experience for consumers. Founded in 2013, TrueAccord communicates primarily via email and offers an inbound customer service center in the event a consumer prefers to call in and speak with a live agent. One of our guiding principles is treating our consumer-customers with dignity and respect. We are a licensed and bonded agency accredited with the BBB and registered with the CFPB. We maintain a full-time internal compliance department that established our policies and procedures to exceed the minimum regulatory requirements of the state, federal and local laws governing collections. Our in-house training program instructs our agents on these policies, including annual refresher courses. TrueAccord does not own the account in question. On December 14, 2022, the current creditor placed the account and the account’s corresponding contact information in our system for collection. On December 15, 2022, TrueAccord sent you an initial email detailing the creditor, an itemization of the amount due, how the debt could be disputed, and the option to unsubscribe. It also included a link to the CFPB website (********************************) for you to learn more information about your federal rights.  Per our records, you created and agreed to a payment plan on January 2, 2023, for $52.41 on the 2nd of each month. The first payment was processed on January 2 when you created the payment plan and agreed to TrueAccord’s payment terms and conditions. That same day, two emails were sent to the email address you provided, which matches the email address on this complaint. The emails confirmed your payment plan and confirmed the success of your first payment. On January 23, 2023, an email was sent to that email address, reminding you that your next payment on the payment plan would be processed soon. On February 5, the second payment successfully ran and an email was again sent to your email address, confirming that a payment in your payment plan had been successfully processed. Once each of the payments was posted, they were remitted to the creditor in accordance with our policies and procedures. Because (1) the payments have already been remitted to the current creditor and (2) the payments were posted according to your chosen dates and times, and in accordance with the terms and conditions that you agreed to, TrueAccord is unable to refund these payments. We suggest you reach out directly to the current creditor if you wish to  pursue a refund.  Please note that at this time, your payment plan remains active. If you have any more questions or would like to take further action on the account or the payment plan, you may contact us via email at ********************** or by phone at ***** *********

We hope that this response thoroughly addresses your concerns.
