      I took my Mower to Coleman Implement for service and repair. was told upfront that it would be 2 weeks before they could look at it. I waited the required period. When they finally looked at it. They said it would be 1875. I said that would be fine and authorized the repair. I has since been 3 more weeks. Now they are telling me I am behind everybody else. I said I will pick it up and take it elsewhere. Now I am being told that I will have to pay a diagnostic fee before they will release it to me. I don't feel this is my fault because the can't seem to do the job in a timely manner. They will not give me a loaner or release my mower. I don't feel the charge is fair , since they can't complete the work.

      We drove 12 hours from Michigan to purchase a $24,000 piece of equipment. The salesperson told us they won’t sell to anyone who lives more than 150 miles from their location. They claim corporate rules prevent them from doing so. We called corporate and they said it’s up to the individual retailer to make their own rules. Well the “rules” are all in consideration of their independently owned dealerships sales territory. They have a system in place to protect them from price gouging and poaching each other’s customers. Their entire sales system is set up to provide a bizarre territorial “turf” protection to the dealers. They have zero consideration for the actual customer.

      This customer contacted us by phone before driving down, and was told that we did not have inventory available to sell him. During these short inventory times, we have held back some products specifically to support our local customers, but that was not the case here. There is no possible way this customer should have been under the impression that he could drive long distance to pickup a new machine, he was informed before he left that the machine he wanted was already sold. He came in with a friend and was very aggressive with our staff, filming the whole encounter with his cell phone and threatening to run the interaction live on social media. He would not leave the store and called our other locations trying to talk someone in the company into selling him something that was already sold. He would not take no for an answer. We finally had to contact the police and kick him off the premises.
