2 starsWe have a 2022 260RD. The coach wall is buckled and broken at the top of the ********** opening. This fact has been verified by General **. Less than one year old at time of failure. I have a repair slot at the factory 12/13. The wall cannot be repaired to an adequate standard. It is the ********* system. I had a tech look at it and he agrees that the slide is simply too large and heavy for the cantilevered weight to be supported by the sidewall. The wall lacks the strength and rigidity. The ********** weight is also well above Lipperts published weight capacity. I have several emails to customer service and asked for my case to be escalated only to be refused. The 2023 260RD has been reengineered and is now using a more robust rack and pinion slide. Telling isnt it? We really enjoyed the ** until this. We want the ** we paid for.Grand Design RV

1 starPurchased a brand new 2023 momentum toy hauler fifth wheel. 9/6/23 What a rip off. Had it one Day. ONE DAY AT HOME. Refrigerator doesnt work needs to been replaced. The oven doesnt work needs to be replaced. The microwave comes on by itself needs to be replaced. The fuel station gas tank one of them was cracked and full of contaminants. Rust and water so it needs to be replaced. The two fans that open up for ventilation wont open they need to be replaced. the valves for the black water and gray water dump stations. The pull handle cable are rusted solid they dont work. the generator was blocked up due to the contaminated fuel, the heat and air conditioning doesnt work. What works is I now am paying a monthly paymt on something I do t have. What an absolute rip off. Do not buy a Grand Design trailer. I have tried to contact them and get a decision maker. Its impossible. They do not care about the consumer. Horrible quality. I guess the only recourse is Legal action.Grand Design RV

1 starOur 2022 Reflections 315rlts has been nothing short of a nightmare since day one. From all the things mentioned before and more. Trim falling off, Refrigerator not attached and tipped over ! the laminated doors are peeling, tire link system missing, remotes where missing, rubber seal torn on slide out. A hole thru the slide rail, yes a hole ! About the size of a nickle ! Ladder spider cracked the fiberglass in the rear. Counter tops not installed evenly. Power cord came apart and trips the breaker when it rains. That seems safe ! On and on to some 27 diffrent issues. Have several tickets and phone calls opened with Grand design and ******************************* where we bought. They had it for 7 months and never touched a thing ! The even hit our camper and dint even bother to fix that. I am sick of sending picture after picture and video after video and hearing we are sorry. We have reached out and reached out to both Grand Desing and the owner of *****************. We are done with Grand Design and there broken promises and lies along with there dealer *****************. I will never recommend either one of them to anyone ever ! In fact I am going to go out of my way to make sure no one else spends a huge amount of money on a "top" rated camper. It's garbage and I hate even looking at it ! Make matters worse the last time I spoke with Grand design they told me all our warranty claims where payed and completed. So now I have to look into consumer fraud because nothing was touched but someone got payed ! We just wanted it fixed....now we want it replaced....not with the same unit. We want the best of the best they have to offer. All the time, money,stress, trips back and forth an hour each way at $5 a gallon and vacations we missed over this its the least someone could do for us. Word of mouth is every thing. That's why we bought a reflections in the first place. Friends had one we loved it so much we bought one. Horrible and hope people spread the word on this like me.Grand Design RV

1 starI think the Grand Design Reflection is poorly constructed. Cheap materials are used. Our 2022 3033RL has had the trim come loose, the sliding door to the bathroom track has broken, the headboard fell off the wall, the battery will not charge, the trim by the recliners fell off. 1 starQuality is terrible! A brand new trailer is a complete lemon. DO NOT BUY their product. It should be illegal to sell defective trailers and steal peoples hard earned money. ITS NOT RIGHT. We have had our trailer for about 6 months in our possession and the rest with a dealer who says they will fix the defects per warranty but have not. Grand Design should be following up with this. A brand new trailer should not have ANY manufacturing issues PERIOD! This seems like a regular thing with Grand Design from what I read and hear. If you want your customers to be ********** issues, and stop making cheaply made trailers for a higher end price tag. Its deceiving. The latest issue was the roof not originally sealed properly, there were two leaks and water got into the ceiling causing mold and was surrounding electrical. We have children and this causes a health issue! As well as a tear in the roof. They agreed to pay for repairs but it took about 4 calls to get it approved however the dealer has been paid but gave back our trailer without fixing the problems. Let me do you a favor.DO NOT BUY A GRAND DESIGN. The fact the a new trailer has so many issues is a red flag.Grand Design RV

1 starI have a 2018 Grand Design 2800BH and have been dealing with a delaminating wall issue since early 2020.I have had to deal with a few different people at Grand Design and have not found a suitable option to fix this issue. The option for us to get the unit to them on our cost is not good enough, I need someone there to help come up with better option to fix this that doesn't cost me over$6000 in shipping charges alone.The wall is now delaminating all the way down from the top corner down to the bottom, to the point where I can push on the loose fiberglass and clearly see it moving from the glue letting go and I and now scared to even use the ** or pull it anywhere for fear it may get worse and worse as we drive.This wall issue has caused so much stress for us and has really taken the joy and excitement out of the camping and ** owning experience, I cannot afford to ship it to you, I cannot sell or even trade the trailer in the way it is and now don't want to use it for risk of the wall delamination getting worse. I assumed that Grand Design set out to build quality rv's and that's why we chose Grand Design and we love this trailer but I really need you guys to help me make this right. The wall should not be coming apart after minimal use. I am hoping there are some options we can agree upon. I know Grand Design is known for top notch service which was a huge deciding factor for us and we want to be able to rant and rave about the amazing service and products from grand design but we really need some help on repairing this issue.Grand Design RV

Thank you for writing regarding our customer ****************************** According to our records:
- The ** in question was manufactured 4/18/2017
- It was originally sold to another owner on 5/11/2017
- The One-Year Grand Design Limited Warranty expired on 5/11/2018
- The three year Limited Structural Warranty expired 5/11/2020, but that warranty is not transferrable
- ************************** phoned us on 5/18/2020 and we had no record of him as a second owner but offered to assist as a goodwill gestureif he would bring the unit to our factory- Customer did not contact us again until 7/26/2021 (over 14 months since first contact)
- It is now nearly 6 years since this unit left our factory and over 39 months since we made our goodwill offer to repair
Because of the facts listed above and the fact that we have not been involved in the use and maintenance of this vehicle, we feel our obligation has been fulfilled.Review fromTammy l T

1 starPurchased a brand new 2023 Grand Design Momentum toy hauler June 27 2023. Brought it home , didnt even get to put my stuff in it . Took it back to dealer in less than a week cause it was pouring water in from the slide. Took it back July 3rd 2023 and they keep giving me the run around. They havent even started repairing it . I had to cancel my vacation because of this inconvenience. I regret ever buying it. I never got to spend the first night in it. I would advise anyone not to purchase anything from them. Im contacting my lawyer in the morning to see if I can get out of this contract and they can keep it.Grand Design RV

1 starA company and industry, I wish I had avoided when I purchased a 2022 Grand Design Imagine MK. I will never get back the health, time, and self respect they have robbed from me: with their catastrophic contempt the customer, me. I simply want to say that these recent reviews which have 1 star, are totally congruent with the nightmare experience I have had with them and I wholeheartedly agree with their assessment. The gaslighting; The sociopathic lack of empathy; the hanging up; the accusing; will waste your time, money and dignity, AVOID IT!Items I had to call about: * oven never worked from day one * green plastic propane fittings disintegrated month 6 * space heater fireplace broke after a year, no more heat * Black water tank valve froze in the open position * gas fitting on side is recalled; so that needs better torque they said.* The furnace glitched out and I had to have a plumber (got paid by grand design) on the first year, reset the furnace.* 6 drawers just fell apart because the staples used to hold them together were too flimsy * the windows leak water down the wall and cause mold.* The refrigerator gets stuck and the handle broke off, So i have to worm my finger into the crack to pop it open now.* The water pipes freeze when its barely above freezing, yet this thing was advertised to me as 4 seasons. * the caulking (which is supposed to waterproof the sink) just peeled off. None of these affronts to my investment compare to the indignity of the: gaslighting, hanging up the phone, false accusations, discrediting, disparaging, shaming, preaching, and OUTRIGHT NONSENSE these people subject you to when you try to complain/ discuss the injury they caused in to your life. An injury caused by Grand Design selling a poor quality product. The totally disgusting and breathtaking customer service experience is something I would pay thousands of dollars to never experience again. 1 starWe bought a 2021 grand design transcend explorer travel trailer 2 years ago brand new and didn't have much time to use it the first year. Well after taking it on multiple trips this year what a piece of junk, especially who ever put this thing together.1. I had to totally recaulk the roof because it was cracking and not done properly ( I keep mine covered in the winter here in *********,**).2. BIG ONE - the awning completely tore on the seam about 3 feet, no the wind did not cause this. The stitching was horrible.3. The electric awning stopped working on the 5 the time we used it so I had to manually open it and when I inspected the wires but we're crimped between the metal causing a short, great attention to detail on the install.4. The freezer completely opens up while going down the road, the latch is terrible. The seal is also coming off.5. The cabinet doors are loosing their finish and it's not from us opening and closing them, horrible finish.6. The kitchen table is completely warping.7. Several screws on the outside holding the trim on backed out so I had to replace them and silicone them in.8. The slide out opens automatically when it wants, sometimes I need to manually open it up about a foot first.9. The sliding bathroom door and bedroom door the leading edge finish is coming off and the latches both broke.10. The toilet leaks and constantly has to be tightened up.I have reached out to grand design customer service and they stated they cannot help me out with the awning and they will try to contact the vendor for the cabinets, that was last month, they are dragging thier feet and their customer service stinks. I'm a disabled retired US Marine and was hoping when we dumped all this money into this lemon we would be able to go out and enjoy camping instead of constantly making repairs and stressing about if we will be able to keep this expensive driveway paperweight.Bottom line is I will never recommend grand design.Grand Design RV

I'm very sorry for the customer's frustration with his trailer. Fortunately, none of the items that the customer lists prevent use of the trailer. The trailer was purchased on March 5, 2021 and it comes with a one year base warranty that expired on March 5, 2022. The last time that the customer contacted our customer service department was on March ******* and he was advised on the warranty process; there are 0 warranty claims for this customer. Even with the warranty expiry, we did reach out to the customer and we are sending him a replacement awning (to the closest Grand Design dealer of his choosing) as a one time goodwill. Thank you.
