I have to agree with the majority of complainants on this site regarding AIG. I have been bounced around to 13 various customer service people who offered me no satisfaction whatsoever . I was given many wrong email addresses initially or no info at all as to where to submit my BIG $44 warranty rebate info regarding the Labor only for a replacement capacitor in my HVAC system. I hired two different HVAC companies to substantiate that my A/C capacitor was about to die .I then had to have it replaced on 1/30/23. My attempts to even submit my information to AIG began on February 2, 2023, and dragged out after countless conversations and emails . Finally on April 10. I received an email saying that I was told on March 1 ? That my claim was denied via email which I have never received. However, the representative said she was re-submitting it again.! Why if it was already denied? Anything to drag it out more . I live in Florida, and it is vital that we have an air conditioner yet their reason for denying my claim was that the capacitor did not fail completely, even though it was clearly dying . I was told that the product Has to completely “die” before you could submit a warranty yet in their contract it only indicates “product failures” are covered. It’s obvious that this company uses semantics ignorance and many other ploys not to have to pay off their warranty claims and I feel they should be investigated.!

Like many others, super disappointed with AIG and will never ever purchase an extended warranty plan or any type of insurance through that company again. A waste of money and total scam as we still had to pay out of pocket only to discover that it was salvage after a month of working. We were told a Food Loss Reimbursement form would be emailed to us yet nothing was sent nor offered / mentioned of on the first run of it failing on us. Apparently we had 45 days to submit it as well which was never shared with us nor on the original contract listed. Best of luck to anyone with a warranty with AIG.

So far I am not impressed with the beginning process of my warranty with AIG. And now after reading all these bad reviews I am probably going to regret getting the warranty. If that is going to be the case and the end result is not good, I will indeed call and wright the BBB and light up social media about AIG in every way possible!!

This company is a scam. Trying to schedule a service call for the 5th breakage of the refrigerator. On the phone for hours. Nobody answers. This company should be shut down or better yet sued for fraud.

This company has poor customer service . The representative Jackie has no customer service etiquette. SHE was rude and said I will have to wait as well.as the repair company. She also stated I dont have a washer at the moment either that's not my issue.
My washer has been serviced 6 times and they refused to give me a certificate for replacement . WAITING from 15 to 21 days for parts and hold time for an agent was between 45 min to an hour. THIS company represents a popular brand and the spectrum of representation is horrible. Once I decided to cancel the warranty the only thing that was stated by the manager that it was not recommended to cancel. Maytag Whirlpool if you have these people representing your billion dollar company I would rethink the contract.

This is a not true by far.I am the one that has reached out on several occasions and got the same response. We have to go through a process. This machine had been worked on over 7 times....since then I had to purchase a new one ..and i think that I should be reimbursed for the replacement of the unit

I bought the extended warranty on my refrigerator and AIG says they do not have anybody in my area to service it. Why do you sell a product if you cannot honor it. I called the appliance store and he refused to deal with them. He said repairmen run when they hear extended warranty. I called another person and he won’t work with them either. I emailed and asked for a full refund for my warranty and she said I could only get a prorated refund which means hardly nothing. This is wrong on so many levels. I would give them a zero rating if I could. SCAM SCAM SCAM

I have a whirlpool refrigerator that started giving me trouble a year and a half after purchase. I did buy the extended warranty through the AIG US warranty division out of Jefferson Ville Indiana. My refrigerator was freezing inside the fridge. Local technician was called through this company they’ve been down here four or five times if not more and replaced many parts as recommended. I have a small leak in my Freon line hidden and therefore unrepairable. I have called aig many times and they just kick the can down the road their technician said they would never declare it a lemon my current contract runs out in May. They have replaced numerous parts still no declaration of unrepairable, in my opinion they never will do that. DO not purchase any extended warranty through AIG US warranty division. If you have a problem, serious problem, it will never be fixed. If you get in the mail any notification of extended warranty from this company tear it up, I’ll regret and never again will i use a third party company for warranty. Buy the warranty from the company you bought it from after that forget it.

After almost 2 years and many trips for repairs they have agreed to give me a new refrigerator through the whirlpool cooperation technicians although they were the go between. I have finally been satisfied, but it took much longer than it should have. Use this company or not it’s up to you.

Purchased an extended warranty through Sony's website, company is making it literally impossible to file a claim:
    1. The "File a claim" section on Sony's website won't work
    2. No information available on Google
    3. Finally get the number from Sony, Person answers, tranfers me back to sony
    4. Call a second time, after 2 hours I am now told (by the same person) that I need to provide pictures of the product. The product is at the repair shop as instructed when I contacted Sony with the problem
    5. Am told to get the camera back from the shop so that I can take pictures of the non-existent damage
    6. Refuse to call the repair shop that SONY TOLD ME TO SEND IT TO
    7. Ask to speak to a supervisor, am transferred BACK TO Sony
As a professional that relies on this product for my livelihood, I am absolutely disgusted

AIG warranty is a scam do not purchase it, I have been without my wash machine for over a week, I have spent 2 days on the phone with Maytag and AIG and both of the companies have a phone service that puts you in a circle and you wait and wait and no one comes on the line, then I did get ahold of 4 different people one day and every time I gave all my info the phone would disconnect it was so irritating. Then I did get ahold of a guy and he told me I would get an email letting me know if they could fix it. So 3 days later I get an email that says I need to get an estimate and a list of parts and then email that to AIG and they would send the parts to the repair place, how long would that take.. so today I got email that says they have no one in my town to fix it. So I got on the phone with a local repair man that we purchased the machine from and they will be out Friday. I called AIG all day today again and got tossed from this person to that person and am so frustrated with this merry go round, I finally talked to a manager and told her I was going to get it fixed and send them the receipt and she informed me that that is not how the warranty works, I asked her what kind of stupid warranty was this and told her no I’m not waiting I am getting it fixed and I want my money back for my warranty and she said yes they could do that but they will deduct money and it will take up to 30 days to get some money back. I told her to do it and I bet I never get my money back. This service plan is a scam and Maytag should be ashamed to be associated with this place. The BBB should look into this place and get our money back and also for our time and frustration they have put us through.
