Our sell **** ******* was very nice and very genuine. I was "pre-approved" before I made my appointment with ******. The sell ***resentative, ******, told me that ******* wasn't even a sales *** and only an assistant! He then put us in a room and started to talk about the credit application BEFORE I even saw any vehicle on their lot! How could any dealership start a credit application and try to run a credit score BEFORE letting their customers look at their inventory? That's doesn't make any logical sense. I explained this to the sales *** which he understood and agreed to talk to his manager about it. They agreed to me looking at the inventory before running my credit and impacting my ability to buy a vehicle elsewhere if Grote didn't have a vehicle I wanted. I was between three vehicles. A 2023 Equinox with a bit over ****** miles, a 2018 Equinox with a bit over ****** miles, and a 2020 **** Escape with a bit over ****** miles. The sales *** only brought up the two Equinox because of price. Didn't even offer me the pricing for the **** Escape. AFTER signing my life into financial debt, found out the **** Escape was in fact cheaper and closer to the original monthly payments I asked to stay within. This vehicle wasn't even offered to me for a quote at all. When I was provided the quote and price for the 2023 Equinox, they were requesting a bit over $20,000 AFTER my trade in for my 2012 Rogue. I check KBB and again, was a bit pressured, to look up the Grote Vehicle online to see if they were giving me a FAIR quote. I quickly checked and saw that they were. Went to sign papers and felt pretty good. Not even 24 hours and again, my own doing, but again, hoping and assuming Grote would offer me the best deal, did in fact NOT offer me the best deal. Because I quickly found out that other local dealers are offering 2024 Equinox with the same perks with almost ****** miles LESS than the current vehicle I purchased for ALMOST the exact same pricing. Do not buy from here!

I was contacted by a lady from grote automotive here in ***************, ******* under the promise that I was allowed set and pre qualified for a zero down low monthly payments on a couple different vehicles. After the lady convinced me to come in, and I did to show my proof of income and other nessicary paperwork, I was denied without much of a thought. This is the worst dealership I've dealt with and I'd recommend not going there at all. Don't even waste your time considering it.

I spent 3 days on the phone with the executive assistant to the general manager who told me. I was qualified 47 dollars down twenty five Thousand dollar loan told me that I qualified for any car unlocked and then I went to get my car And they were going to Buy my truck and then I get to the Then I get to the ***** in ******* where the executive assistant was supposed to meet me to help me with my car. And she didn't show up. And then they told me I had to have a thousand dollars down and I wasn't prequalified And then I was talking to them calmly and they told me. I was being hostile when I was just trying to figure out why one part of their company would tell me 1 thing. And the assistant manager was the one that told me their Executive general manager just started and she don't know what she's talking about

Went there last week, and I am so happy with the service I received! All of the salespeople were very professional and knew what they were talking about. I highly recommend Grote! They have a great selection of vehicles, and they truly care about you!

Tried to look up their inventory once for a truck. Oops. Didn't know how horrible they were. Blew my phone up with texts until they finally talked me in. I go in everything is fine. My credit ***** and I knew I'd need a down payment either way so I had gotten 1k ready since they are "for the people" figured that would be plenty. I wasn't allowed to pick my vehicle they rolled ** in an SUV when I asked for a truck. Said I could trade it in 4 to 6 months for a truck. Also said it would boost my credit 20 points a month starting the first month which is a lie. They lie to get u in lie to you about ur credit changing and pick whatever they think u should get. Refuse to talk about what the payments are until the very end. I make 30 an hour after deductions it's 760 a week. They wanted *************************************************************************************************** to make decisions without my wifes acknowledgement.

Poor salesmen, I went in with a friend to co-sign with her. He didn't have her sign anything. When we were finished, we went to get insurance and plates we found out I was the owner of the car, and she was the co-signer. We have had to work with the loan company to get it changed. When we asked them anything they said they did it right. Somehow, she was able to get it insured and plated in her name.

Grote Automotive put the wrong VIN on the contract, paperwork to the state and paperwork with the 45 day temporary plate. Now plates expire in 2 days and DMV still hasn't received corrected paperwork. DMV told us to contact Grote for a new paper plate. They refused saying just explain to the officer every time you get pulled over and it'll be fine, then hung up on me telling me he didn't like my tone. My boyfriend called back and they still refused to do anything. We've already made our first payment and I told my boyfriend, I'm not paying this month if can't get plates, the guy told him he could just park it until we can get plates, told him not paying for a parked vehicle. Need it for my boyfriend to go to work and me and my mother to Dr ************* I am a cancer patient. We already had the starter go out within the first 19 days, they towed it in, but only charged the battery. Then the battery went out last week and we had to drive to ******* to have a new one put in after lots of back and forth about it. Battery should have been replaced when it was dead from the starter, we have a 2 year warranty. They tried to refuse the battery replacement, but pointed out the fact that it was so dead they had to tow it after the starter which was less than the 30 days they warranty the battery for. I'm wondering if they s**** everyone this way. I definitely will not recommend them to anyone ever after this experience. Why would you pay more than 400 a month for a vehicle you can't plate

I just received a credit denial email on behalf of Grote Automotive. Don't trust these people. If they say no credit check required do NOT allow them to run your credit. They ran mine a total of 5 times after I told them no don't worry about it when they said they couldn't finance me after the first time without a big down payment or me trading in both of my other vehicles.
