************************** at Downers Dental let her in-network status lapse however did not tell patients. When my college student went for a simple cleaning and xrays, bottom line is expecting it free and being billed $553! At first they charged her $221 and I called upset about that. I was told they would give me a refund. But then after I pestered them for 4 months for that refund, they upped the bill another $315 saying they forgot to charge for extra xrays they took in case she comes back to have her wisdom teeth pulled. My daughter doesn't remember xrays upon xrays. I am checking with my insurance to see if they added more to the Estimate of Benefits months later, if they have a historical record, and have called an attorney because I am suspicious they are scamming people. The office staff is shockingly snarky and rude. They dug up my husbands free cleaning and now want $215 from him saying they forgot to charge him when they went out of network. When I asked specific questions about the bills, they keep emailing back saying READ IT... it's all there, and refuse to answer questions. They have bad reviews on yelp but of course they control their FB reviews plus reviews on their own website and deleted mine off both sites.
