    On June 14, 2025, my son and I drove 6 hours from Tennessee to Springfield, IL to purchase his first car—a 2009 Ford Mustang—from Auto Mall of Springfield after finding it on C*******. He contacted the dealership to ask about shipping, but was told he had to apply through their site and drive up if approved. He applied, was approved, and we made the trip the same day.
    During the test drive, my son noticed the air wasn’t working. The salesman said it just needed to be charged and that A******* could do it. I asked if they could fix it before we left, but was told mechanics aren’t there on weekends. I expressed concern, since we had a long, hot drive back to TN. When we met with the manager for final approval, I brought it up again. He had the salesman recharge it.
    After finalizing approval, we were sent off-site to a different building to sign. The numbers didn’t match, and I had to insist they call the manager to fix it. We drove home to TN, but by the next day (June 16), the windows, A/C, and radio stopped working. On June 17, the car wouldn’t start. We replaced the battery to get it going.
    We called the dealership and were told the 15-day warranty only covers the transmission. On July 7, the car died again while driving and had to be towed. A police officer even asked my son if it was stolen. We took it to a Ford dealer who confirmed the motor was seized.
    I called the manager and politely explained. He was rude, dismissive, and hung up on me. I tried repeatedly to call back. Another rep said he’d call me back—he never did. Another manager hung up on me again.
    My son hadn’t even made his first payment. We were sold a lemon and treated terribly. Auto Mall of Springfield’s customer service is unacceptable. Their claims of “quality inventory” and “trusted service” are misleading. Do not buy from them.

    they have sold me a lemon. their mechanics have blatantly ignored damage that was immediately found by a 3rd party mechanic from a previous wreck which wasnt filed. they tried to withhold my cancellation of my warranty because their sales employee ‘eddie’ wanted an apology because of the word ‘*******’. within the first 2 weeks of having the car it wouldnt start and my radio screen and infotainment system completely shut off. not to mention i was pulled over because the car was registered as a white sedan, even though it is currently black and i bought it black. within not even 2 years of having the car i have had to spend around the same amount of money in repairs as i did when i initially purchased the car. when buying it they swore up and down that electrical components, the cadillac cue screen, and mechanical components would be covered yet they haven’t covered a single thing, causing my family to pay for everything to fix the car. my interactions with them and their practices have been egregiously deceptive and immensely frustrating alongside a blatant disregard for professionalism. NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. In my experience it has been horrid and my car has spent around the same amount of time in a mechanics shop as it has on the road.

    My fiance bought a 3500 diesel truck, and we had it 2 weeks and now it sits, it's a 14000 paperweight. Was told by Eddie, he would fix anything that had to do with the powertrain. Haha, he won't return our phone calls. Also price for truck was listed as 9995, loan for 14000, when questioned told loan company added the GAP insurance and other fees. DO NOT buy a vehicle from this dealership. They are fraudulent and scammers. Just sent all paperwork to an attorney to see what ww can do. Just want them to take back this truck and close the loan. We are out so much money as this truck was to be for our business.

    The most dishonest business I have ever dealt with. They lied about the condition of the car we drive 2 hours each way. They lied about the repair of the car. They will not answer our calls all the voice boxes are full and will not accept messages. Then after 11 days still no car they wont tell us when it will be done. They wont return our money They offer us a car worth less money with no refund for the difference? Eddy is so dishonest eddy is not even his real name( ****** ****** ***** motors. is a lying crook along with his sidekick nate. Please look elsewhere for your vehicle this place should be shut down for deceitful business practices. The cars are not what they seem and the customer service is horrible. Only go here if you want to be lied to!

    I went to auto mall of springfield and wanted to buy a car that was listed at 9995 right well plus tax tittle and whatnot came to 10995. I had a down payment of 4 thousand. So u hand them the 4 grand they hand u a paper and u sign it. They inform u to take the car and drive 4 blocks down the road to sign the official paperwork and get your plates. So u mosey down the road to sign your finance contract and u look down and its now 26 thousand dollars. Yes u are reading that correctly. 26 thousand dollars. Let me tell u why. Because the dealer told me that they're not supposed to list the price of the car and the finance company has the right to set whatever price they want so now the car is 15 thousand dollars even though u agreed to 9995 when u handed them 4 grand 4 blocks down the road. It's ******** u think your getting a deal on a car your really not cause that 6 thousand remaining just turned into u owing more than 18 thousand dollars. I've been told that's not legal. So ????? ?????

    Eddie is extremely unprofessional. He texted me cursing and when directed to my husband, he would not call my husband. He preferred to text my phone in a harassing and threatening manner. Women beware!! He does poor business.

    I had a van with transmission issues and check engine light. I had it towed back 20 hours later. I won't recommend to and one.. I told them before it had issues and didn't want to listen because they told me everything is fix able just to have a loan with them. I don't care how this take my credit score down no one need to be treated that way even if they are a female. It was a black Dodge Grand caravan really it blue. Vin # **************** also refused to cancel the contract with credit acceptance corporation. So by his action I have hired a tow truck to drop it back off at the dealership 920 s dirksen Pkwy.

    No car no signed papers they refuse to refund my thousand dollars after I changed my mind on online type of deal ,they say it's their policy I've got nothing in my hand they have an extra thousand dollars .what can I do I live 435 miles away?

    Worst experience of my life, we made the mistake of purchasing a vehicle through this dealership, and it's been nothing but frustrating. Keith originally contacted us, and then transferred us to Eddie to make the sale, we provided a down payment and got financing in place, signed ALL the paperwork on a Saturday and the down payment wired on Monday. Asked what the next steps would be Monday we didn't receive a response until Tuesday. We asked Tuesday when we would expect to see the vehicle as we live out of state and it was to be transported to us, we received a reply of "should see it by the following Monday". The following Monday rolled around and we again checked in asking for an update as we weren't told who would be delivering the vehicle or when and were told it was posted for shipping "should have it by the end of the week." Thursday rolled around and we still haven't heard anything, then Friday after calling again were informed a module was out on the car and they had ordered a new one. We were then transferred back to Keith for a contact. When asked for an estimate on the arrival of the part nothing was provided. The part arrived Tuesday and hadn't been installed, when asked if it had fixed the issue and if they car shipped on Wednesday we heard crickets. Thursday come around and we again did the part fix the issue and when will the vehicle ship. We again got the vehicle has been posted for shipping, when asked for the transport companies info we were told we can't give that out. We then asked for GM/Finance contact info and were again given Eddies#. These people do NOT know how to communicate. We still don't have our vehicle and are at wits end.

    this is the worst place anywhere on earth to buy a car. I BEG BEG BEG YOU DONT GO THERE. if there's a means for me to give 0 star I will to that in a heart beat. Eddie, you will die a painful death. that my wish for you. this guy stole my 5 thousand dollars. I made a downpayment of 5k and after picking up the car I realized that the bill of sales was absolutely different from what I signed. the 5k went into thin air. even if it takes eternity I will get that money back.
