Sold me a **************************************************************************************************************************** their shop for over 2 weeks so as it got picked up from their service center even more problems came and of course telling me most not covered by warranty they sold me they new about bad oil leak noice from front end never fixed it and I have documents shower issue but never was fixed they want me to pay over $700 to fix Sold me car with bad leak which made serp belt slip heavy white smoke comes out tail pipe the car hesitates when trying to drive sold me a lemon they dont care cause finance company pays them in full for the vehicle purchase and we stuck paying bank for a lemon that cant operate over worked with over 3 new service managers from the time of purchase this is ridiculous and it seem like the warranty that was sold to me does not cover majority or any issues I was promised they would do right by me but still nothing at all my car has been in garage for over monthReview from Steve L

Purchased a ***** Crv, 2 days later the *** SYSTEM PROBLEM alert on the dash came up. Took it to the dealer and the manager didn't even bother to hook it up to a computer, just put it on a lift and said "look, no fluid leaking from the rear differential!" We took it to a dealer here in *******, **** and the rear differential fluid pump was found to be faulty. The differential was replaced. A few weeks later now EVERY WARNING LIGHT in the car's system is flashing. Took it back to the local dealer and they found the *** module is faulty, which is not covered by warranty and is a $700 dollar repair. I have documented it and sent it to the dealer and they have not responded. We have only had the vehicle for a few months and have continuous problems. We want a different vehicle as a replacement. We have had my truck from another dealer and have not had one issue with it in 3 years. We have a car from the same dealer and not one issue in 2 years. One should expect to NOT have major continuous issues with a vehicle fresh from the car lot!Review from Thomas L

Sold me a vehicle on 3-01-24 and the next day I found there to be a horrible leak in roof, front bumper started to fall off and as I was driving down spring creek the vehicle just turned off while moving in traffic, this vehicle stranded me twice on the road while driving, after letting it sit for ***** minutes itd fire alright back up!!! Then on my way to work a check engine light came on with 4 different codes!! I called and left a message with the service department and never received a response eventually I took the car back on 3-4-24 and asked for my down payment back and the vehicle used as a trade in or give me the value for the vehicle I traded in and was told theyre not required to give me anything back and tried selling me a different vehicle!!! Ive been fighting this company for over a week now!!! Worst place to do business with especially management!!! Im definitely reaching out to the Better Business BureauGrote Automotive Response

The dates were as follows: *10/27/2022 *** ******** LX2021 -Purchase price $26,500.00, Amount financed $30,828.06. Total down payment was $*****.00. Issues: The *** was insured through **************** however, ***** refused to renew the insurance for the *** because I did not have the installing kill switches that makes the vehicle inoperable without a key, car alarms with motion detection, steering wheel locking devices or vehicle tracking systems. I was informed by my insurance agent to go back to Grote to have the part installed in my car. The salesmen that I had been working with informed me that they were not referring to my 2021 ***. I proceeded to take my car back to Grote at which time the salesman informed me that they were aware of thefts with **** and there were 3 that were taken the night before. *7/3/2023 2021 **** Escape, purchased on 6/30/2023. I was asked to make a down payment in the amount of $885.31, in addition to the ***** payment I had made on the ***. I explained that I could not make the down payment at that time as the payment for the *** was being taken out that week of $660.63 through Regional Acceptance. The salesperson informed me that they are contacting Regional to let them know that I no longer have the *** ********, which would stop that payment of $660.63 and I agreed to pay the $885.31 down payment for the **** Escape to Grote Automotive. I drove the **** Escape for almost a month without knowing that I was not financed. *7/20/2023 2021 Buick Encore, the care that I now have through Grote in place of the of the 2021 **** Escape. My payments which were supposed to be the same amount as the 2021 **** ended up being over $100.00. When I questioned the salesman about the pricing and the payments, he stated in the presences of others that I would receive a check for $1,400.00 and another a couple of weeks later for $660.63 which is the extra payment that I made to Regional Acceptance. The car broke down less than 1 week of owning and had to be towed from my driveway. They would NOT supply a rental. Days later they said it was a relay switch and its fine. A month later, the car would not start again, about a half hour later it started, I never called. Today 1/19/24, guess what the car would not start again and I had to get a ride to work. I called Grote at 9:30 to say that the same problem is happening, but because the warranty expired 2 days ago the service guy was completely rude and would NOT let me talk. I got aggravated and yelled for him to be quite to let me finish talking, he said because I was being rude I could have a nice day and HUNG UP! I have HAD nothing but rude ignorant people talk to me from there. They sold me a piece of c*** for WAY OVER market price. DO NOT GO THERE, DO NOT USE THEM EVEN IF YOU FEEL ITS YOUR ONLY OPTION. I ISH I COULD BURN THIS CAR IN THEIR PARKING LOT BECAUSE THATS ALL ITS WORTH. I should have paid attention but they told me I couldn't buy the car UNLESS I had a co Signer. GUESS what I got a co signer, my mom, and they listed her as the buyer and me as the cosigner, so if that's the case why does my interest rate **** so bad and they did 10 HARD INQUIRIES on my mom, she was so ******. Then while I was buying the car, the guy that work there told me they got it from an auction but that it wasn't bad. WELL GUESS what it was, it was in a HORRIBLE accident. every door on the vehicle was different, the back passenger door was an electric window while the rest of the car was manual. The tires were unbalanced and off, the key fob ONLYT works for the driver door, the back speakers are not hooked to the stereo, the passenger door was repainted, the license plate are crooked. I could go on and on, but DUMMY me thought OMG I have a 2021 vehicle with under ****** miles. I was so desperate for a car that I was blinded by stupidity and Grote Automotive is doing NOTHING to help meReview from james h

the front desk kid was a a****** i told him when i picked up the *** that the wind shield had scratches from bad blades and he said i cant do anything about that i wanted it replaced or fixed he said no we dont do that i would never buy another car from grote automotiveReview from ST S

We are sorry for any inconvenience you have had. We strive very hard to make our customers happy. There are times when we are faced with difficult situations beyond our control as well. There is also human error that doesn't help either. Regardless we apologize for the experience that was less than you deserve. We hit the high note for people 95% (plus) of the time. In most academia that's a solid A! We continue to work on bettering ourselves and appreciate the feedback.
