Purchased a walk behind Mower with 10 Amp-hr battery July 2021. In 2025 the battery is failing no longer able to hold a full charge or even half of full capacity. EGO warranties the battery for 3 years +2 years for the 10 amp-hr model. EGO doesn't honor the additional 2 year period because they claim the product wasn't registered on their system. They acknowledged that I opened an account with them on July of 2021 apparently for no purpose. I provided them with the sales receipt for the mower with battery. Ego requested that I perform a battery capacity test using my leaf blower (test result 37 min 12 sec), Somehow EGO knew I owned a Leaf Blower. After receiving the results they asked for repeating the test with the Lawn Mower (1 hr 8 min 44 sec no load condiiton). They have since said that the battery is out of warranty.Initial Complaint

I purchased a lawn mower and battery from Ego in 2022. Both came with a 3 year warranty. In 2023 the battery stopped working and I contacted Ego regarding its defective nature. They provided a replacement battery. This replacement battery has now stopped working after 2 years. I contacted Ego they told me there was nothing they could do because my warranty expired. I inquired about how this is possible because this replacement is only 2 years old. They stated that my warranty is from the time of purchase in 2022. But the battery I was calling about is only two years old and is a replacement they sent to me. They again stated the warranty has expired. If today I were to go buy a brand new battery it would have a 3 year warranty. Because the battery I have now was a replacement, they state the warranty does not apply?? This is highly unethical to not honor their 3 year warranty just because it was a replacement.Initial Complaint

I want to report Ego Power Plus for not wanting to provide warranty after requested information was provided. I never encountered that level of mediocrity in my entire life. It took me more than 2 months to have mower battery replaced. I wouldnt had results if I didnt went to Lowes personally and spoke with two managers. Furthermore, every time I called they had a lousy excuse. First, they mail the battery, then it was out of stock. Obviously, they lied to me since the beginning I spoke with ****** and *** from customer service. Both of them didnt let me to talked with a supervisor and had the audacity of telling me lies about battery since the beginning. This is not charity I paid for a mower that included warranty service. It took me countless hours to solve something that should be fixed asap in the first place. I wont sponsor that company and request immediate investigation against them. What they are doing is committing fraud and providing the most mediocre service to the customers.Initial Complaint

A lawn mower was purchased for me by my Dad on July 14, 2021. I had a previous issue with the lawn mower back in 2022 and recieved an email when I had that issue that stated when my warranty was valid through. Last weekend, I went to cut my grass and the battery powered lawn mower would not start. The self propel will engage, but the blades will not turn on, nor any other feature such as the light in the front. I dropped it off at the location it was purchased as I have a warranty until July 14, 2026. Even the guy at in the service department could not start the mower. Ego is not honoring the warranty and customer service insinuating I do not know how to turn on the lawn mower that I have used the last few years. They asked for a video of me trying to start my mower, but it is already at Wohfeil's Hardware in *******, **. I gave them the contact information for them to contact Wohfeil's and the staff there could verify that was I was explaining was true. All I am asking is for Ego to honor the warranty.Customer Answer

I called ego to discuss a replacement battery for my trimmer/blower that I have purchased in 2022. The batteries will not charge and last only three minutes total I called the They were very polite very nice. The young lady that I spoke to we went back-and-forth I couldnt find my receipts at the time she would be registered Myproducts for the warranty. She said one battery would fall under manufacture warranty. The other one would not without a receipt and I understand that she said that she would send out a replacement battery. Two months went by had not received. I called to check on status and they told me they were not fulfilling my order because I didnt have a copy of a receipt. I asked that they pull the tapes and listen to the young lady explain that she was going to send one battery to me, after getting a phone call back from the management team saying that they reviewed the tapes and heard that she said that they will still not honor my change. They will not provide me with transcripts of my phone call for me to have for my records either. I have two dead machines in my garage that I cannot use unless I spend another $250-$300 on batteries Im not seeking anything but a replacement battery. I think it is very unprofessional that they will not honor what was told to a customer.Initial Complaint

EGO 4200E-S Zero Turn Mower Purchased at ACE Hardware Dear Better Business Bureau, I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding the EGO 4200E-S Zero Turn Mower I purchased on August 22, 2024, from ************ in *********, *******. The total price was $5,916. Shortly after the purchase, I submitted a product review which outlines my experience. It can be found on the EGO website. Since then, I've continued to experience serious safety and performance concerns. On sloped terrain, the steering is dangerously unreliable, often failing to guide the mower in the intended direction. If the brake is engaged for safety while on an incline, the mower becomes completely inoperable. To restart it, the brake must be disengagedcausing the mower to roll uncontrollably, creating a hazard to the operator and others nearby. The bagger attachment also consistently clogs unless the mower blade speed is set to its highest setting, which rapidly drains the battery. Despite EGOs claim of up to 2 acres per charge, I am unable to mow more than approximately half an acre before battery levels drop to 20%. I contacted EGO customer service just two days after purchase to report these issues. Unfortunately, I was disconnected during the initial call and received no response or follow-up despite multiple attempts in May and June 2025. ************ refused to issue a refund when I returned to the store seeking assistance. They claimed that EGO was the manufacturer and is fully responsible. I am requesting the BBBs help in resolving this issue with EGO. Ideally, I seek a full refund or an exchange for a mower suitable and safe enough for uneven terrain, as well as a formal review of this products design and safety standards. I purchased a POWER+ Mower 21" Self-Propelled with Touch Drive Kit (7.5Ah Battery) on 04/16/2023. The mower, charger, and battery were all with EGO Power+ within 1-2 days after purchase.Product: NLM22223045677X Charger: NCH02223045677X Battery: NBA10223045677X On 08/23/2025 I contacted support due to having issues with the battery. After some basic troubleshooting, it was determined that the battery is bad and needed to be replaced. I was told that I needed the original receipt even though the battery is registered and is still under the standard 3 year warranty. Unbelievably bad customer service. Strung me along trying to get service for a mower, which broke after having been used probably less than 30 times. 45 minute wait time on the phone, had to follow up via email to start my claim, they wanted the serial number of the charger too, for some reason, THEN wanted me to call them again and troubleshoot, which I'd already done--and after I demanded they process my claim now, THEY CLOSED the case. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They will delay and stall in the hope of wearing you out. It's like dealing with an ***.Initial Complaint

We bought a ego self propel mower for $600 two years ago mower gets infrequent use as it used at a summer home started it up and two steps in and the mower shuts off, self propel feature still worked but mower would not engage. Called ego customer service and was instructed to bring mower back to where we purchased it ( Lowes) with a service form that was provided by their *** via email. Arrived to Lowes as instructed only to be informed they dont service these mowers, call back ego customer service they give me a # of a servicer on their website ( which kind mind you is clearly not up to date) mowers blowers and more- I call this servicer as instructed and was told they no longer service any of there equipment as the customer service is awful and they have waited months for parts to arrive on equipment under warranty. I call back ego customer service for a third time and proceed to explain my frustrations asking the *** to find me a servicer in my area as I have spent half a day making calls, driving 1hr round trip to still have a broken mower that is clearly under warranty according to their website- equipment is c*** made in ***** and full of plastic dont BUY!!! Go with good ole reliable gas mower.
