Company will not release car after paid redemption and only releases car upon their availability which can be upwards to a week. Hours of operation are only from 9-3(less than 8hrs a day)Business Response

The release process for the vehicle is managed by the finance company that holds the loan. Our company does not have control over the time it takes for the finance company to complete and forward the release documentation. Once the official release paperwork is received, the vehicles VIN is updated in our system, and an appointment for redemption can typically be scheduled as early as the following business day.Initial Complaint

My car was recently repossessed and during it being repossessed my car was damaged. Before I could report the damage to my insurance company, take any pictures, and report it to my car company-- this towing company took my car to a shop and stated they were getting my car fixed. I did not authorize any of this and did not get any documents to support this. I was not put out of work longer without discussing this action with the company.Business Response

At the time of repossession, the vehicle was noted to have minor bumper damage. As the vehicle is the property of the finance company at the time of recovery, the incident was promptly reported to them. All repair decisions and authorizations were made by the finance company. The vehicle was repaired and released for redemption, which the debtor completed within 48 hours of the release being issued. In addition, special accommodations were made to allow the debtor to redeem the vehicle on a Saturday for their convenience.Initial Complaint

Hello,
All appointments are scheduled through our website ********************************************. The website explains step by step on how to schedule. When you call our office, it explains to go on our website to schedule an appointment. We will only make contact with the debtor after the appointment is scheduled. Ms. ******* did not schedule an appointment with us.
If there is any issues with this process, we do make contact with the finance company involved. Ms. ******* can reach out to ALS ********** and we can assist from there.
Ms. ******* does not have the required document for us to release the vehicle, this she would need to obtain from the finance company. There is no vehicle release in her account.

MADD recovery is an agent hired by my financial institution to repossess my vehicle. The financial institution has sent them a request to release my vehicle to me. Their phone number goes to a busy signal, and they require an appointment yet they have very limited hours. Their hours posted in the website compared to what is posted on their door do not correlate. I visited their location with the intention of getting my vehicle, but they refused to release it without an appointment yet another woman was able to be accommodated in getting her vehicle sooner. This company does not adhere to their own policies, and change them. They are withholding my property from me that I paid for.Business Response

My appointment was set for 12:45, all fees were paid by 12:50. They did not bring my car out until 3:30 pm. I immediately noticed damage done to my bumper and gashes on side of car. Since there was obviously damage done to my car i did not sign the release form and i asked to speak to someone regarding the damages. The guy who brought out my car told me the office closed at 2pm and told me to email ****. I emailed **** twice in two weeks with no response. I ended up getting there insurance information from a compliance officer to file a claim. During the claim process the tow company submitted altered documents that included a forged signature stating that it was my signature authorizing that there was no damage done to my vehicle. Lucky i am still in possession of the original release documents that i did not sign, and their forged signature does not match anything else that i signed from them nor does it match the signature on my ID. These people are committing crimes to increase their business. Victimizing its customers should be grounds to shut down this company. I'm open to sharing my receipts and experience to anyone wanting to hold this company responsible for their wrong doings.Business Response

The delay at the lot was due to the lenders release process. The alleged damage was pre-existing and had been documented prior to repossession. When the debtor filed an insurance claim, it was denied due to our documented evidence and video footage. The claim was closed.Initial Complaint

On June 6 , 2024 my car was repoed. Yes, it was my fault and went and paid all my fees the next day to the financial company. The letter was sent over and my car was cleared to pick up. The night they took my car the gentleman who was only doing his job let me take my things out. So now the car is completely clean of items so they needed to do is hand me my keys. The city of ******* which is a major city with 2.6 million people residing in it. You can go to the impound and maybe youre there all day and the customer service ***** but you get your car back the same day. Theirs no reason for this company to hold your car for 7 days. This is not a business this a company robbing hard working people of their money and putting them in a worst situation than before their car got taken. People need their cars to get to work take their kids to school doctors appts. If you payed the money you owed theirs no reason for this company to hold your vehicle for a minimum of 7 days. This has to be a crime but I know theirs loopholes in our system and thats why theyre getting away with it. Very frustrating!!Business Response

This company has no way to speak to a person! Only goes by appointment only to retrieve your vehicle and or your belongings. Once you go on their site there are no appointments available until at least 7 days away! How can someone keep your vehicle this long when they have all the proper documents to release it. Now they are able to charge their storage fees which is why appointments are so far out! I have never heard of not only having to make an appointment but having to wait an additional 7days when 3days have already passed, so a total of 10 days. This is just their way to get money from storing vehicle which is insane because I cant just go there and ask for it because you have to an appointment. Only voicemails when you call. Its like they dont want to speak to the customers!Business Response

There are no records indicating that the debtor was told they must wait seven days.No formal claim was filed by the debtor. Our records indicate the debtor was negotiating with the lender to bring their loan current, which delayed the release processthis was beyond our control.
