My husband and I built a home with *************** and financed our mortgage loan with DHI Mortgage. Before our first payment was due, our loan was sold to Dovenmuehle. Dovenmuehle purchased our loan without making sure that proper documents were in place pertaining to our home. They purchased our new construction home loan from DHI Mortgage without a legal certificate of occupancy in place. Nobody from Dovenmuehle made us aware of this situation. This is a legal requirement in the ************** for all new construction home loan. When I spoke to someone at their office, they told me to reach out to their "research team." Ensuring proper documents were in place prior to purchasing the loan is the sole responsibility of Dovenmuehle.

We financed our USDA mortgage through a local bank and the mortgage was $1800. EVERY YEAR I have to call because theyve miscalculated our mortgage payment. Right now its sitting at $2800 plus and I have to prepare to fight them again. WORST lending institution, if you can call it that!

WARNINGDO NOT CONDUCT BUSINESS WITH DOVENMUEHLE. They are either incompetent at best or criminally deceitful at worst. I re-financed my loan last year through Dovenmuehle. In June I provided Dovenmuehle with a Voided Check, per Dovenmuehle policy, to set up automatic mortgage payments from my checking account. In August, someone at Dovenmuehle who had access to my voided check, and my signature, created a counterfeit check, using the check number and the routing and account number directly from the voided check, and tried to replicate my signature. The check was written for several thousands of dollars, and only by sheer luck, I notice in time that someone had withdrawn funds from my checking account using this counterfeit check, notified my bank, and the were able to halt the transaction and get my funds returned. I filed a police report and tried to contact Dovenmuehle regarding this. It took me over a month of phone calls and e-mails before I received any type of response. I was told that the matter was referred to their ******************** but was refused a phone number or email address of this ******************** I provided Dovenmuehle with the Police Report Number, as well as a copy of the counterfeit check. That was 6 months ago and I have never heard back from them again. It is extremely obvious that Dovenmuehle is not diligent in safeguarding the clients financial data. To add insult to injury, I had to close that checking account and open a new one. I told Dovenmuehle that the account was closed, so dont try to withdraw automatic funds from it. I mailed them a check for Augusts payment, yet they still attempted on two occasions to withdraw my mortgage payment from an account that no longer existed, and they charged me two returned check fees because they couldnt get the fundsWTF??? AgainDovenmuehle is an incompetent organization that fails to safeguard clients personal data, and doesnt seem to care much about it.

We had BOKF, who we believed was stealing from us. Then last year, we ("refinanced") our home loan and DOVENMUEHLE MTG, has been amazing, we always who how our loan is doing, and wonderful communication from credit jnion, who uses: DOVENMUEHLE MTG, as they provider, and now my loan is being serviced the was we expect it to be. My wife and I love how this company works directly with our credit union.

They are the worst company. They paid a property tax bill that was not mine and then tried to recover it from me although I and the city tax office provided documentation to that fact with instructions on how to get a refund. They received their refund soon after requesting it, but they continued to ask me for the money anyway. They also failed to adjust my mortgage payments for the homestead and senior discounts I received that lowered my property taxes. They falsely reported to the credit bureau I was late with my payments. They actually blamed the problems on their computer system and suggested I pay the discrepancies and they would refund it to me. Repeated written complaints only resulted in form letters with a box checked saying they received my complaints, but they were never resolved. The credit union that actually owned my mortgage was no help. It took more than a year to resolve the matter, and only after my city's agency that investigates banking misconduct became involved. The credit union paid the alleged shortage in an attempt to resolve the matter and they continued to demand payment. When shopping for the best mortgage rate, please know who will be servicing your mortgage. If it is Dovenmuehle, please run fast away. I do not know how these people remain in business. First opportunity I get that is fiscally sound, I will refinance my mortgage. If I could leave zero stars, I would. Unfortunately, BBB does not allow it.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. In my opinion they are thieves. They mail out payment slips the day they are due. The customer service is the worst that I have ever experienced. I printed a payoff amount amount for my loan and paid it that day. They applied it as a payment but did not tell me that. I called the day I made the payoff and was told that it would take some time for the computer to be updated, but that it was fine. I then called a couple days after that and was told the same thing. Now they are telling me because I did it wrong I owe an additional $660 and my payment is late. I've spoken to several supervisors and reps and they all just keep saying "you did it wrong." I contacted my credit ubion and they agreed that they are just trying to get more interest out of me. If you have a choice, DO NOT USE THIS MORTGAGE COMPANY!!!!!!!

I've had to call twice to see why my mortgage was not being processed. This is the second time this has happened in a year and it's the same run around. Was told someone would contact me back in 24 hours. 72 hours later I had to call again. Can't find the second payment I made even though I have an authorization number showing it was made. Then the lady tried to tell me I sent a bad check in. ( I paid online ). After having to ask over ten times for written proof via email of my authorization numbers and verification my voided check was received, I finally got transferred to a supervisor named ******. ****** tried to argue that it was ***** hours to receive a call back. I explained that was a moot point being that it's almost 96 hours at this point. Then I asked for an email and she got hostile and kept talking over me. When I gave the same back asking if she would let me talk, she hung up. This is the worst company. Please sell my mortgage to a reputable company I never signed up for you guys in the first place.

Dovenmuehle is the worst. They stole govt ***** from my *** ***** ******** My forebearance debt was paid off by a *** ***** in August--DMI never applied the ***** to my mortgage! They tried to foreclose on **** ended up selling my home to get away from them. I cannot believe this has been going on for a year now--basically I applied for the *** ***** last March, went into loss mitigation, and had nothing but PROBLEMS from Dovenmuehle from the start. I've spent hours and hours dealing with them. When I closed on the sale of my house, I notified them that they didn't include the *** ***** ***** in the payoff quote (the payoff quote should have been MINUS the amount of the *** ***** but since these idiots and crooks kept refusing to acknowlege the ***** was paid (Which it was by WIRE!!!), the payoff quote was wrong, and I've been trying to get reimibursement ever since! That's SIX MONTHS.I've complained to CFPB, US *************** HUD, the **** the Attorney General..I'm going to have to file a lawsuit at this point to get this ***** back!

After paying our house-note with a certified bank check, and having the parent bank (Ameris) wire the funds to Dovenmuehle directly, we received a note hung on our door that we were behind on our payments by a month and now owed 2 months mortgage. We were told we had to provide proof payment, which we did only to be told we could not make further payments through the portal and had to use certified funds (keep in mind my payments were via bank checks and wire payments from the parent bank). With the support of the parent bank (the bank that hired Dovenmuehle to handle their mortgages), we attempted to understand how Dovenmuehle claimed they returned our house note payment as NSF via wire, but they couldn't tell us or the parent bank where they wired the funds. They also claimed to have wired back the exact amount for our monthly house note, which confirmed the funds were received (remember we wired certified funds) by Dovenmuehle. The worst part of this whole situation, I was notified by the credit reporting agencies today that Dovenmuehle has put a 30 day late on my credit; despite me paying my house note up until this current month. I understand system issues occur, but the customer shouldn't bear the ownership of proving themselves right, then having to a punitive negative credit action taken. I guess good old customer service has gone out the window. If we could switch to another mortgage company and keep our same rates, we would drop this company in a heartbeat.

I would give zero stars if I could. This company is scammy and just very terribly ran. You ask to talk to a manager and they never call you back. Don’t bother applying for forbearance if your house floods and your home owners insurance denies you. They will deny you. These people are crooks and are the worst. Mrs Carter is disgusting and the worst customer service rep I’ve ever had to deal with. One representative told me to sell my house. Ok. Let me sell my million dollar house that is ruined and does not even have walls due to the flood. Stay away from this company!
