I was registered as a student in Chamberlains Nurse Practitioner program and had received multiple emails from Chamberlain stating that for every person you refer to the school that inquires, you will get a $25 gift card. The only rules stated in the email was that they must have an RN license, not reside in **********, and not have inquired about the program within the prior 1 year of the referral. I referred 4 of my friends in November of 2021, all of which had not inquired about the program in the prior year (the latest inquiry was done in 2019). One of the 4 referrals actually registered for Chamberlains NP program. At first chamberlain said the gift cards would be sent out 4-6 weeks. After waiting over 6 weeks I had to call back and they kept telling me they are going to look into it and get back to me. Months passed and I never received any communication about the gift cards. About 6 months later I reach back out to them and they say that 2 of the referrals are not valid for the gift cards because according to their records they had previously inquired about the program. When I asked them for the date of inquiry, none of the dates were within one year of when I put in my referrals. They said they would escalate the situation to a higher up and get back to me. I spent the next 4 months continuously trying to get more information and updates but I would be sent to voicemail or be told "they are in a meeting" when asking to talk to someone who can help me. Finally, after over 10 months of getting the run around, I spoke with ***** who informed me that her higher **** and apparently the *** have said "the gift cards will not be sent out because they don't qualify and that legally its something they can not do". No other explanation on why they didn't qualify or what made them invalid. This is not only false advertising but its also unethical and manipulative of a school to benefit thousands of dollars from my referral yet fail to honor a $100 gift card program.

On behalf of Chamberlain University (Chamberlain), *************** to your request dated October 6, 2022, regarding Chamberlain student, **************************

**************** was last enrolled in the July 2022 session, however, she requested to withdraw with her last date of attendance for the session being July 8, 2022.  She has not been enrolled at Chamberlain since this date and has expressed that she does not intend to re-enroll.

**************** submitted four student referrals to Chamberlain for a gift card opportunity.  Unfortunately, the four student referrals did not meet the guidelines set forth in the gift card program.  However, as a gesture of service Chamberlain issued the gift card to **************** on October 17, 2022.

To whom is *** concern, My name is *************************, I was student at chamberlain, and was dismissed December 2020. After almost 2 years, I have finally found the courage to speak upon my experiences as a student. When I started the program, it was during the time COVID had just started, it was also the time I found out I was pregnant. I was 20, a single mother and no support at home on top working doubles shifts two jobs when COVID was very dangerous. One can imagine the stress, that brought. I take full responsibility of the courses I failed. I should have been more responsible. However, after re taking a class in the fall semester, I felt completely discourage, humiliated, after I was reached out by the ****************** ****, for a meeting with my science Profeesor as well, instead of the **** reaching out and see on how I could do better, or talk about the resources offered that I could use to do better. Her main concern was why I never took the time to email a person as and I Quote important as her. I was speechless, because I didnt expect this entitled behavior.I was expecting support because I was going through a hard time. Two years later and I still remember that conversation till this day. She mentioned how I would be a lazy nurse. This behavior was completely not acceptable, this is something no student should ever hear from someone who is a ****. The **** after she was done, then lastly asked the Profeesor how I was doing in class ,this to say she didnt even know about my performance in the class which was going good. At the end of the semester, my pregnancy was marked at a High-risk,with all this stress on my baby, It was to late for me to withdraw, I failed once again.Once appealing in January 2021, I was completly ignored by the advisor on how to properly appeal with no instructions,it wasnt until the second appeal in which I received instructions. My appeal was denied and I quote not sufficient evidence after showing my medical chart

      Case #: 18174974

      To whom it may concern:

On behalf of Chamberlain University (Chamberlain), I am responding to your request dated October 5, 2022, regarding Chamberlain student, ************************

************** was enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program at Chamberlains ******* campus.  She completed one course in the January 2017 session and then did not attend Chamberlain again until the May 2020 session.  She continued her enrollment until she was academically dismissed at the end of the November 2020 session.

The Chamberlain Academic Catalog explains the Standards of Academic Progress as the following:

Students must demonstrate satisfactory academic progress toward completing their degree program.  Satisfactory academic progress is evaluated at the end of each students semester and is measured by the following standards:

      Grade Point Average

Undergraduate Degree Program: In order to be in good academic standing, a student must maintain a Cumulative Grade Point Average (****) of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. If at the end of an enrolled academic semester the **** is below 2.0, the student is placed on academic and financial aid warning. If the student has a **** below 2.0 in any two enrolled semesters, the student is dismissed and is ineligible for Title IV HEA program funds.

On September 4, 2020,************** was notified by email advising that students must meet the standards of academic progress which were outlined in the academic catalog. The email went further to explain that that **************** academic progress, after the July 2020 session, indicated that she was not meeting the required ****.  As a result, the email stated that she would be placed on academic warning until she was able to re-establish satisfactory academic progress in the next term.  The email also explained that if she was unable to re-establish satisfactory academic progress she would be dismissed from Chamberlain.  Resources were provided and the student was encouraged to contact her Student Support Advisor.

At the end of the November 2020 session, ************** earned a failing grade in BIOS255, a repeated course. Due to this course failure, ************* was academically dismissed for failure to achieve a minimum **** of 2.0 or higher.

As stated in the Academic Catalog, a student who has been dismissed for failing to meet standards of academic progress may appeal the action by completing an Appeal for Reinstatement form.  ************** submitted an Appeal for Reinstatement form after being academically dismissed on January 25, 2021. In the Appeal for Reinstatement, students are asked to do the following:

Before allowing you to be reinstated, Chamberlain requires confirmation that you have adequately identified and resolved the issues that caused your poor academic performance. Provide an overview of how your circumstances have changed or will be different if you are reinstated and permitted to continue your coursework. You must provide a detailed plan of action, clearly explaining the steps you will take to ensure success. These steps must meet the conditions for reinstatement.

************** provided a response and medical records with her appeal.  ********************* reviewed and denied *************** appeal on January 28, 2021, on the basis that the students plan for academic success did not demonstrate significant indication that the standards of academic progress would be met in the future.

Per the appeal for reinstatement process, ************** was able to Appeal for Reinstatement Decision.  She completed the Appeal for Reinstatement Decision on February 9, 2021.  ************** provided her response and supporting documentation. The Campus President denied the appeal on February 9, 2021.  The basis of the denial was that the rationale and/or supporting documentation did not substantiate a change to the original denied decision.

After reviewing **************** complaint, we have found the Appeal for Reinstatement process was completed correctly per policy. She was given her due process and opportunity to provide her response and supporting documentation on the matter. This is a Chamberlain academic process and, as such Chamberlain considers this matter to be closed.

      Best Regards,

On august 22nd 2022, I contacted my professor prior to the start of the new session about missing the first day of class due to a prior obligation. After a few days of emailing back and forth; she told me there are things that need to be done in order for me to makeup any missing assignments ( specifically asked will this be something that will prevent me from moving forward in this class; nothing was said. So, she directed me to reach out to the campus president. I reached out to the Campus President *** email on August 29th (2 days prior to the session) and I explained to her my situation and asked her the same question. Is this something that will hinder me from continuing on in this class. Again, nothing was said. Instead I was sent learning contracts to sign for approval to makeup assignments. So, I did that. Now, here we are the second we of class and I am being withdrawn from the class due to me missing the first class. Not to mention one of the assignments which was a simulation lab was added last minute (days before) the start of class. Being withdrawn from this class puts me in a bad spot because now I am having to wait till january when the class is offered again in order to retake it. This pushes my original december graduation date back to march-april time frame. This is preventing me from accepting job offers that I have lined up. Their excuse was a wedding is not an extenuating circumstance. No where in their student hand book does it state such a thing. I have emailed so many staff and called a few people and no one seems to have the time to talk to me in person. It is unfair to students who have had to be "understanding" and "flexible" whenever the campus through anything new at us but they can't seem to show us the same respect. I am veteran who gets my school paid for and gets paid to attend school. So not having a class to attend takes away from my household income. I need help because I am drowning with anxiety and depression over this.

      Case #: 18003914

      To whom it may concern:

On behalf of Chamberlain University (Chamberlain), I am responding to your request dated September 9, 2022, regarding Chamberlain applicant, *****************************.   ***************** is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program at the *********, ** campus.

****************** was enrolled in NR446 for the September 2022 session, which began on August 22, 2022.  NR446 is a clinical course that requires students to complete a medication calculation exam. Page 183 of the Academic Catalog explains the following regarding the medication calculation exam:

Each BSN clinical course has a required medication calculation exam, which students must pass in order to successfully pass each course.Students may not administer medications in the clinical setting prior to passing the medication calculation exam for the course. Passing score criteria is listed in each course. Students have three attempts to achieve the passing score by the end of Week 2 of the session. The score on the first attempt only is worth two percent of the final course grade. Scores obtained on subsequent exams are not used in the calculation of the final grade. A student who does not pass the medication calculation exam on the third attempt by the end of Week 2 of the session will be administratively withdrawn and awarded a grade of Withdrawal Failing ("WF").

Prior to the beginning of the September session, ****************** notified her NR446 professor that she would not be able to attend the medication calculation exam. Per policy, the professor advised ****************** that she would need to complete an Appeal of Academic Decision, specifically a make-up exam appeal. The make-up exam appeal is available to provide students an opportunity to make-up an examination missed due to extenuating circumstances in any NR course. ****************** submitted the appeal, and it was denied due to her reason (a wedding) for missing the exam was not considered an extenuating circumstance.

****************** attempted the medication calculation exam on September 7, 2022, and earned an unsatisfactory score of 19. ****************** was not withdrawn from NR446 at this time, as she had one additional opportunity to take the medication calculation exam.

The ******* Campus President spoke with ****************** on September 13, 2022, regarding the examination and her status in the course. During this conversation ****************** stated that she would like to stay in the course and understood the challenge of catching up.  ****************** again attempted the medication calculation exam on September 14, 2022, and earned an unsatisfactory score of 19.

Because ****************** did not pass the medication examination on three attempts she was, per policy, administratively withdrawn from NR446. Specifically, her first attempt of the exam as denied due to her reasoning for missing the exam not being extenuating circumstances, and she did not receive a passing score on her second and third attempts.  Ms.  ******* will need to retake NR446 in her future enrollment.

I never attended Chamberlain university. I unenrolled and contacted my student advisors and many people over the phone and they tried giving me the Tun around when I was trying to unenroll before the semester started so I wouldnt get charged. They refunded my tuition and unenrolled me. A few weeks after I dropped out They decided to charge me a student recovery tuition fee of $240. I read its normal for ********** private schools to do thatbut I never attended a class, I unenrolled before the semester started; therefore, I was never a student. Im trying to contact them to remove this charge but again theyre avoiding responding to my emails for phone calls. Theyre scamming me.

On behalf of Chamberlain University (Chamberlain), I am responding to your request dated September 7, 2022, regarding Chamberlain applicant, **************************************  ********************* applied to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program in the September 2022 session at the Chamberlain *********, ********** campus.

The ******************* established the Student ********************* (****) to support students who may be impacted by a school closure or discontinuation of an educational program offered by an institution.  ******** is administered by the ***************** of ******************************* (****).  In early 2022, the **** issued an update that impacted all new, readmit, and transfer students at Chamberlains ********** campuses, who had signed an enrollment agreement on or after April 1, 2022.  The **** increased the **** assessment rate, which mandated that all institutions regulated by the **** collect **** assessments directly from the student.
