They reached out to me in July of 2024 about a lawsuit against ******* the music listening app. I signed the paperwork in January 2025. I reached out to them and received a response only once in regards to what was going on with the case in which i was told they were still working on it. I have reached out several times since then and nobody has answered a single phone call i have left voicemails and have not received any calls back. They have extremely poor communication. They kept communication up until the point that i signed the documents and after they were signed its like they dropped off of the planet.Business Response

Keller Postman has secured settlement offers from manufacturers and distributors of the drug ****** (**********). The initial settlement was from ****** and it was distributed to the clients in October 2024. Unfortunately, ** has hidden behind a 3rd party lien resolution company- Ziplien, and after 11 months has not released the settlement monies to the injured parties. They claim that Ziplien is trying to assure the release of the money is completed only after due diligence regarding clients owing ******** or ********. When asked where the money is being held and at what accrued interest rate, they do not directly say. When asked, if due to the delay clients will be compensated with the amount of the settlement plus any interest or dividends earned during the time of their investigation, they do not reply. I know that the money is earning while we are waiting for distribution. ** is taking the time and playing the "Float" to retain all the money earned during the "time of determination of the lien resolution." Nobody is stupid! Additionally, when asked if: "Since this lien research is being done now, if it will require it to be repeated when the other defendants settle, ( and *** has already settled for $2.2 billion) they have slippery non ethical replies.I have been a party to this litigation for 6 years. Now, when the big pharma companies are settling it is the Lawyers we are supposed to trust that are taking advantage and ripping us off! Where are the funds being held? What is the rate of return? How much will each if the litigants be compensated for the delay from the investment proceeds? Why should we have to duplicate this process since it is being done? Who approved using Ziplien?Who do they think they are fooling?I want my money! I was the one injured , I had to go through having cancer. Why can't I get my settlement money?Business Response

We appreciate Mr. ****** continued engagement and understand his desire for timely payment. Keller Postman has secured settlement offers from multiple ****** defendants on Mr. ****** behalf, and an initial partial payment from one settlement has already been issued. The remainder is being held in a qualified settlement fund and is subject to federally mandated lien resolution processes.
In cases involving ********* we are legally required to verify and resolve any potential government healthcare liens before distributing the full settlement amount. This is not a firm-specific policy, but a requirement under federal law and the terms of the settlement agreement. Our lien resolution vendor, Zipliens, is working with ******** to negotiate a global resolution across multiple cases, a process that often results in better outcomes for clients but does take time, especially given current government processing backlogs.
Interest is accruing on settlement funds while held, and clients will receive a proportional interest payment once distributions are finalized. We are not permitted to disclose individual financial institution details through this forum, but we can confirm that the funds are safeguarded in accordance with settlement requirements. We understand the frustration associated with delays and are committed to transparency and client communication throughout this process. Our team remains available to answer questions and will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available. If Mr. ***** has additional concerns, we welcome him to contact us directly at ***********************************Initial Complaint

My dates of my ****** use have changed by my attorneys. My ****** use began with my diagnosis of Hep-C in or around the year 2000..I sent in signed wittness statements verifying this fact. They claim they dont have them. Then they produce an E signed document that i never signed stating my ****** use started in 2011...Totally FALSE...They promised time after time to straighten this matter out but done nothing.. Settlement offers are unfair..Once they received settlement offers from the pharmicutical companies...These problems all of a sudden arose.. Please help me with their unfair practices...As a veteran I feel ashamed !Business Response

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We understand how important this matter is to you and appreciate the opportunity to respond. Mr. ***** was referred to Keller Postman by another law firm after completing a sworn filing called the Census Plus Form, in which he certified under penalty of perjury that his ****** use began in 2011 and ended in 2018. These dates were used to generate his settlement documents, and Mr. ***** signed those documents with the same certified dates in September 2024. At no point prior to signing did Mr. ***** notify our firm that the dates were inaccurate.
After receiving his ****** settlement offer, Mr. ***** began expressing concerns about the ****** use dates. However, due to the prior sworn filings and signed documentation, those dates could not be changed. Our team reviewed the case thoroughly and communicated this multiple times, along with an explanation of why his settlement offer from ****** was limited to an innovator liability payment. Mr. ***** was also informed that, based on the certified dates, he did not qualify for the *** settlement program.
We understand Mr. ***** is disappointed in the outcome, but the ****** settlement programs are governed by strict documentation and eligibility rules, and we are obligated to follow them. We remain committed to treating every client with professionalism and transparency and encourage Mr. ***** to reach out directly if he has further questions.Initial Complaint

We understand Ms. ******** frustration and appreciate the opportunity to respond. Ms. ******* was offered and accepted a settlement as part of the ****** resolution program. In accordance with the terms of the settlement agreement and federal law, we are required to verify and resolve any medical liens before distributing the full settlement amount. This includes liens asserted by ******** and ********* which must be processed and reviewed before any remaining funds can be released.
To avoid delaying all payments, we began issuing initial payments while holding back a portion of the funds in cases where liens may apply. Ms. ******** initial payment was issued as part of this process, and she was provided with her disbursement packet, which included an explanation of deductions, a breakdown of withholdings, and her signed acknowledgment. We have made multiple efforts to explain the lien resolution process and respond to her concerns. We remain available to speak with Ms. ******* should she have further questions, and we are committed to ensuring that any remaining funds are disbursed as soon as the lien process is complete.Initial Complaint

I am rejecting this response because:The documents that the company provided do not obtain my signature. I never agreed to the payment of these fees.
I have asked the legal firm repeatedly for their attorney numbers and they have refused to give them. The firm also failed to relinquish any case file pertaining to the work they claim to have done in this false litigation. I am also concerned for other veterans that this may be happening, to who are being cut short of expenses by **, for hearing damage caused by ear protection they knew was causing damage to ears. I am also planning to use the freedom of information act in junction with a veteran service officer, so we can find the other veterans this company has represented and write what has been wronged.
No funds are accepted by the company for litigation against ***
Ligation will be continued dependently.

We understand that Mr. ***** continues to have concerns and appreciate the opportunity to respond. Our records show that Mr. ***** signed and submitted the relevant engagement documents, including his authorization for co-counsel involvement, through a verified DocuSign link associated with his email. We have provided him with copies of these documents and remain available to discuss any questions he may have. To date, he has declined offers to speak with our team by phone. I am rejecting this response because:Note: title of complaint was meant to say "unsatisfied" instead of "satisfied".
I recall at one point in time the law firm wanted to convince me to accept the lowest possible settlement price, but I wasn't fully in favor of it. When I asked why they recommended this they said based on my case it would have been the best choice. You can see in the paperwork they provided that the signatures they provided do not match mine.
When I was presented by the firm with their invoice I was confused about everything on it.
I should be noted when I asked the firm to provide my case file, they failed to do so and said that I did not have a case file. This would indicate that the could not have possibly assessed my position correctly and given the proper legal guidance to accept the lowest settlement outcome.
So in this argument, not only do we see that there is a mismatch in signatures but also that I did not meet with this firm in person ever and that they never had a Case file to represent me to begin with. This is unethical and if they're doing it to me they're doing it to other people.
They have yet to send me any attorney numbers. I don't even think they are attorneys.
Sincerely,
***** *****Business Response

Our records reflect that Mr. ***** electronically signed the relevant engagement documents through a verified and secure DocuSign process associated with his email. We have made multiple efforts to contact Mr. ***** by phone and email to address his concerns, but he has declined to communicate with us directly and requested that all responses be made through the BBB.
We have provided Mr. ***** with his case materials, including documentation related to his representation and settlement. If there is any additional information he believes is missing, we encourage him to reach out to us.
Keller Postman is a licensed law firm, and our attorneys are in good standing with the appropriate bar associations. We reviewed Ms.************** ********* and understand her concerns. Our records show that we submitted her claim to the Navy under the Camp ******* Justice Act, and that claim is currently pending.
The government is currently offering settlements to only a very narrow group of Camp ******* Justice Act claimants. To be eligible for a settlement offer under the current guidelines, claimants must meet specific criteria related to the duration and timing of their exposure on base and the nature of their medical diagnosis. Based on the information Ms. ************ has given us, her claim is not eligible for a settlement offer under the current guidelines.
We understand this is frustrating for her, as it is for many claimants, but it is the result of a unilateral decision made by the federal governmentnot any action Keller Postman did or did not take. Her claim remains open and very well may be eligible for settlement at a later date.
Our team remains available to speak with Ms. ************ to review her case in more detail and answer any questions she may have. One of our attorneys attempted to reach her by phone and left a voicemail. We encourage her to return the call so we can further assist.

We investigated Ms. ******* complaint and confirmed that she selected ****** as her method of payment for the BuzzFeed settlement. According to the settlement administrator, a payment of $80.65 was issued on August 30, 2024, and marked as completed. After Ms. ****** contacted us to report that she had not received the funds, we provided her with the payment confirmation and discussed the issue with her directly. Ms. ****** indicated that ****** flagged the transaction and, as a result, she never received the funds. We are currently working with the settlement administrator to confirm whether the payment was returned and if a paper check was subsequently issued. The law firm took out their fees without disclosing at the beginning of agreement. I get a 1099 owing for their portion of taxes, meaning that they are not paying any tax on my case and I am this was never told to me.Business Response
Date: 02/12/2025
We appreciate the opportunity to address this clients concerns. When the client retained our firm to pursue her claims, she signed a retention agreement that explained our fees in detail. However, when this claim reached settlement, we significantly discounted our fee so that our client could put more money in her pocket. The exact breakdown of our fees, the costs, and the net amount to the client was disclosed to the client in the settlement release she signed. Under the law, the settlement administrator is required to issue a 1099 with the gross settlement amount, before the deduction of costs and fees. Keller Postman pays taxes in accordance with the law. We are not a tax firm, and we encourage our clients to discuss their potential tax liability with a tax professional.Initial Complaint
