On 2/24/25, I started making payments of $167.43 every 2 weeks to Beyond Finance for debt consolidation. This company charged twice on3/4 and 3/7 $9.75 for a monthly fee. I never received a credit for being charged twice in one month. On 5/30, I was charged a 25% settlement fee of $717.69 to Beyond Finance for negotiating my Discover Card debt. Beyond Finance charged me five times $49.11 for another settlement fee after I already paid them their 25%. Discover only received $552 from February through July. Those fees do not match, and I was deceived by them paying my debt back.On 7/18/25, I sent a formal letter canceling my account due to deceptive practices and withdrawing money out of my account without proper authorization. On 7/14 $107 was taken out without my consent. Then on 7/16 the regular scheduled payment was withdrawn. Never in the agreement would money be taken on non-scheduled ******* the agreement if you close your account, your money will be returned. On 7/18 no more payments would be made to Discover or Beyond Finance. I spoke with an agent, and I asked for the $443 in my account to be returned. I asked for the $107 that was taken without my consent to be returned. They immediately locked me out of the app and online banking with Beyond Finance. On 7/23/25, Beyond Finance made 5 transactions and called them settlement fees that took my account to $0. This is theft!! I want them to honor my signed agreement and their verbal agreement of returning everything that was falsely taken. They had already taken $700 as a settlement fee in May. The additional settlement fees broke the agreement of 25%. I would also like the May settlement fee recalculated to match the $552 that Discover received. I paid Beyond Finance $2107.73 and Discover only received $552. That is deceptive practices and criminal.

Ms. ************************ you for the opportunity to address your concerns.

At the time of your requested termination you had approved an offer on one of your enrolled accounts.  This resolution was in progress.

We confirmed that there was no overpayment of fee related to the authorized resolution on your Discover account.  At the time of your termination you still had a remaining amount owed toward that fee.

Review of your enrollment interaction confirmed that you were properly educated about the program fee, including how and when the fee is earned and collected.  All fees collected were done so in accordance with all established expectations.

      Sincerely,
      Beyond Finance, LLC

      Complaint: 23656828

I am rejecting this response because: I was not fully informed about the fees. I would have never enrolled in the program had there been a detailed conversation about the fees.

The agent talked about all the benefits of program for two hours. There was no conversation about how I would be scammed out of hard earned money. 25% was discussed but it was not for the overall debt. I was told it was on what I would be paying back.

The agent informed me I could quit the program at any time and be reimbursed what was in my dedicated account. I asked him if I would get my money back and he stated yes.

I spoke with an agent in July, that stated I would recieve my money back for the last transaction of $443 plus the $107 that was illegally taken out my account. The amount of fees taken out of that canceled transaction does not add up to what was originally discussed. No one said I would be charged for my total debt only the negotiated amount. There was no discussion of monthly bank fees. I was charged two times in March 3 days apart.

I was taken advantage of and scammed out of money. The agents talk very fast to make you comfortable and NEVER discuss the downside of hidden fees. When I was signing online forms, the agent kept excessively talking making it impossible to fully read the documents. This is a trick that was used on lots of clients.

I want my money returned that 2 agents said would be returned. The dedicated account had $443 left. Beyond Finance took $2105 and only paid $552. This company is a scam and the agents are not truthful to clients.

      Sincerely,

      Ms. *****,

Thank you for the continued opportunity to assist.

Review of your enrollment interactions confirmed that you were informed both verbally and in writing about all fees related to the program.  You can reference these in your copy of your enrollment agreement in paragraph 11. (a) and in your program snapshot.

Proper expectations were set regarding your ability to terminate the program at any time, which was honored.  As referenced in your enrollment agreement you are due back any funds minus earned fees.

All fees were earned appropriately and proper expectations were established.

      Complaint: 23656828

I am rejecting this response because:

Everything was not handled appropriately.  I contacted the *** about your fraudulent business and discovered something very concerning. In my dedicated account on the ********************** app, it stated that Discover recieved $992. On the CFTPay itemized statement it states $552. The fees are hidden on the app and disguised as payments to the creditors. The monthly bank fees are not on that app as well and they said that is fraudulent if it's not listed. The unaccounted $500 was bank fees and a settlement payment for your company not my creditors.

Verbal agreements are also legal especially if there are recordings of 2 agents stating I would get money from my dedicated account returned without mentioning the deducting fees. You should tell your agents to tell the entire truth to the customers.

In July, I had a conversation about when I added up all my payments and my dedicated account was missing over $500 that was not accounted for. We did the math together and I was right but your agent became very agitated because I questioned the app. That call was recorded and I have that recording.  She even told me in that call she was sending an email about my concerns and that i would recieve the $443. We also spoke on the $107 that was fraudulently taken out of my account without my authorization plus the multiple monthly bank fees from March that was 3 days apart.

I have been very patient with your company but you refuse to investigate and return my money as verbally stated. The *** and the Governor of North Carolina saw my statements and heard voice recordings and want to work with me. A lawyer said the exact same thing. We cannot all be wrong. You advertise that you reach out to creditors and i have the list that you said you made contact with. The lawyer called every creditor and spoke with multiple agents and no contact was ever made. We have the recordings of those calls and the collection departments had nothing. The *** said you did that to further decieve me and continue taking my money.

I see your company is fine with deceiving hard working people. I would've stayed quiet had multiple agents not told me consistent lies. Now I will let other consumers know about your company on local and ***********. I will use every blog to show my proof and warn them to not join your program and for others to terminate their contracts immediately. Thank you for the weeks of running around and lack of concern after I had to cancel my deceitful agreement.

      Sincerely,

      ****** *****

I have been in business with Beyond Finance for ********************* Aug 2024. The agreement was $2,859/mo. for 60 months to take of $231,000 of credit card debt. At month 9, Beyond increased my payment to $3,268. At the one-year point (Jul 2025), they had only taken care of 5 of the 8 credit cards. Fearing that my cost would go up again and my dissatisfaction of my rate going up, I fired them on Jul-7 and went with someone else. At the time, there was $13,131 in my escrow account. I was told that there would still be fees but that they might be about $7,000. The account was officially closed on Jul-11 and I expected some money back in 7 days or Jul-22. Instead, they charged fees such that all of the money was taken and I got $0. I didn't know this until I called them on Jul-22. They took out a $3,268 charge from me on Jul-7. So I want the entire $13,131 back. ***, they are not entitled to so much fee money when they didn't perform as expected. Furthermore, I told one of the **** that I needed the money for medical expenses, but they didn't care. They had to have their fees paid, no matter what. Please help. I need this in a timely manner.

      Mr. ********,

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns.

At the time of your requested termination you had approved offers on five of your enrolled accounts.  Of these, all were in progress. You approved your first resolutions four months into your program, in alignment with all expectations.  You were progressing successfully throughout the program.

Review confirmed that at the time of your enrollment you were transparently informed about the program fee, including how and when it is earned and collected.  All fees were earned and collected in accordance with those established expectations.

You were presented with a conditional offer that required additional funds to move forward with, however you were not required to accept this offer.  The decision to do so and increase your payment amount was yours.  Review determined that no guarantee of a specific refund amount was provided.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

      Sincerely,
      Beyond Finance, LLC

This company's sales **** hailed their company as this super amazing and altruistic company with an all-star negotiations team. They really sold me hard and haven't delivered. Instead, they were extra sneaky and made every effort to gloss over the ridiculously high commission they charge (25%) while continuously selling me on how amazing they are, and they almost always get 40-50% negotiated. The reality is they usually get about 75% which when you add their 25% commission is zero help. They are really good at getting themselves paid while selling you on we did the best we could, but you should take this offer. Then the more difficult ones or if you push back just a little like not accepting the offer, they will attempt to scare you about legal action without offering any real information about the law firm or legal action. The ethics and morals of this company are beyond garbage.

Thank you for the opportunity to resolve your concerns.

At this time you are active in the program and have approved offers on all three of your enrolled accounts.  Of which, one is completed and two are in progress. You approved your first offer six months into your enrollment, in alignment with all expectations.

Review of your enrollment interaction confirmed that you were transparently educated about the program fee.  This information can also be located in writing in your enrollment agreement in paragraph 11. (a) Program fees.  Additionally, all expectations about resolution amounts were provided as estimated and no guarantees were made.

Your program has been serviced successfully and within all established expectations.

I am rejecting this response because: nothing you've stated resolves your bait and switch practices nor your high pressure / threat of legal action techniques.  I "approved" the three because I really wasn't given any choice. You push your scare tactics and threat of legal action techniques, what do you expect. This aren't even close to honest business practices. You weren't even able to furnish information on the negotiations, what progress has been made etc. I am not even convinced you have a "negotiations" department because you can't even connect with them directly. This feels like nothing more than a scam. The over inflated abilities that were sold to me haven't even come close to meeting expectations and in the end you simply default to a basic "well we tried" response? Furthermore, when asked for any leniency with your fees considering you haven't lived up to the oversold abilities, you simply said no, there is nothing that can be done. So you oversell your abilities and arguably non-existent negotiations department, over sell and promise results and then when you don't even come close to living up to a shred of that, you still are taking the same in fees. This is beyond unacceptable.

      Sincerely,

****** to new customers that the first six to seven payments will be paid to Beyond Finance. They are not a free company and give themselves 12% of the total debt owed. I was surprised when I looked at my statement after six months and the valence was zero. Upon phone interview and the many pages of documents that came via DocuSign I was not specifically told that they would take almost $900 dollars in there fees. This was before they paid one cent to any of the companies I owed. $900 is a lot of money and could have paid off at least two of my past debts. The agent on the phone never told me about this charge. Also I discontinued one of my debts and they did not adjust the payment they took. How you going to help people and charge them $900 before you settled even one debt. This is the second complaint that Ive written. Yet it says they have none under complaints. Something is wrong.

Review determined that you were properly educated about the program fee, including how and when it is earned and collected at the time of your enrollment.  You can reference paragraph 11. (a) for details.

At no point during your enrollment did Beyond Finance earn any fee up front or prior to a resolution being approved and, at minimum, at least one payment to the creditor.  All of your fees have been earned and collected appropriately.

I began services with this company on 9/26/2024. I was told that they would work with my creditors to negotiate to get my debt reduced and paid off. I gave them all of the information for my creditors and was told to have debt collection calls sent to their number and they would handle everything. I was notified that they had reached an agreement with one of the creditors (there were 4 total) and I agreed to the solution that was offered. I had paid $212, and some change every 2 weeks since 9/26/24. A couple of weeks ago I was served a summons from one of the creditors, as they were suing me. Apparently, Beyond Finance had not been in contact with them at all. Not even to let them know that I was working with them to try to resolve things. I have paid a total of $4670 to Beyond finance. They have paid only $1550 towards my debt. They have changed me $2633.77 in "Settlement fees" and $260.70 in monthly fees. As of this date, only one settlement was developed and in process of being paid. They have done nothing with the other creditors. How can I be changed for all of these settlement fees when there are no settlements. Why has only $1550 been paid towards my debt? When I canceled their services, I had over $800 in my "dedicated account". They kept that as part of the $2633 in settlement fees. This is a complete scheme. They were supposed to be handling this, yet I end up getting a summons and being sued. They offered to have their legal team represent me in court. However, I do not think it should have gotten this far. They should have handled it much sooner. In addition to the debt, now I have $1750 additional for attorney fees from the creditor.

I hired Beyond Finance to help me with debt settlement. Beyond Finance originally encouraged me to cease making payments to my three creditors and offered a smaller, more manageable payment plan. I would pay a manageable biweekly payment to Beyond Finance, and Beyond Finance would deal with my original creditors. The first individual I spoke with told me that they would reach out to my creditors and have "deals" for the remaining balances agreed upon within three to four months. It took 3 years, and my credit took a hit the entire time. Despite taking years instead of months, all was well. I was making a bi-weekly payment that I could manage until a few months ago, when one of the original creditors started sending me letters regarding legal action, and I began receiving nonstop letters and phone calls from the original creditor stating that they were going to take me to court. When this happened, Beyond Finance then asked me to sign a new contract with ever-increasing payments, which I signed under duress. The new payments they are asking me to pay are going to continuously increase, and I will not be able to make them once they get too high. I believe Beyond Finance should be held responsible for their false advertisement and lies. They should be required to reach an agreement with the aforementioned creditor, and if needed, they should take on the debt themselves and allow me to make my original payment amount. I am more than willing to make the original payment amount bi-weekly until the debt is resolved. If need be, I can begin to gather records of conversations that I had with the original representative for Beyond Finance.

      Mr.  Cintas,

Thank you for the opportunity to resolve your concerns.

Currently you are active in the program and have authorized resolution offers on all three of your enrolled accounts.  Of which, two have been completed and one is in progress. You are progressing successfully through the program.

Review of your enrollment interaction confirmed that you were informed you could expect to see your first resolutions within the first three to six months, however no guarantee was made.  The program is designed to care for all enrolled debt, including related program fees, throughout the duration of the program term.  Additionally, you were also educated about the possibility of creditor litigation.

You were presented with a conditional offer that you elected to approve and move forward with.  At no time were you required to accept this offer.  Throughout your enrollment process, it is clearly established that the figures for monthly deposit amount are estimates.
