      I had an Avant credit card for over a year. My last purchase was in November 2024. On April 11, 2025, I decided to pay off my balance and close the account to reduce my debt. I called Avant credit customer service on April 24, advising that I had paid the current balance and needed to close my account, was there anything else I should know or was my account at zero. The service representative stated that I needed to do nothing more, but if I decided to reopen my account to call within 30 days. However, today, July 27, while checking my credit report there was an alert of late payment from Avant. I contacted Avant to check why and even though I spoke with a supervisor he couldn't waive the 6.54 interest that they said accumulated beyond the current balance. Why didn't the person I contacted while closing the account, didn't explain that maybe I should check back the next month after I paid the total balance just in case. And why would they not waive that being that they don't train their customer service staff better! I have never been late with them and was a good customer. I can't recommend ********************** as a good credit company being they don't understand basic customer service 101.

      I've had my Avant account for almost a year. It has never worked. I've never been able to use my card. I activated the first card probably 10 times and it never worked. Then I call and they say I didn't activate it in time, so I need a new card. Then it gets locked out and they tell me my account is under review, and it can take 2 months. Couldn't tell my why it's under review or what it's under review for just that I need to provide a BUNCH of personal information. U have everything u need including my social. Get out of here and quit s******* folks around.

      I've had a card for a few years but *** recently decided to begin using it. I moved to a new state and requested a new card to be mailed since the last card expired. It took almost 3 months for me to finally get a card. I wanted to use the card to pay my rent and it declined. I got a text to confirm the transaction, which I did but the card declined again. I called in about and a *** told me they could release the fraud alert. Then they said they could not. That I had to email a copy of my license to verify my identity. I asked if the email could be checked while I was on the phone with the ***, he said yes. He confirmed receipt of my license and said he submitted the request to release the hold but that it can take 2 business days. I said that was unacceptable and requested a manager. He said that a manager would only ***eat what he said to me and that no manager was available but that one could call me back. I asked to be transferred to a managers voicemail instead. He said there were no voicemails to be transferred to. ******** customer service.

      I had this account for 2 months now and they lost my payment and today they have not found my payment, but they called me about 10 times and put me on hold about 10 times and they still have not found my payment, but they have added late fee, and they have not called me yet to let me know if they have found my payment . They just call me to let me know that I have not made payment. Now I have all these late fees and stating that I have not made payment. I have emailed my money order over to them about 3 times and I still have not heard ************ I'm going to make a payment, and I will be mailing a money order again next week.

      This credit card company Avant the are big scams and fraud I call the and I want to speak to somebody, I bout $59:38 charger on 06/24/25 i call the send day they showed in my statement the funny part one payment was decline second payment went through when I cancel the card the same day was Sunday 6/24/25 $ two chargers $59:30 the second$59:38 my statement show July 1 2025 my balance was 258.75 I make at payment on 6/30/25 for $50.00 I call today 7/1/25 my balance now $277.78 what's going on I call 4 time and I have to speak to our supervisor they say they was busy ....big scams when refinance my home. I will close this credit card big scams and fraud I follow complain with better business Bureau federal trade commission attorneys General office.

      When i first opened acct. I didn't receive my card but they continued to demand monthly payment ,i advised them i didn't have card finally after 3 months. Then i finally use the card as a gas card and paid it weekly. And they haven't credited my account . I have been going on with this issue for 3 months now I call . I was told i already called in and filed fraudulent purchases and i already req a new card Neither of these was correct i advised them not to give my info out or anyone nor to discuss my account with anyone other than myself. . Customer service told me i used the credit up. And yes but the bill was paid weekly not monthly. They refuse to let me escalate to a manager or supervisor. This is a terrible company customer service is quick to have smart Mouths , unprofessional , gives the run around. Now I owe a balance that was already paid for .

      I believe they practice predatory lending, I never once missed a payment with them.
      They added a monthly fee due to my credit score dropping, even though I never missed a payment with them.
      Once I stopped spending so much on the card they added the fee to increase revenue for the business. I find this predatory, and my rights are being violated.
      I do not not recommend this company.

      Very poor service I never use the card the desk clerk told me my last 4 wasn't right I told her I never use the card they are trying to send me a bill for 60 bucks. o July 19 2025 card was never turn on I told the clerk I don't want the card it was never turn on she try to convince me that the start up feed I stated I don't want the card kept me on hold waiting on he supervisor I was told I get a call back in 2 hours they said they want do a hard credit check they lied DO NOT USED THIS CARD THEY ARE VERY UNTRUEFUL THEY FEED OFF THE POOR WHO ARE TRYING YO GET A FRESH START.

      I currently paid my card off on June 24, 2025, balance was ******. I thought I was done, but for some reason I am still a have fees. Now I have a ***** balance applied. Keep in mind I closed the card on 3/25/25. What more outstanding fee do I owe? Cannot get a straight answer, accept the last email saying you will be responsible for paying outstanding fee, then you are paid off. What a joke! Please do not apply for a loan or obtain credit with them. **************** regarding email correspondence was rude and dismissive.

      I had questions regarding my account. I asked to speak with a supervisor, the two phone specialist I spoke with were very rude and left me on hold until the phone hung up. VERY RUDE!!!
