The account at issue was assigned by our client, the **************************** Services,on July 1, 2024, in the name of ****, *******. On July 2, 2024, a notice was mailed at the last known address of the consumer.
We received a dispute through the credit reporting system regarding identity fraud. As a result, we mailed the fraud package to the last known mailing address of the consumer.
Upon receipt of the BBB complaint, we have placed the account on hold and have submitted the account for credit deletion.
Furthermore,we have requested an itemized statement from our client, which will be sent to the consumers postal address as soon as we receive it from our client.

I received a letter today (dated Sep 11) claiming a debt. This debt was settled from taxes. Even if it wasnt the amount of fees theyre trying to up charge for is outrageous. Apparently hard getting a hold of anyone to discuss as well.Business Response

I noticed an account opened on my credit report in the amount of $668 from the company and so I called to get information on what company was seeking payment, the person(****) said that i needed to give them my credit/debit card information and pay $1 so he could look up my scores and give me the information requested. All I wanted was the company name so I could somehow settle the charge against me and insisted that I give my information.Business Response

I Contacted IL Department of human services to notify them that an account appeared on my credit report that does not belong to me. I have no affiliation with this company and or account. The account is listed on my credit report as "HARVARD COLLECTION SERVICES" The original creditor name is "IL DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES"The account balance is listed for $1,344, and is currently placed for collections. I am writing this letter to file a complaint against Harvard Collection Company. This company have falsely file a collection on my credit report. I do not owe this company any money. I have not lived in the state ******** since 1994. This claim goes back 30yrs, there is no documentation or account number to support that I owe this company anything. There has not been anything in writing to support this collection. I will request that you please clear this false collection of my credit with all three credit bureau Transunion , Equifax, Experian.
