I was rear ended sometime on June 20th. I called this ***** *** company to report it to them so I can get my car fixed and the medical bills from my check up paid. I was not at fault at all for the accident as written in the police report only for some idiot to sit on the phone and have the audacity to leave a voicemail stating that they can’t find money to fix my car and to go through my insurance. That’s a bs tactic to not be financially responsible and only be in contact with the insurance company. I refuse to go through my insurance and raise my policy because I wasn’t at fault for the accident. I was bounced around from agent to agent cause no one wanted to do their job. Hi, I don't think this specific situation has anything to do with me or my client(s) personally. COUNTRY is a large company and I get a lot of contacts from people all over the US looking for COUNTRY Home Office. I advertise a lot so when people Google "COUNTRY Financial Bloomington" my name usually floods to the top. How do I verify this is specifically for me and not a general complaint to COUNTRY? I'd need to know who the COUNTRY insured is that hit this person, a claim number, etc. to do any digging whatsoever. If not me I need this removed from my individual profile immediately. On December 8/22 a driver hit me at an intersection I was not at fault and the other driver assumed full responsibility for the accident. His insurance company is ******* ********* as indicated and the adjuster I was connected to is ****** ***** **************. I have had my auto at a body shop and I have made multiple phone calls to her and left multiple voicemails and received no response after the initial call. I called 4 time yesterday and the representatives now act like they cant hear me and hang up on me. I just had the body shop call me to pick up my car because she is not working with them they emailed her on Thursday December 15th at 9:00 am no response. I do not know what to do now they only rented a car for me until December 16th and I am unable to get my car repaired or pick it up from the shop.Business Response

We been doing busines with Country Financials sice 2012, At the beging of this year in january 2022 my husband contacted our Agent ****** ***** to let him know that we found a better rate in our home insurance ant to tell him to cancell our home insurance with Country Financial. At beging of November 2022 we get our home escrow ant it was quite high, when I contacted the banck to find out why it was high they sad because they had to pay two home insurance in the year. I contacted Country Financial costumer cervice phone number and the person I talk to sad that my Agent will call me to back up the cancelation and reinburst my money. The Agen did not call so I call him and he sad that the insurance was not cancell becaused we never call back to confirm the cancelation and that they can only back up the cancelation 14 days. I talk and email several people trought the costumer cervice number with no succes and every person I have talked tell me different tings and at some point they stop aswering my emails. They ask for a righting paperwork of cancelation wich we do not have we though that a simple call to notifyed the Agen about the cancelation was sufficient, and the Agen never ask for a righting paperwork or email to make it formal and we never though of sending an email. The Agen acepted that we did call to cancell but he did not cancel the insurance because he needed the cancelation paperwork from the new insurance company, When we talk to him about the cancelation he never ask us for any paperwork from us or the new insurance conpany to complete the cancelation proccess. Is been a lot of contradiction between Country Financial corporate and the Agent about this situation. The Agent call us with the las resolution and he tell us that there is noting they can do because there is no a righting paperwork of cancelation, and they are not going to reiburst us the money. We as costumers think we did the right procces by notifying the Agent about the cancelation, out of ignorance we did not though about sending and email to have a righting proof of it, but also the Agent did not ask for that so we thoug a siple call was suficient. We are looking for a full refound of $1,482.34 dollars.Business Response

The company doubled my policy amount by creating a secondary policy for a vehicle that was already under a different policy and charged me for both accounts. They refuse to reestablish my policy to its original standing. When I call, my agent ***** *******, she refuses to talk to me on the phone and will only email making communication null. Switched auto insurance companies. My new (**********) agent and I provided notice on 8/8 for termination of Country Financial coverage on 8/16. Country Financial then kept charging my account after coverage was terminated. After multiple requests, coverage was finally terminated with an effective date of either 9/9 or 9/21 as it is documented as different dates on different mailings. The original termination date of 8/16 needs to be honored since Country Financial chose to ignore it through no fault of our own. A new reimbursement check should be issued for the correct amount going back to the original termination date.Business Response

Since August 2022 I have been attempting to contact my Life Insurance agent, ***** *****, with Country Financial. He didn't return my calls or emails, so I called the 800 number and spoke to customer service, they differed me to get in touch with ***** ***** for the questions I was asking. I repeated that I am not able since an agent will not return my calls, so the representative forwarded the issue to the supervisor.
On October 15, 2022, ***** finally called me and asked what I am trying to accomplish with my policy. I told him that I want to cancel, but he suggested that he will see if he can change it into a different policy to save the equity I built in it and not lose money. I also told him that the monthly payment was due that day, but I took out the banking information from the online account, so it should not process. He promised to look into it and get back to me that day. two days passed and still nothing. Meanwhile, I have received a letter informing me that due to my bank refusing to pay the monthly payment, they took the money out of my policy equity and applied it to the monthly due payment.
Then I called customer service and asked for the supervisor. ***** ******* returned my call and promised to get me in touch with a different agent, which she did, That agent took my info and what I was trying to do and again, never called back.
So I called back ***** and asked her to cancel my policy and reimburse all the cash value of that policy, including the payment that was taken out for the month of October without authorization from me.
I received the check two weeks later, but it was short on money, she never reversed the payment for the policy for the month of October. When I asked why she didn't, she told me to call back my agent, ***** *****. I emailed ***** ( cc'ed *****) on Monday, November 14 asking him to follow up with me and help resolve the money missing issue. No answer. I am at the brink of my patience and feel extremely disrespected and discriminated against.
I need BBB's help to get my remaining money back in the amount of $352.57

I have been with Country for 14 years. Country financial quote appraiser did not inspect the home and through away a roofer inspection. The first estimate I got was to replace siding on the home which was untouched. If I was not experienced enough being a handyman myself I may have hired someone to repair something that did not need it. Fraud. I took the day off work for the actual inspection which he called 30 minutes after to say he was not coming. When the adjuster came the next day to the house he did not notice a point of entry where raccoons entered the home. After he spent 2 1/2 hours I discovered it by putting my camera on MY extension pole. I found the damage. He left his ladder and had to drive back. They denied the claim and reported rodents upon the first call before inspecting. The staff all perform in an aloof manner asking the customer for advice and how to do their jobs. One agent told me he needs to get dressed and take a shower while on the phone with me. What?!?Business Response

Nature of the complaint:

Background:
I have the same name as my father, with the exception that our middle initials are different. I live in an entirely different state. I formerly had an account with ******* ********* ***). My father currently has an account. We have never shared an account.
Incident 1:
On September 3, 2021, I was emailed my father's bill. I called Country Financial and alerted them to the problem. They promised they would make sure to better handle my personal data.
Incident 2:
On September 23, 2021, CF emailed the receipt indicating that my father had paid had paid his account.
Incident 3:
On September 3, 2022, CF emailed me my father's bill.
Complaint:
Country Financial has had over a year to improve their handling of my personal data, and has shown no signs of improvement. I am concerned that my personal information has been improperly stored and/or shared as I have direct evidence that they are doing this with my father's personal data.Business Response

I canceled service and went with a different provider due to high rates and increases on 0 claims. I have been charged for services not rendered to me as I had an other provider. Also I have not been issued my refund for the second half of the year as it was prepaid at the beginning of the year. So this company owing me money false charged me and sent me to collections while still being owed money too. I wouldn't use this company ever and if anyone would ask I would gladly tell them how poorly they operate and fail to respond to contact.Business Response
