When you called our Office your only concern at the time was that the Concrete had cracked , We told you that Unfortunately there is no Guarantee on Concrete, All concrete cracks, Concrete can crack within hours of the pour but most of the time it cracks within 30 days, There was never any mention of Sidewalks had Concaved or Holding Water, Not sure what you mean when you say (could see brick building next door over entrance door) The Window on your Garage Does not Require any Caulk, If you would like to call our office at ************ We will have someone from our ****************** reach out to and Schedule a time to come by your home and address your concerns, Thank youReview from Carl B.

After 70 Years Now Living On Its Laurels? Buyer Beware! This very recent experience has been like visiting an established restaurant and the food served was good, but the overall treatment and service were horrendous. It is unconscionable to believe this company has been in business for over 70 years and treating its customers so disrespectfully with such poor and inept customer service. Perhaps they engage in disparate sales and customer service practices - do not treat its customers equally. Otherwise, how could they remain in business?Sub-contractors were hired, whom Steele and Loeber did not supervise or monitor. Throughout the construction process, we frequently we were not informed when the workers were coming to perform the work. They just showed up. On two separate incidents, the sub-contractors blasted their music from their boom box while working, in the early morning hours. Long-time next-door neighbors who work at night, sleep during the day or work from home were not entertained. They threatened to call the police. Each time, the workers promptly stopped the music when requested. Twice, the electricians were no shows, after confirming the day before. I also had to pay (per a waiver) for a damaged sprinkler pipe that the electrician mistakenly split water was gushing everywhere. The drywall contractors did a good job installing the firewall on one side of the garage. However, we were not ever informed that the drywall work was completed because they left behind a drywall panel and other small materials. After two weeks, I asked when the guys would return and was then notified that the garage had been completed. The rep never bothered to call, visit or text, to inform us of the completion nothing just silence. We risked parking our cars on the street an extra two weeks for no reason. The drywall panel remained in the garage for about another week before having to call them to request removal.Shop around -You can do much better!Steele & Loeber Lumber Co. Response

****************,I can assure you that resting on our laurels is not an option within our business, as we take much pride in managing our company daily with only the uppermost standards. We have done our best to not only be reasonable with you, but we have also gone above and beyond to accommodate your requests that were within our reach. After our sales rep provided you with a first written estimate, you contacted our rep to come back over to your home to write the contract. Upon his arrival, you told him you wanted a bigger garage along with extras at no additional cost. He stated that would not be possible unless you were willing to pay the additional cost. You insisted on these items with no additional cost. At that point, the salesman told you that our company would not be a good fit for you and left your house. You then called our sales rep back the next day and pleaded with him to come back over and write the contract for the additional cost he quoted you for the bigger garage and extras. Upon signing a contract, we email/mail each of our customers a customer letter clearly stating the payment schedule as well as projected time frames. Not only had we completed your garage 4 weeks earlier than expected, we had assigned some of the best contractors in the industry to your project. You had also insisted on changing the payment schedule halfway through the build. We told you this is not our practice and you were fully aware of our payment schedule. We must keep this uniformed for all of our customers, as we need to make sure our process stays consistent to ensure all customers are treated equally and fairly.Prior to obtaining your permit, your sales rep had referred you to an individual for you to order your Plat of Survey at a cost effective rate that is much lower than other competitors. Following, your sales rep obtained your permit for you in a timely fashion despite being in a historical district. He expedited the process through putting forth extra efforts while helping you with time management by speaking with the village to get you out of Zoom calls that the village was requesting you to attend. It is not in our practices to show up to any job site without prior acknowledgement, and with each appearance, a call is made to homeowner to make them aware. As far as the contractors playing music while working and displeasing your neighbors, they were not previously aware of your neighbors sleep schedule and I am delighted to hear that they had complied and turned off the music upon request. In regard to your sprinkler system, it is made aware that the homeowner is responsible for removal and/or marking of anything that *** be in the way of the project site prior to the start date. Steele and Loeber was not made aware of your sprinkler system, in result we would have not known to avoid it.Your sales rep had came back to your home a total of four times during the construction of your garage, two of the times being after the concrete pour and after the build. Your sales rep had taken time from his day to remove the drywall and touch up the trim for you as well.Your inspection has passed through the village and met all of their codes and standards.I can assure you that Steele and Loeber will never rest on our laurels and we will continue to go above and beyond and only employ those who follow our best business practices. (All contractors best beware of this individual)Review from KENNETH M

We lost our detached garage in an emotionally charged fire in March of this year. We needed to rebuild as quickly as possible. We searched for garage builders and very few wanted to even show up. Some would only give estimated proposals by email. When a neighbor told us about Steele and Loeber we made a call. ***** showed up the next day personally and walked through the entire build with us. We trusted him so much we signed the contract on the spot. The pricing was reasonable, but the service was great! ***** kept us informed every step of the way. The people doing the concrete, the building and the electrical were quality and willing to communicate. The outcome was superb, and we were thrilled with the garage.Steele & Loeber Lumber Co. After hearing so many horror stories of how bad some garage rebuilds went, my wife and I were very hesitant about getting our old eye soar of a garage rebuilt. After searching the internet and reading one bad review after another we finally came across Steele and Loeber Garage Builders. The reviews on their company were very good so we decided to give them a call for an estimate. We meet the rep ***** and he walked us through the process and the costs. ***** was very professional and talked to us like our opinions mattered. He took the time to explain everything and not once did he try to "Up Sale" us. ***** was very straight forward and honest. ***** is a top-notch rep and has excellent customer service skills. There was no question we were going to sign with Steele and Loeber. One of our biggest concerns was how long the rebuild would take. We had heard and read about some garage builds taking as long as 6-8 months to be complete. ***** was very upfront about how long it could take but he assured us that the process would not take that long at all. He was a man of his word!! We signed the contract the last week of March 2022 and the new garage was up and ready by the 3rd week of May 2022. It only took 6 weeks!!! We were extremely happy with how fast and smooth the process was and ***** was there every step of the way. Unlike some companies where once you sign the contract you never hear anything else from the rep. ***** kept us updated on every step and was very responsive to any questions we had. From the Permit process, demolition, concrete pour, new build, electrical work to the final inspection, Steele and Loeber were on top of their game. I can't say enough about how smooth the process was.The new garage looks amazing! On top of the garage, we also had a covered patio added to the back with a party door access. We are so excited to enjoy our new garage and patio this summer. We highly recommend Steele and Loeber.Steele & Loeber Lumber Co. Response
