Complaint Regarding Donation Experience at BioLife Center, *************** Dear *********** am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my recent experiences at the BioLife Center in ******, **. I have encountered several issues during my visits to donate plasma, which I find deeply concerning.Firstly, I have noticed recurrent problems with the handling and processing during my donation sessions. Despite my adherence to all guidelines and protocols, there have been repeated instances of procedural inconsistencies and delays. These issues not only inconvenience donors but also raise questions about the operational efficiency and reliability of the center.Additionally, I have observed a lack of communication and professionalism from the staff. There have been multiple occasions where staff members have appeared unprepared or unaware of standard procedures, resulting in unnecessary complications and frustrations.I kindly request a detailed explanation regarding these concerns and an outline of the steps that will be taken to address and rectify these issues. As a committed donor, it is essential for me to understand why these problems persist and what measures will be implemented to ensure a more reliable and professional donation experience moving forward.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.Sincerely,****** ******** **********

They gave me a bad card, and when I reached out to customer service, the only option they gave me was to cancel the card and wait an additional 7 to 10 business days to receive and be able to use a new one. I can't wait any longer. I was promised money immediately. The next option was to transfer the money for a 4.95 fee and wait 1 business day. I went with the second option on July 4th. I still have not received anything. They additionally said that if the money isn't there today, now it will be an additional 2 to 3 days. Nowhere in the disclosure does it say any additional time for an immediate transfer. The document states, "ACH Transfer to ********* Account, same day. $4.95 per transfer. With Same Day ACH, the transfer will be completed and the funds available in your account the same day or within approximately 1 business day." They have lied. I have been waiting and waiting and waiting, and when I went to donate, I was promised money immediately on a card, and the card that was given to me was defective. Now no one will help me; corporate has the attitude of Sorry about your bad luck. Have a nice day. Is there nothing that can be done to help me? They stole from my body and now refuse to pay me for it as promised?!? Help, please.

***** was hostile, combative and made verbal threats against me. She did not follow protocol by asking me, "Do you have any gum or candy in your mouth?" like every tech has asked me before taking my temperature before every donation I had. ***** shoved the thermometer awkwardly in my mouth, it was so far against the left side of my mouth it was clanking against my teeth and not even underneath my tongue. The temperature reading was off so I had to try again. I placed my hand near the thermometer to hold it she grit her teeth and with an impatient tone of voice she said, "I have to put it in your mouth." I said, "That's not how the other techs have done it." Immediately the volume of her voice increased and her tone has become infuriated, she snaps at me with the retort, "If you have a problem with it I'll get my manager." This was said in a petulant tone of voice, she displayed the attitude of: "How dare you express agency in the donation process by expressing confusion or concern, I will punish you by stopping your donation right now and calling up my manager so she can make an example out of you!" Again, she threatened to stall my donation process and by telling me she'll get her manager involved I said. "No, let's cooperate." ***** snapped back, "What do you mean?" I said I want to have my temperature taken following protocol. After she placed the thermometer in my mouth the second time I noticed that this time the device was placed underneath my tongue in the center of my mouth and not clicking against my teeth. ***** would rather assert dominance over a donor, threaten to stall the donation process after hearing a donor's expression of bodily autonomy, and disregard a donor's concerns when experiencing inconsistent procedures. ***** did not follow the protocols she claimed to be following. When I was in the donation chair I shared my concerns with ****** the manager and she was was polite and professional as she heard me explain what kind of experience I had.

This morning, June 6 at 11 AM. I went to a plasma donating center. Located at ***********************************************************************************************. One of the young ladies was trying to find my vein, but my veins were too deep, so they advised me to just go home. Ill still get a payout if its to go home because they already stuck me with the needle, and they didnt want to stick me again. Its already 12:27 PM, and I still havent received my $60 for donating, although I didnt donate because they couldnt get my vein. They stuck me with a needle, and because of that, Im still required to deposit $60. Ive never had a problem at the center before, but I dont respect the unprofessionalism.

I had a mild reaction after donating on 6/27/2025 and was assured my case would be reviewed the following Tuesday or Wednesday by the centers in-house medical staff, and that I would be contacted. I was not contacted, and my follow-up calls were ignored for multiple days. I spoke to a nurse on-site today (7/6/2025) about my case and was informed that it would actually be sent to an off-site team for review before being sent back to the on-site staff for additional review which could take up to 2 weeks. It has been 8 days since my case was opened with zero transparency about how it would be handled and the actual timeframe it would take. BioLife Plasma is poorly run at best.

On July 4th I received $70 for donating, but instead the company took $40 of that out with no explanation. And this keep happening when you receive money for donating they take the money they owe you. And they give no explanation and no help from customer service. Just taking our money without any explanation.

My name is Anastasiia Cheremina, and I have always been a respectful and compliant donor. On April 14, I came to the BioLife center to donate, but the machine was not working. Staff informed me that I would still be compensated and allowed me to leave without completing the donation. After that, I continued donating regularly at another plasma center (Octapharma) without any issues. On June 1, I returned to the BioLife location. During check-in, a screen appeared stating I was ineligible to donate and needed to speak with staff. Out of confusion, I took a photo of the message to show it to staff and ask for clarification. I did not know that taking a photo of the screen was against the rules it was done purely for the purpose of understanding the situation.I was then told this was my second behavior warning, and that a third one would lead to a permanent ban. I was completely shocked, especially because I had never been informed of any previous warning before this. I have always treated the staff with kindness and respect.I strongly believe that the first warning was entered in error or confused with another donor, and the second warning for a photo taken in good faith should not be treated as misconduct.I take this matter seriously and respectfully request:A full review of my donor account history Removal of any unjust or mistaken behavior warnings Reinstatement of my donor eligibility and protection from unfair disqualification I value being a plasma donor and wish to continue contributing in good standing, but I also expect to be treated with fairness and transparency.Thank you for your time and consideration.

I made an appointment at BioLife Plasma in ********, ******* for 6/15/2025 at 10:45am. This would have been my first time donating. I knew that at this appointment, there would be a physical prior to donating, so it would take some time. Completely understandable. Mind you, I had a choice between completing my first plasma donation or attending a class for my personal enrichment - needless to say, I chose to donate. The process from start up until I was put in line to donate was 8/10, I didnt really have any issues. When a chair finally opened for me occupy for the donation, it was around 12:39pm. This is when my issue started. I was approached by a phlebotomist named *** who asked me if it was my first time. I told him that it was and he proceeded to wrap a cuff around my left arm. The cuff was inflatedit didnt feel like it was around tight enough, but I let him do his job. He started palpating inside my elbow for veins while I balled my fist. I didnt notice any distention, but he gestured that he wasnt really able to locate anything. Then he went and did the same thing to my right arm and finally said Yeah, Im going to say its a no. Poorly explained TO A FIRST TIME DONOR the process of blood return, and why him kind of feeling a vein in one arm and nothing in the other was a problem. He said Your physical is good for 5 days, maybe you can work out your arms and come back, but Im going to say no today, sorry. I was slightly embarrassed, but more so extremely upset at all of my time wasted. Embarrassed because what made me so different than everybody else? I didnt cause a scene, I left the building, but I returned a few minutes later and I asked for a second opinion which wasnt honored. I dont know who **** is, but he was no help. I tried to explain that it just didnt make sense for him to suggest I come back in a few days as if anatomically, Id be a better candidate. I dont know, this was an awful experience and a waste of my time!
