I am filing this complaint against Truckstop Factoring regarding an unfair $500 termination fee.******** opened an account with ********************** Factoring 2 times due to the fact that they were not able to factor any brokerage I attempted to get clearance for. Inever used the service. No invoices were factored, no funds were advanced, and the account has been inactive since the 2nd creation. Despite this, Truckstop Factoring is demanding a $500 termination fee. This fee is being imposed without any services rendered or value provided. I believe this constitutes an unfair and deceptive business practice.I have already contacted Truckstop Factoring in writing to request a waiver, but they have refused.Resolution Requested:Waive the $500 termination fee in full.Close my account in good standing without penalty.Provide written confirmation of account closure.I am requesting the BBBs assistance in resolving this matter.Business Response

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. When you enrolled, the agreement outlined that early termination would require either meeting a $20,000 minimum in factored invoices or paying a $500 termination fee.
Based on our review, only one broker was denied in September 2025. If you have additional brokers youd like to factor with, were happy to assist with check calls and processing loads to help you reach the $20,000 minimum for release. If you choose not to continue factoring, the termination fee outlined in your agreement would apply.
Please let us know how youd like to proceedwere here to support you in meeting your business goals.Initial Complaint

I am the owner of *******************. I have used truckstop load board in the past. I haven't used it in over 2 years. I recently subscribed for a year. I didn't like the board so I went online to cancel. Upon canceling I received a "hate to see you go message" asked me to do 30 days free. I did that. Before 30 days was up I went online to cancel subscription. I hit the cancel button but an error message kept appearing saying "you are in a trial period and can not cancel. I tried over and over up and until the day of renewal. At that point I called and they canceled over the phone. This was bait and hook trickery to force me to pay for something I did not want. When I originally tried to cancel the last subscription there was no error message, instead it popped up free 30 days. After the free 30 days it would not allow me to cancel. I have not used the load board and I spoke to someone via phone on the day of renewal and they said they manually canceled. I want to be refunded $42 effective Oct 13th.Business Response

Our company ******************* (USDOT# *******) applied to open a carrier account with ********************. We submitted all required documentation. The application was denied without clear explanation. We were told they chose not to do business with our company and cited vague connections to other companies, but provided no evidence. We previously worked for ********************************** as owner operators, but we never authorized use of our data. Now, as an independent carrier, we operate legally with zero complaints, violations, or claims. We have sent documents to clarify our case, but TruckStop closed communication and said their decision is final. This is severely harming our business: we transport RGN/lowboy freight, and TruckStop is the main marketplace. Denial of access without reason or chance to respond is unjust and affecting our operations and income. We respectfully request the BBB help us reopen this case.Business Response

MY company signed up with truck stop in September 2024, we were charged for that month, but decided, truck stop is no longer needed. The company was called to cancel, and to our understanding the representative canceled. Not realizing she put recurring charges to our company's account, so we called ********************** stop and they refused to refund our company. Called the bank and ***** saw probable cause to refund our money. Truck stop have the nerve to threaten us about reporting our company to the credit bureau. By the way, there is no contract, just truck stop lying, scheming crooked words to get over on small businesses. They are not a trustworthy company, Truck stop will tell you anything to get your information and use it to their advantage, and against the company a person is trying to build.Business Response

They emailed me telling me that I would be billed in 5 days. I replied to that email saying I want to cancel my subscription. I got a response that was apparently automatic saying that that email is not monitored. So I called them and it was outside of business hours. I forgot to call back during business hours. When they build me 5 days later I contacted them and they said no refund will be issued because you did not contact us. Something about their terms and conditions. I was hoping that they would treat me right and give me a refund. They did not.Business Response

The customer didnt follow the cancellation policy. He replied to a no-reply email box and it says it on the email that it is not monitored.
The request came in on Monday, February 10th, but billing didnt occur until the following Sunday. He also mentioned forgetting to call back after the first attempt. There are also no attempts to self-cancel online between 2/10 - 2/15. Truckstop followed our Terms and Conditions and completed the correct guidelines.Customer Answer

**** falsely reported to ***** that my commercial auto insurance was lapsed for nonpayment however it was never lapsed. As a result my motor carrier authority was made inactive and Im unable to operate for approx ******************************** speaking with ***** and my logistics broker they both say that **** has Been falsely reporting insurance lapses which is resulting in carriers being unable to operate. **** does not report to ***** when carriers have a pending cancellation with their insurance company. Auto policies are reported to ***** directly by the underwriters. On 11/22/2025, FMCSA showed ************************************** policy # 2-XPT-TX-19-S0352402-00 was set to cancel effective 12/30/2024. We sent an email to ***************** to obtain a new certificate of insurance. FMCSA posted policy 2-XPT-TX-19-S0352402-00, with a new Posted date of 1/3/2025. On 1/6/2025, the carrier called in to update their certification status. I'm very dissatisfied because they are false advertising. Their services and they charged my card. Today I requested a refund today. And they are refusing, giving me problems one minute. There is no supervisor on duty. The next minute there is a supervisor on duty, and i'm speaking with her. They tell me I can continue. Their using their service for the next month, but they don't even have a service. They claim they do, but it does not work in the meantime. I have health issues, and I can't do this job so I need my Account to be canceled and my money to be refunded. I should not have to tell people my health problems. I should be able to just get a refund on the same day. It was charged and go on about my business. I was going to use them in the future, but now that they have behaved like this, I don't think I will ever use them again, not that I used them anyways, because like I said they don't even have a service, it's a bunch of liesBusiness Response

Customers' billing date is the 11th of each month and their cancellation/refund request was on their billing date. According to company terms and conditions, a request to cancel the service must be made 5 days before the billing date. The refund was originally denied as we do follow our terms and conditions. The manager was requested by the customer retention team, not to billing. Based on the customer's situation, the billing team approved the refund as a courtesy. This has been processed.Initial Complaint

Truckstop offers Non-recourse with no time limit, so you get paid even if the broker doesnt pay. This is a complete LIE and FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! If the broker doesnt pay within 42 days Truckstop will recover the amount by not paying out future factored loads until the entire amount is recovered. They do not offer any solutions or suggestions on how to collect from the broker, nor will they give you an extension for you to try to reach out to the broker for payment. Our company has factored with TruckStop since 2021, they dont care about their clients. Not to mention, they do not return the factoring fees incurred when they recover the amount from you. If you have to use factoring, find a company that cares and will fight for you. Truckstop is not it!Business Response
