On November 29, 2023 I purchased an electronic ignition system for my 1977 ****** xs650 from rawhide cycles in ***** *****. The transaction occurred online through their official website and the full 455$ ******** for the product, as was advertised, and got a confirmation email that my order was received. Since then I have only been able to contact rawhide cycles once more on December 19, 2023 when they assured me the part would be in stock the following week. Well I have long paid my credit card bill paying off that 455$ ******** I gave them and still havent heard back when it will ship. They stole my hard earned money and judging by the reviews on ****** im not the first. Something needs to be done to rectify or stop this from happening again. I commissioned Rawhide to build me a custom Chopper Motorcycle starting July 15, 2016. The owner ************************* was a new "friend" of mine, so our agreement was a hand-shake agreement. At this time I had only really hung out with ******* a few times but we had many mutual friends so I trusted his word. I started with a $1000 downpayment and told ******* that I had no timeline and would make payments when I could afford to give extra cash to go towards the build. This was agreed by both parties with no contract or any terms or condition given by either of **. Between July 15, 2016 - July 8, 2020 I paid ******* according to his estimates and paid in full totaling $11,910 + an extra $200 that I just donated to ******* for Storage even though he never asked me for any storage fees at any time. Over the last 3 years after paying in full, I have reached out to ******* countless times in hopes for an estimated timeline, pleading for communication through his process, and have given more patience than almost anyone would with a buffer of time which has accumulated to 3 years to complete my project (with still no plan to complete). I took me a long time to pay for my project so I think thats why I have been patient but his lack of communication throughout this entire project has been incredibly unprofessional and at this point is feeling more like theft. Half way through the build I even tried getting out of it by having ******* sell the bike to try and recoup some funds but he talked me into completing the bike. I informed **************** intended on selling this bike to help with a downpayment on a house - no resolution. I planned to have this done in **************************************************************************** 2021 and told ******* - no resolution. I've spoken to a lawyer and really don't want to sue ********************** but this has gotten out of control and I'm completely out of patience, ****** and respect for *******'s business.
