I am a neighbor to one of Cobblestone rental properties. About 8 years ago I called the Company about a fence I installed that separates our properties, the previous renters had piled rocks, ************ against their side of the fence which was braking & pushing away my fence boards. After several requests they sent someone out to look at the damage and remove items breaking the fence. Nothing got fixed so I shored up my side as best I could.Moving ahead to now, two fence posts (that I know of) have rotted & broke off due to **************** on the renter side. I installed this fence, at my expense & labor about 20 years ago and the property owner has profited by having a fenced yard, the ******** ******** have enjoyed the privacy for many years. There are also several rental property trees that overhang several feet into my yard & dropping small fruits which make our dogs sick. I have called 5 times over a two-week period to have someone come out here and let me know what they intend to do to fix these problems. All I get is promises but no one has ever contacted me. I know the property owner and she seems like a nice person, had this Company contacted her I am sure she would be okay with **********************Business response

Hello we are fully aware that you have been calling and requesting us to do something with the fence. We have inspected the fence. We have put work orders in around April 5th for vendors to get us bids. We have received one bid back so far. Vendors are extremely busy right now trying to keep up with the demand right now. Vendors have not contacted you because we are dealing with the issues from the tenants side of the fence. We have not received a response from the owner yet. I assure you we are working on a solution, so I am not sure why you felt you needed to put a complaint into the BBB.Initial Complaint

Cobblestone is so SHADY. I have always paid my rent on time and when I was ready to move out I gave the 30 day notice letter, cleared it out and deep cleaned and left it BETTER than when I first came in. I still had to pay for additional carpet cleaning, regular cleaning and lightbulb replacement for bulbs that never worked in the first place. All of those things Im okay with. Unfortunately, it was my understanding that my lease ended in August but apparently due to an error from the previous rental company I was locked in until November for a renewal. I only found that out when they sent me a fat **** for 3 additional months rent along with the move out charges. I called and was told that they needed the rent money so they could advertise the unit and fill it again which I understand however during my move out inspection I asked ******** if I can recommend a friend who wanted to move in immediately and he said there were 9 other applicants waiting for the unit so it wouldnt be fair to let someone ahead of them. Okay, great! Thats totally fine. So I called and the receptionist said they didnt fill the apartment yet even though they had 9 people who applied for the unit. In 2 months (1 month from when I gave them notice I was moving and 1 month I was actually gone) they claimed they had not approved a single person. So I drove by and who couldve guessed, they were renovating the unit, on my dime. Theyve kept the unit vacant so they can improve it all while Im still paying for it. Crazy how fast they went in to renovate when I had my A/C unit broken for 2 years and several claims ignored. The receptionist said that they would at least need a months rent check and she would give me a call if they hadnt filled it yet. Okay, sounds like a deal so I payed up another months rent for a place Im not even living at. October comes around and I get no call so they mustve filled it. Fast forward 5 months later and I get a collection letter for the amount due.Business response

*****, We received your dispute and upon further review, were able to correct the charges. We emailed ******************* and told them to remove you from collections. We actually owe you money and emailed the check to the address in our system, after confirming the address with you. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to review your dispute and make things right.
