1 starWe received Pella marketing material in the mail in May of 2018 that advertised a warranty which covered "products and installation including labor for up to 10 years". We purchased 13 ********** less than five years, there were signs of installation issues evidenced by rotted siding around some of the windows. We hired a contractor in May of 2021 and again in January of 2024 to do repairs on our siding. Because the damage was significant, we contacted Pella. On February 20th, two Pella representatives performed a cursory inspection but shared that unless the wood siding on the home was removed, they would not be able to inspect the damage thoroughly. They did find that the caulk applied on the outside of the trim was subpar relative to industry standards. They also acknowledged that the flashing did not always overlap the Tyvek. We took their advice and in April removed the rest of the siding on our home and invited Pella back to inspect the damage. This time we received no response from the two individuals that performed the original inspection. We reached out to Pella customer service and learned that in a report summary prepared by the two installers, the caulk around the windows had gaps between the cedar siding and the azek board and caulking should have been checked regularly and it was determined that neither windows nor installation were the cause of the damage to the house. This conclusion was determined without ever seeing the full extent of the damage, the faulty installation present, or consulting with us on our maintenance schedule. In additional correspondence with Pella customer service representative, ****** ****** wrote, Pella Corporation does not provide installation services and therefore does not warrant installation services. This a direct contradiction to the marketing material and our contract.Review fromIDA P

1 starI am extremely upset and disheartened by the treatment I have received from the representatives of this company. I signed a contract for a new door, only to later discover that I was being charged $6,300 for a standard-sized doorsmaller than the size I actually need. This issue only came to light after a representative was sent out to measure the door.Within 24 hours of signing the contract, I stated my intent to cancel and sent an email to the appropriate parties listed on the contract for cancellations. I also reached out to the representative who sold me the door to inform him of my decision to cancel. His only response was ok. When I requested his managers contact information, he repeatedly ignored me until I sent multiple messages. Eventually, a managerwhose name I believe is Mattcalled me once, but I was unable to answer as I was at work. When my husband and I tried calling him back, he never returned the call. The representative I worked with was ***** ***. I followed up with another message expressing how disgraceful their behavior was, yet I still have not received a response about when my refund will be issued. The deposit was $3,195, and now I am left having to dispute the charge through **** while also dealing with Pellas lack of response. I even called Pella directly, but they offered no help and no clear direction on what steps I could take.Review fromSonia L

1 starPella has no quality control. I purchased Pella Reserve windows, a sliding door, and a door for $77,759.20 a total of (34) items. These items are poorly made and have butyl ooze all over the place and mechanisms don't operate properly. Others have no butyl at all making them not sealed properly. The inside grids rattle. I am having major issues with the arched foyer window which has no grid bumpers and the grid is floating between the glass causing it to rattle excessively when we open and close the door, walk up the stairs, and even shut the 2nd floor bedroom doors. I have been in discussion with my Pella ***resentatives who are ***lacing some sashes, but not all. They said Pella is standing by their product for the arched window with the rattling grid and will not do anything for the issue even though other customers are having the same issues. Even my *** agrees that the rattling should be corrected and that Pella is in the wrong. I have also had (2) bay windows in which they had the wrong dimensions. They had to cut (1) jamb extension back and add (1) makeshift jamb extension to the other window because they did not want to ***lace the windows. I have interior black stain, their service team painted the windows with a shiny paint that does not match the stain. It has been nothing but a headache and horrible quality since I signed the agreement on 3/15/2024. Pella has no quality control & stands behind their horrible products in which they know they have issues with. Their prices are not worth the poor quality you receive. I am embarrassed to use this company and they should be embarrassed of their products.Review fromJOHN F

1 starPella are not standing by their value proposition and have provided us a set of premium sliding doors with an internal blind system that does not operate. We have been relentlessly working at this for more than a year with no success; so many PELLA service calls without any resolution. Their own engineers and technical people also agree there is a problem they can not resolve,so they have left the problem with us to manage. One solution they have offered is, for us to actually pay more money ($2500) to cover their issue by buying a solution that is not suitable for our home. Absolutely unacceptable and we will never be buying their products again. Please connect with me if you would like an explanation of the exact issues. thank you ****Review fromNecole G

1 starThe experience with Pella has been very frustrating. A window was missed in our original order and then flagged when the official measurements were taken and noted it would be ordered. Unfortunately our sales representative, ***** ******, neglected to order the missing window and we did not find this out until the installation started. The stucco was cut away by the install team before it was identified that the window was not included. After all the other windows were installed the measurement on the missing window was taken for a third time and noted the window would be ordered. We have been following up with Pella for over two months and was just notified today (100 days after the stucco was cut and the other window install started) that the window was AGAIN not ordered. The communication from Pella is substandard and it is difficult to understand how the customer service team and the sales team are not communicating when we checked in with our service contact regularly for a status update. We have had the other windows installed for over three months with the stickers still on them as the team noted final inspection cannot take place until the final window is installed. We continue to wait. And wait. And wait.Review fromDallas A L

1 starPella sent the wrong hardware in the wrong color. ******** was damaged. New hardware comes in a week later, and it is not the hardware I ordered. They waited a week to order second replacement hardware. They cannot get anyone to come look at head jamb issues until Sept 13 over 6 weeks. They have no mechanisms for handling problems. People just make incident reports and follow their procedures making phone calls and you just get lost in their system. Wish I had read the reviews. *** not buy Pella.Review fromCatherine J

1 starWe had a scheduled appointment for July 25th and July 26th! We rearranged our whole house. This morning I called to find out what time they would be here, I was told between 8am-10am. No one showed, so I called again! Then the woman I spoke to knew I was upset because they changed our installation date. Instead of listening or assisting, she put my call back into a que so she did not have to deal with me. I did not cuss or call her names, nothing to be treated so rudely. Our appointment was changed to August 8th and 9th. We received no call, no email, no text message, NOTHING FROM THE ORLANDO/ ****** PARK OFFICE!! They were paid in full, not by choice I was told it was the only way we could get 12 months no interest! My home is in total disarray because we have to clear the way for them, as they are unable to move anything for us. I am 65 years old with health issues, my mother is 82, and my husband has Traumatic Brain Injury. This was a huge chore for us. I want to be compensated for my time!Review fromMichael T

5 starsWe had an outstanding experience with Pella Windows DFW, thanks to *************************, our Replacement Sales Consultant. ***** did a phenomenal job educating us on the quality, longevity, and logistics of installing the windows. He was always timely and maintained strong communication throughout the entire process.***** guided us every step of the way, even after the installation was complete. On installation day, he visited to ensure everything went smoothly and checked in on us, demonstrating his dedication to excellent customer service. He was flexible and helped us explore various financing options for the windows, making the process much easier for us. ***** was always courteous and professional, and we believe all Pella consultants should follow his example. He's clearly the best at his trade and deserves a raise. We also want to commend ****** and *******, the father and son duo who installed our windows. 1 starI ordered Pella doors and windows through ******. They were custom made and supposed to arrive today. After waiting all day for the delivery and they didn't arrive, I was told that they would come in tomorrow, June 22. Although upset that I waited all day for my door delivery, I figured another day wasn't going to hurt. The ****** customer service person called me back an hour later to inform me that he had made a mistake and that the door wasn't set to arrive until JULY 22 another month later than when they were promised. ****** gave me the phone number for Pella and I called their customer service department. They told me that these items are all STILL IN PRODUCTION. They haven't even made them yet. I've already been waiting a month for them to arrive and at no point did they tell ****** or me that they were not going to meet their promised delivery date. My entire building project has been (and will continue to be) on hold waiting for something that not only hasn't been made but from people who cannot tell why this has happened, what the status of production is, nor when they can promise they will be delivered. They also did not offer any explanation or to expedite the production of my doors and windows even after not delivering them when promised. Although these items seem beautiful on the website and in theory, I suggest using a different company for your door and window needs.
