Absolute termite pest control was hired for our house tenting fumigation on April 2025, three times the tenting was cancelled two because the technician came and climbed on roof and decided that the wind speed was gusting over 15 mph and cited that it was too windy and decided by the front office that it was too dangerous. The second time was cancelled because we did not have enough bags to store our perishables and technician came in the house said that the food was not double bagged. And thus it was cancelled again, two times the hotel room had to be used because we could not cancel the reservation. Mom has Alzheimers disease, was put on hospice respite for one week for every two month benefit period, for nothing, twice on the first two tenting cancellation. The third cancellation was because of the winds again, and mom was put in respite again for nothing, the house was prepared, all food was double bagged and sealed, and or removed from the house. Luckily we did not make reservations at a hotel this time. We complained all three times, and all we got was it was an act of god, and nothing could be done except to be rescheduled. We wanted to cancel, and switch companies, but Absolute termite wanted a mandatory ****** cancelation fee in the contract. I not remember signing no contract and told absolute termite to send me the contract I signed, because I never got a contract, am still waiting for the copy of the contract I signed. Next door neighbor had his tenting done by another company, on a windy and rainy day in April 2025. All I want is my entire full payment back for the cancellation. and well go with another company that did my neighbors house.Business Response

In accordance with the contract signed by ***** ***, a cancellation fee of $650 applies. This information was communicated to him via email on August 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM, and he has since opened the email, as evidenced by the attached documentation. He has been informed multiple times that while he may choose to cancel, the $650 fee will be applicable.
Furthermore, on June 16th, the need for rescheduling arose due to the client's failure to adequately prepare his home, which resulted in the associated charge and rescheduling. Therefore, as stipulated in his signed contract, Mr. *** may proceed with the cancellation if he wishes, but it will incur the $650 charge.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:, because absolute termite charged my debit another ****** plus tax mind you, for the cancellation fee.I cancelled the debit card, because I knew they are a shady business and would charge me more since they had the number of my debit card. I called the office and talked to the receptionist, and asked to speak to ***, office manager and they disconnected my phone call. I called back using my cell phone, only to be put on voice mail. I left a message, and called them back on my home phone, got hold of ***, and she said she was on another line, another lie. *** office manager, said they needed the ******, before they could issue the ******* initial down payment refund back to me. I asked to speak to upper management, but she refused to let. What kind of business is this? Total nonsense. Unethical conduct. *** called me back, and she spoke to upper management, they agreed to refund the ******* and odd cents, minus the ****** cancellation fee, after I sign a email stating that agree to the cancellation fee be taken out of the *******. *** is a total *****, recorded,conversation against , my permission to record, will let leave bad reviews where ever I can and tell them to avoid this business at all costs.

We hired and paid Absolute Termite & Pest Control Hawaii PCO#**** for full tenting in our house in March 2025. Two months later we noticed termite droppings again and request technician to come and verify. He stated the tenting was not successful and re-tenting would be required so we scheduled for July, and the company came to the house, late in the day to put the tenting and told us that they could not perform the service and we had to reschedule it due to wind, I did reschedule for 19 August again (mind I had to pay hotel fees for a family of 4 with 2 pets for the 3 times) and told them prior, to come first thing in the morning due to wind from the valley. They arrive at my house near mid-day and were putting the tent so we left the house. We did not received any phone call but we decided to look in our ring camera when we noticed no tenting was put in our house. Called the office and they told us they had to reschedule due to wind again. We asked if they could come the next day, first thing in the morning due to hotel prices ans availability, and I having limited movement due to recent surgery and they said they would not guarantee so we requested our money back so we can hire a more reliable company and we were informed we have to pay $640 fee for cancellation even knowing we never canceled anything and they are the ones not providing the service.Business Response

I trusted this unprofessional company with/in my home. Sadly, our neighbors witnessed the crew, assigned to tent for termites, helping themselves to mango from the tree even after I shared some. They also broke my knife target (wood board) and damaged my screens. In addition, they were so careless they even left their tent clips on the ***** of my roof. I also noticed a propane tank missing from my garage. I attempted to make contact the company both via phone and email to inform them of how unprofessional their crew was and to see if I could get some help with repairs to the damages their worker made. Unfortunately, they did absolutely nothing but ignored all of my attempts to make contact with a manager or the salesman and had the receptionist make excuses for their lack thereof. I later noticed an additional charge of $500+ while reviewing my credit card transactions so I immediately called my credit card company to inform them that I did not authorize the charge. I am not so sure I want any further contact with this company other than a monetary refund for the damages since trust has been broken. I want the community and other potentially vulnerable consumers to be precautious before they too are misled or mistreated by such unprofessionalism.Business Response

We would like to clarify that there were no fraudulent charges associated with the signed contract from Mr. **** ***. The non-preparation fee of $400 was applied due to improper preparation of his home prior to service. Regarding the damaged cutting board, our team did not come into contact with it, Per his mangos it was informed by our fumigation lead ******* that Mr. *** had given permission that the team could have some mangos. and therefore, we are not responsible for any damage to that item.
As outlined in the signed contract, we are not liable for any damages that may occur during the tenting process, which includes the screen in question. Furthermore, Mr. *** has disputed the tenting charge with his bank, claiming that we did not complete the service; however, we possess evidence confirming that the service was indeed completed, and Mr. *** is covered under a five-year warranty.Initial Complaint

Absolute ***************************** Control was a customer of ********************** since 3/3/2021; we provided 5-gallon water delivery & cooler rental to them. They were paying their bill until August 2024 they stopped. They claim their employee was stealing the water, but we have no control over their employees. They also claim no contract was signed, but we do have a signed contract, and they were drinking the water and paying the bill.********************** emailed Absolute Termite a final demand notice on 3/5/2025 warning Absolute Termite that if no payment is received, we will refer them to Medcah *****************.Due to the unpaid balance, ********************** referred Absolute ***************************** Control to an outside ***************** (Medcah) on 5/5/2025. We received an email from Absolute ***************************** Control on May 9, 2025, that they will pay if we can drop off water and sign a new contract. Menehune Water informed them that their account was assigned to Medcah.On June 4, 2025, we received a threatening email from Absolute ***************************** Control stating "Nahhh you're about to get a letter from an attorney lol." Then we started receiving invoices from Absolute ***************************** Control for ************************** in the amount of $1,361.26. ********************** owner, *** *****, called Absolute ***************************** Control on 7/2/2025 to inquire about the invoice from them and they hung up on *** twice. *** called from another line and when they learned he was from **************, Absolute Termite hung up on him again. *** called again and they blocked his phone.Our resolution is for Absolute ***************************** Control to stop billing ********************** for fraudulent charges. We attempted to resolve this matter with Menehune Water amicably. However, our owners have not received any response to their calls. We encountered fraudulent charges on our account, including billing for 20 bottles of water that were never ordered. They attributed this order to a receptionist named *****, who has not been employed with us for over two years. Furthermore, they asserted that we had a signed contract, which is inaccurate, as the contract in question is over five years old, does not have an auto-renewal clause, and was not signed by our owners.
Additionally, one of their drivers informed us about the disorganization within their office staff and the challenges faced by their management team, which contributes to a high turnover rate. Despite these issues, Menehune Water has attempted to send us to collections for an order we did not place. We have communicated our willingness for them to retrieve the water system they installed, yet they have not taken action to collect it.Initial Complaint

On May 5, 2025, this company charged my card $392. When i called and asked why i didnt get any appointment information for them to come so they could enter the house to do the service as they claimed to come earlier in the day and did "what they could" without anyone being home. I told them they agreed to treat inside and out and they claimed they did nothing wrong and tried to schedule an appointment in the future. I advised this is not what we agreed and i would like them to refund my money or treat correctly. I also advised that i had not authorized automatic payments and would like that to cease. In response they charged my card another $261 and emailed me tbat they have the right. Please assist me. I just wanted the service we agreed upon. Now i would like my money back.Business Response

We actually have a signed contract. So she is on autobilling and we did let her know our tech did do the exterior and we would be more than happy to come back out at no charge to do the interior. I had a a termite tenting for 3/21/25 between ********pm. Absolute people showed up 3 hrs late. I left my home soon thereafter. Approx 1 hr later, I received a call saying they were canceling because it was windy( It wasnt, variable winds all week). Looked through my security cameras and witnessed employees of Absolute sitting and walking across my PV panels repeatedly. I also witnessed an employee removing the cover and looking inside my cooler which was away from the house. The same employee who was walking across my PV panels was shown throwing food that he was eating at a fellow co-worker from his location on the roof down to the yard. I called to get a refund and was told that because the wind was an Act ofGod, they are only giving me a partial refund. No service was provided at all, they cancelled but because I want the full amount that I pre-paid prior rather than rescheduling, they claim there is a charge because the contract states Act of God is grounds to do so. It does not say that in the contract. It says they can cancel due to Act of God but the charge says that its for no show/no prep, or if they were denied access to or turned away from property. None of that happened. So due to the windspeeds it was unsafe for our team to complete the job. We called and reschedule this job then a week later the wife called to cancel the job since they wanted to cancel it is typically $650 to cancel but for customer service we did it for 550 instead. Since they didnt like the team on site I even offered our second team to come out if they were uncomfortable with the first team and ***** was willing to do that for us to get this job done but then his wife called my office screaming at my staff and saying they would like to cancel so per the contract agreement we did keep the 550 since we sent multiple staff out to the home.Customer Answer

The business left out key facts of the day they came out. First and foremost, their staff repeatedly and without any valid reason walked all over my PV panels damaging them. All of this was captured on video. I brought it up to them and they are in complete denial and refuse to even acknowledge that this happened, even after showing the video. They also looked through personal items. Owner claims it was to make sure no food was in there but time of actions was after job was cancelled. Just zero integrity as a business owner regardless of what contract states.

As per the terms of the signed contract, we regret to inform you that we are unable to provide a refund. The primary responsibility of our fumigators is to ensure that conditions are safe for our team to perform their duties. Unfortunately, on that day, adverse weather conditions, specifically high wind speeds, prevented us from completing the job. We dispatched multiple personnel to the residence, and when the decision was made to cancel, we adjusted the charge from $650 to $550 as a courtesy.
Additionally, during the final walkthrough, our team is required to inspect both the interior and exterior of the home, in accordance with our established protocols. We have reached a final decision regarding this matter. We offered to send a different crew if the customer felt uncomfortable with the initial team. The customer was informed of the cancellation fee as stipulated in the contract. Unfortunately, this led to a heated interaction with our office staff. Despite our efforts to find a solution, the customer opted to cancel the service. I am rejecting this response because: As I stated previously, Two of the employees from Absolute Termite sat and repeatedly walked across my PV panels damaging them. Owners refused to even acknowledge that it happened even though I brought it up numerous times submitted pics and have video in its entirety. Additionally, the time that I was given by email stated that they would arrive at my residence was between ******pm. They arrived at 430pm, a full 3 hrs late. It is true that they are required to check fridge etc However, as my video proves, I had already received a call from them saying they were canceling to high winds. A full 30 min or so after that call, and on their way out, one of the employees started going through my cooler which was approx 8-10 away from the house. So no tenting happened and already canceled but you still need to poke around my cooler??? They claim they are owed something because of loading up/ driving out to my residence. ******* who was the first to arrive, told me that the crew who would be providing service is coming from another residence close by in ******** as well. Its not like they drove from *******!

I have scheduled an appointment with Absolute Termite & Pest Control Hawaii LLC for 2/12/25 at 4:30-5:30pm to service my shop at the ********** location. I have text confirmation from Absolute ***************************** Control that the appointment is confirmed. No one showed up at the location and time that was scheduled. I received the invoice from Absolute Termite to pay for the service that they did not provide. I spoke with *** (manager for Absolute Termite) on 2/26/25 at 3:45pm, she told me that I need to pay for the invoice $78.53 that I have not received service for. She is threatening me if I don't pay for it the invoice $78.53, she will cancel the service moving forward, and cancelation fee is $261.78. If I don't pay for it, she will send it to the collection agency.Business Response

Per her invoices she is on a monthly plan for her ******** location which is $75 a month and we went out there and her workers let us do the service. I was more than happy to get her on the same plan for her ********** location but they would be a charge as well and she said she did not want to pay for that and cancel all services which if she wanted to cancel before the year it is $250 and yes if she did not want to pay we would send it to our collections agency.

Absolute Termite and Pest Control came to our house to perform a termite tenting service on 6/10/24. They pulled their very large work truck on to our property and parked very close to my car. They proceeded to unload their equipment, throw things to each other, joke around, and not pay attention to what they were doing while on our property. When they left, my dad noticed that my car was damaged on the drivers side, which is the side that the termite work truck was parked next to. Damages include cracks in my taillight, dented side panel, and paint scratched off. I called Absolute Termite and Pest Control right after the incident had occurred. They were already off of our property and their *** answered the phone. I told them what happened and that they were to blame for my car being damaged since they were the only ones on our property with a vehicle that day. The *** said their owner was on vacation and I overheard a womans voice in the background saying Hang up the phone, dont talk to her. The *** hung up on me and then I called back, and Absolute Termite and Pest Control had blocked my number. The estimated ***airs for the damages they caused to my car are about $3,500. My car is also brand new which obviously makes me even more ****** off. I filed a criminal hit and run police ***ort and went through 2 months of the police going back and forth with Absolute Termite and Pest Control. At first the company said they were going to provide their insurance card. Then they decided that they would retract that statement and then claimed that they were not at fault so they shouldnt have to be responsible. They also claimed since I didnt have photos of the incident happening then it didnt happen. I want Absolute Termite and Pest Control to pay for what they have done. This is the most unprofessional company Ive ever dealt with in my life. My car is still damaged and I havent been able to get it ***aired because of the high amount of the ***air estimate.Business Response

In response to the short and misspelled message from Absolute Termite & Pest Control, they DID hit my car and keep denying that they did. I see they have a lot of other complaints against them and its because they continue to damage their customers property and deny that they did it.
I have the police report, photos and videos to prove it.
Absolute Termite & Pest Control should be called Absolute Trash because thats the type of company they are. Complete garbage.
I want to be paid for my vehicles damages and will continue to pursue this.

Just like my other response. Absolute termite and pest control are not liable or responsible for any damages per the signed contract and agreement. No proper Incident rereport was made at the the time of service. No footage evidence has been provided, just accusations. Again absolute termite is not responsible for BBB complaints or at fault for this BBB complaint. Les want not even on island when we fumigated her home and we have our general manager on site during the whole fumigation process. After the fumigation was done the customers father called 24 hours later after said "incident" has happened and since we did no damages at the property when we had left the property it would of happened before our fumigation team was there. then 3 weeks later an officer had called we told him the exact same story and he closed the case and deemed we were not responsible. So again like in my other response we will not be response for any damages or payments to a vehicle incident we are not apart of.

I am rejecting this response from Absolute Termite and Pest Control:I am writing to address Absolute Termite and Pest Control's continued refusal to accept responsibility for the damages caused to my vehicle during the service on my property. Despite the claim of non-liability, the facts are clear, as the police investigation has confirmed.
Footage evidence was provided to the authorities showing Absolute Termite and Pest Control's truck parked next to my vehicle on the day in question. Multiple officers who have reviewed the evidence have explicitly stated that Absolute Termite and Pest Control IS AT FAULT for the damage. No other vehicles were present in the footage during that day or the next day, which has been included in the official police report, and the careless behavior of Absolute Termite and Pest Control employeesthrowing items around, joking to each other, and disregarding their surroundingsfurther supports this conclusion.
The representative, "***", initially agreed to provide the operators name and vehicle insurance details, yet Absolute Termite and Pest Control has since denied any responsibility. This shift in position is both unprofessional and concerning.
It is unacceptable to deflect blame by claiming no incident report was filed at the time of service or that I was not present. My father reported the issue within 24 hours, and the police report, along with the video footage, is clear evidence that Absolute Termite and Pest Control was responsible. The timeline presented does not align with the facts.
I strongly urge Absolute Termite and Pest Control to take accountability for the damages caused by the team. I expect this matter to be resolved appropriately and professionally, without further delays or evasions.
