Star Auto has breached our in-house financing contract. Made numerous attempts to rectify the problem with Star Auto but they refuse to accept. The way Star Auto "operating system", which is used to generate and account for payments received, is INVALID and need to be updated. Somehow, their system is programmed to allocate funds toward the "late fee" portion MORE than it should be. When I reviewed my payment history (which was received by Star Auto), I noticed they accounted for $1200 in late fees when it shouldnt have been more than $296.21. That is a big whopping difference of $903.79 that should be applied toward the balance of my contract. Informed Star Auto of this discrepancy and created a spreadsheet to simply show how the payments should be applied (Principal, *************** Fees). My contract DATE ends next month BUT, as of today, I have OVERPAID $238.01 and technically, paid off my contract earlier than expected. With all this given information, Star Auto refuse to sign over the title of vehicle and continue to demand payment for this month and next month (full term end date Feb). I have proposed Star Auto to keep the overpayment, sign the title and do not seek any further payment (offered three times), and they refused the offer, stating that I can take legal actions against Star Auto while they continue to move forward with collecting payment. Today, I will be making payment to fulfill their satisfaction and move forward with sharing my experience to everyone & file a small claims to retrieve all the money that is due back to me. Sad to say, Star Auto is scamming alot of in-house finance customers and have no remorse for their actions. I urge anyone that has had a contract with Star Auto, or even current customers, to REVIEW YOUR PAYMENT HISTORY!!
