Big promotion on medical Weight Loss is MONEY BACK guarantee if you do not loose weight. The first month is 20 pounds. I got an email from ***************** saying I need to loose weight to continue with the process of being an organ donor. When I went to the consultation it was painted perfect. She guaranteed I would loose thr weight or my money back. Unfortunately program did not work for me and I requested my money back. I got so much push back and flat told me I was not getting my money back. I trusted on program and consultant. I work hard for my money and I did it to be a donor so when 6 weeks passed and I only lost 5 pounds I deceived to ask for my money back. Thr representative always rude and say they don't give money back , even though that is the big promotion. Please assist me on this matter.Business response

We signed up with Medical Weight LOSS (MWL) and a short time later my husband's job was at risk. When we found out he was being fired, we put in for a refund request from the owner, *****************************, for the remaining credit on our account ($3000) so we could pay our mortgage (that was in October 2021). *******************, who is the MWL advisor at the Gainesville location, told me several times that ****** (the owner), or ******* (the manager), would contact me. Weeks, even months went by and I never heard from either of them. During this time, I kept in touch with *** and she made excuse after excuse for ******. 'She doesn't do refunds at the end of the year' or 'It's Christmas' or *********** is moving and she's very busy' Then, today, ******* called me to tell me that my refund request had been denied because we signed a contract and the contract doesn't allow for refunds due to 'job changes.'***************************** has $3000 of my money. We are not talking about a few pennies. This is exactly the reason why people are scared to death of places like this, a contract is required and they bank on the fact that people will, for whatever reason, drop out of the program and they get to keep thousands of others' money. I know we signed a contract and to refund us would be outside the contract, but we, obviously had no way of knowing this would happen. How someone can be so heartless is beyond me. I don't know how ****** sleeps at night.Business response

We reviewed Mrs. ******* request. With over ****** successful clients, we are happy to see that she and her husband were also very successful on the program and enjoyed working with our team and that in no way was their refund request due to negligence on our end and that our program provided outstanding results for them both. We reviewed the request and it states the husband lost his job in December 2021 which is 7 months after enrollment in our program and services. We understand covid placed damages on most all people and businesses health, finances, and/or emotional needs in some fashion or another. What we are reminded of is that we must be fair and upright about our policies for all clients. On May 21, 2021 Mr and **************** agreed to our terms of use and that we guarantee our results and offer a money back guarantee after 30 days of program if they did not lose **** lbs during this time. Their refund request was submitted 7 months after enrollment into our program and our policy states if you are unsatisfied with your results and did not lose at least 8 pounds within the first 30 days you can request a refund at day 31 or close to it. In no fashion did our company provide any disservice or not hold up our agreements on our end. Therefore, we expect the client to hold up their agreements on their end. Agreements signed by both the consumer and the business. We would like Mr. and **************** to realize one must not minimize the need to keep our health a priority and that too comes with an expense. Our policies are in place to help clients understand that their health is a priority and commit to the program to ensure satisfactory weight loss results.
Possibly had it been something on our end that we were negligent or did not meet our guaranteed standards, a refund may be probable. In no fashion did our company provide any disservice or not hold up the agreements on our end. We suggest they come back to us when the time is right to complete their program and make health a priority as it was for them in May of 2021.
