I agreed with this company Decluttr, to sell off 3 used electronic items. We agreed to a ********* shipped them in. They confirmed they received the products. Then they emailed there was a direct deposit issue and they would mail me a check. They have my correct address and i have waited more than long enough for a check to be cut and mailed. I have never received the check for $996.00. Their own records should show they never sent the money or that I cashed any check. I have tried for a resolution myself to no avail. They do not have a phone number to call. (red flag). I have left almost daily inquires through their contact web portal. No one replies. Based on this lack of follow up communication, this can only be surmised to be a blatant effort to hope I just go away. This amount is close to $1000 dollars.What if this is something they are doing to multiple customers overall??? This company proudly displays your better business bureau icon on their web page. This should not be displayed if they are not following through with their payment promises and ignoring customer communications. I have attached emails documenting all the facts above. Hello, Thank you for investigating this complaint. A ******* from the Business has acknowledged this complaint after i contacted your organization. I do not believe they were happy about it. I base the on the fact they admit they have my money,.... but to date have not sent it. They email me quite a bit saying it is being looked at, its being escalated, etc. over and over. Asing me to wait and this and that. That is all well and good but, they need to make good on there end of the deal they offered me. They have my 3 electronic products and state i cannot have them returned. Yet they continue to withhold my payment of $996.00 for close to a month now. This is blatant theft on their part. There is no excuse to take his long with my payment when they clearly admit they never sent it. Please try and investigate further why they insist on punitively keeping my payment. Back in July on 2022 I sent an iPhone XR to Decluttr. Upon Decluttr receiving the phone they said it was not as described and changed their offer price to me. I declined the new offer and asked that they return the phone to me and they said they would. I have never received my phone back and Decluttr can not provide a date that it was shipped back to me nor provide ANY type of tracking information. I have emailed Declutter numerous times (14 times) in the months since about this issue and was assured that they were escalating the issue and were looking into the issue. The only responses I have received from Declutter are excuses and stonewalling. Decluttr said they would pay me ******* Galaxy S22 (128GB) Unlocked Order # *******,The agreement was approximately $231 for a brand new ******* Galaxy phone. Decluttr last week said they are "revising" their offer to $11. When I went to press the DECLINE button, they said "thank you you accepted." This was a glitch on their part and despite several emails they will not resolve and return my phone. As far as I'm concerned this is theft and I need my property returned. I am rejecting this response because:A) I did NOT accept the "revised offer" by Decluttr. I immediately reached out to let them know I did NOT accept the offer. They had a green button that says both "accept or decline" . That was the ONLY button you can press to decline yet they choose for me that I accepted.
B) I have several emails explaining how I do NOT accept. They failed to provide any response for 3 days nor do they list a phone number to work this out
C) I have asked several times how I can send them their $11 back. To be clear, I NEVER ACCEPTED THIS THEY SENT IT DIRECTLY TO MY BANK ACCOUNT. They have only responded in their emails that considering they sent me the money they return. This is a scam
D) I went to their ******** account and I can see dozens of other customers who have also experienced the same problem I have without it getting resolved so the idea that they do not have an issue is false.
They only issue they have is they have my phone valued at $233 and are refusing to return. I did NOT agree on receiving $11 for a phone. The phone can be sold on **** for $500 so why would I ever accept $11? This is not only the truth this is common sense!

These people have not sent me any information on where to send the money back. I have asked several times for them to give me specifics on where they send the money. As you can see in the attached email the only instructions they said were to reserve the payment so we can dispatch the device (see attachment)Ive asked them to clarify what this means or to give me a call to resolve this. They have done neither. But they did take the time to respond to Better Business Bureau and say they reached out to me. As you can see, they are trying to make this problem go away without resolving it.

We have reached out to the customer various times via private email confirming the details of where to return payment of $11.
Unfortunately we received no response, however opted to return the device to him without payment being returned.
The device arrived with us, and was reduced in price due to Pixel faults, and display damage, causing the item to not function correctly.
Prior to testing, the exterior packaging was checked, and there were no signs of tampering or damage, indicating the item had not been damaged within transit.
The item was then assessed and found to have the display issues on the screen, causing us to reduce the price.
The item has been returned to the customer in the same condition it was in when it arrived with us, and we can assure you that all items are handled with extreme caution and we have senior members of staff observing at all times.
If the customer has any images of the device prior to sending it, we would be happy to review these, however the item did arrive with a faulty screen, therefore we revised the price accordingly, and despite not receiving payment back, we have returned the item in the same condition it was in when it arrived with us, which was not functioning as expected.

I am rejecting this response because: A) after SEVERAL times asking Decluttr where to resend the $11 the ONLY response was I am to "reserve" the $11 (see attachment). I asked several times what that means, where to send it to and to call me if needed. I NEVER received any clarification. I even reached out to Decluttr on ******** and the advisor was confused what they meant by that & asked them to reach out to me againB) The phone was in PERFECT WORKING ORDER when I sent it, I followed exact packaging and the only problem they claimed "Our technicians found one or more pixels at fault." (see attachment email) This was in perfect working order and was a 3 month old phone barely used... Regardless, if they truly felt this was true, even the website on ******* verifies that 1 or more pixels at fault would be "barely noticeable" See resource: *********************************************************************************************;
C) the phone was returned non operational! The phone no longer turns on and I have verified this in video to *********************** and Decluttr. I sent them a workable phone and they sent back a broke one. They may now send me the agreed initial agreed money for a working phone OR return my phone in workable condition.
The company has shown no motivation to rectify this & my communication attachment speaks volumes. Please ask them what proof they have that they sent me specifics on where they have "reached out several times" to send $11 back. Ask them how on earth saying the word "reserve" is specific to where or how to send their money? Again, Don't take my word for it, check my attachments and ask them to do the same.

It states on their website "Once your order has arrived, we'll send you an email to let you know we've received it." I mailed my functional iPhone 11 for a price quoted by Decluttr of $291 on 01-29-23 using the *** label they provided. The package arrived at Decluttr's ********, ** facility on 02-01-23 according to ***. I did not receive any confirmation of receipt message from Decluttr until I opened a ticket on 02-10-23 and ***** responded on 02-12-23 claiming they needed the "courier slip" which I proceeded to provide them the *** evidence of delivery. I did not receive any response until I opened a new ticket with Decluttr on 02-20-23 when ****** responded on 02-23-23 that they received an empty Amazon package. I proceeded to provide the shipment details from *** which showed my package weighed 2lbs. Following this, ****** replied on 02-27-23 saying they received all relevant information and would respond within 48 hours. I had not heard anything until I responded again on 03-06-23 when ****** said this would take another 48 hours. Finally, when I responded again on 03-10-23 that the 48 hours passed twice. ****** then responded on 03-14-23 that the parcel was received and showed no signs of tampering, so they could not help further. I attempted to ask for a phone number to speak with someone that they could not provide so I am forced to file this complaint.I packaged my iPhone within amazon bubble wrap within a larger brown box. I suspect that whoever opened my box took one look inside and saw the amazon bubble wrap and then through out the package by accident. While unfortunate, if this is the case I expect Decluttr to take full responsibility and credit me the quoted amount.Business Response

From looking into this, I can see that the parcel for 1454842 arrived with us, however when our team opened this, it had no item present inside.
We carefully assess the exterior of all packages to ensure they are checked for any signs of damage or tampering. This parcel was received with no signs to suggest it had been tampered with in transit, and therefore we must review this further.
In order to investigate this matter further we require confirmation the **** of the device, alongside proof of ownership for this.
This can be retrieved by contacting the retailer the item was originally bought from.Unfortunately, we cannot assess this situation any further without the information requested above.
Please provide confirmation of this, and we can then look into this matter further.
I can assure you that we have looked into this and the item was not present in the package. We have senior members of management observing at all times, as well as CCTV operating, and the package had no device in it when it arrived. We therefore need the information requested to review this.

I sent the order on March 9th, 2023. The tracking number that is on the Decluttr site under my orders is 1Z867E8W9094977205. I accidentally printed out another label from their site using the print another label function so it is a different tracking number on the label than on the my orders page. The actual tracking number is 1Z867E8W9091152253. According to *** it says that my package was delivered this morning at 10:05 am and received by ****. I have tried emailing a few times now and only received one response. I just want to know that my order has been received and will be processed correctly and that the money will be credited to my account or I would like my items to be sent back. After one month, I had not been contacted or paid. I sent them a message, through their "contact us" section of their website, in December 2022, January 2023, and February 2023. In early December I sent my iPhone 13 pro *** to decluttr. After, I received my initial quote I recieved an email saying that my device had a bad ESN and that I could have my device sent back or I would have to pay to unlock it. I opted to have my device sent back on Dec. 15th. A shipping label was created and my device was sent back on Dec. 23rd. By Dec.28th I still had not received my device. I made a claim with *** who told me I would have to work with the sender to be reimbursed even though the device was originally mine. I have been emailing back and forth with customer support since then requesting an update on the claim or any sort of status regarding my lost item. It is now March and I have not heard back from decluttr regarding my phone that *** considered lost on Dec.28th. I feel like I have no choice but to come here and file a complaint which is unfortunate because I did not want to. The Magic Keyboard and Pencil were returned to you via *** on 15th February. The iPad was then returned in March, also via *** with the tracking number 1Z867E8W0398367762 which was marked as delivered to the Front Door at the address we have on the order.
