I purchased a 20** Kia 8 months ago from Evans Kia and yesterday it would not start; totally dead, nothing was left open. I was told the next available appointment was on May 29, 4 weeks from now. I was told the manager was busy with paperwork, not to have the car towed to them before May 26, and that was all they could do. My previous oil change service was available within 2 days. This is the worst service I have ever had anywhere.

Never had a bad experience with the local Kia’s until today. #1 i practically did laps around the car lot before anybody actually asked me if I wanted some help (I was in sweats and slide, so I guess yall thought I couldn’t afford a car.) #2 everyone in service kept emphasizing the time they close as if that was gonna deter me from leaving (even though I called ahead to ensure that yall would be able to complete the service I was requesting and yall said you could) #3 $200 later I am at home with the wrong tire on my car. What happens when I call though ? *aggressive hold music for 15 mins* hang up.. call back *aggressive hold music for another 10 mins* hang up, call back and who do I have the pleasure of speaking with ? The lovely sales manager Jahmir who hangs up on his customers when they’re not happy with service. And it’s amazing because although I will admit that I emphasized my frustration to every representative on the phone, I also emphasized that I understood the service department to be closed as well as the fact that I knew the dealership as a whole would’ve closing soon. But it’s not my fault that I called at 6 and a manager didn’t want to pick up the phone until 6:50. Don’t be a manager if you don’t want to deal with angry customers. This was extremely mishandled and once my tire is swapped I’ll be taking my business elsewhere
And it’s crazy because my goal after fixing the tire, was to upgrade one car and purchase another. Two sales gone.

I bought this Kia in 2022 when I bought the Kia I had to take the Kia in a couple of days later there was some repairs that needed to be done new tires, wires, etc. ***** ****, the Kia ****** ****** has been breaking down today, January 29, 2024 the Kia broke down on ******* *** *. a half a mile from **** * ***** ******* **. I had to call *** to come and tow the vehicle to Kia I did have to come out of pocket I paid $49.50 to have the vehicle towed from where I was at to Evans Kia. On 24 January 2024. I had an appointment to bring the car in to have an oil change. I also called to let them know that the engine light came on on Sunday. 21 January 2024 the engine has been knocking when they did the test they said they didn’t hear any knocking so I paid $600 to have whatever it is they claim was the problem but at the end of the day I had the vehicle rechecked, and like I told them at the dealership, it was the engine so I had to check the second time and I was told that it is the engine so this time they have been lying to me and I just found out and I have a copy of the paperwork that I have warranty on the engine as long as it’s not over 150 right now. The mileage is at 116 so every time it breaks down I keep bringing it back to them and they’re just taking my money and not really fixing the problem on the 24th I spent $600 to fix the vehicle and like I said the vehicle just broke down on January 29, 2024. The manager that works at Evans Kia *** ** was very rude when I tried to explain to him that this has been an ongoing situation with the vehicle and I really believe that they should help me with the vehicle and he told me please do not insult His intelligence. I did ask during the warranty. To be removed out of that particular vehicle and into something different and they kept making up excuses. I do not recommend anyone to Shop at Evans Kia. That’s just my opinion because of what I’ve experience..

Stay away from buying KIAs. I've been a KIA customer since 2013 and I have always maintained good maintenance on my vehicles. My 2014 KIA Sorento's engine started knocking and I had a diagnostic done on it. The engine bearings went bad and metal shavings caused catastrophic failure to my engine. The dealership said sorry no warranty you will have to pay for it. My husband had a 2013 KIA Optima engine lock up on him and it was replaced. My family is through with KIAs . KIA's are having major issues according to Kelley's Blue book and lawsuits for the same issue but the company is not being accountable for it.

Our new car buying experience here was in part unpleasant, lengthy, and was also riddled with uncertainty. Our salesman and the sales manager were the only two exceptions to this unpleasant experience. Honestly, we had never encountered such a unique car buying process before such as this one. Even though we have excellent credit and income, are well qualified buyers, and arrived at the dealership with the funds to make a large down payment, we were asked to sign a conditional delivery document. Usually, and it our understanding, that this particular document is for subprime borrowers. Additionally, the second set of our new car keys was held from us until two days later. It felt strange to us to leave the dealership with our conditional new car purchase knowing that someone else had possession of our second set of car keys. We were told that our new car was ours to drive away, but technically only until the dealership received final loan approval and loan funding from Kia Finance. So, our question was at that point, were we loan approved or not? Therefore, we felt that we could not really drive or enjoy our new car purchase until several days later after our purchase, since we felt that we had to park our new car at home until we were told that the car was really ours to keep, and to avoid being charged for mileage if we had been asked to return the car. Additionally, we were asked to return to the dealership the next week so that our car could receive pre-delivery inspection. When we arrived at the service bay for this inspection, the service writer greeted us with frustration by asking us, what are y'all doing here. He then told us that we would have to wait three or 4 more hours for the inspection. The service writer did not greet us with a hello, how are you guys today, how may I help you guys today, good morning, no welcome greeting, and no congratulations on buying a new car from our dealership.
