      I donated a ****** on ********* the *** I filed a claim and with my timeline I should have been paid for 2 months on short-term disability, when my claim was paid they held out $900 saying that that because of a sickness there was a 14-day holdout. A surgery is not a sickness! I missed quite a bit of work because of this and I was counting on this money I wasn't sure over one year ago so I made their timeline for donations yet they still took my money through their interpretation of a sickness which is not the dictionaries definition by no means. You can defile a dispute with them but I'm sure it's a waste of time. I discourage anyone from using this company and their deceitful practices they are nothing but wordsmiths

      Aflac representative deleted important documents for my Husband's work injury claim after we submitted all Doctors notes and X-rays. House nearly fell on husband and we have pics to prove. I'm submitting the actual email where she directly states she deleted the information submitted. I don't want anyone else to have to suffer because of negligence from a supposedly reputable insurance company. **** will also be contacted..as there are many violations. Do not use aflac...

      Stay away go with Aflac have paid in over 2 years 14 pages to fill out a claim 100 a day to recover yep in the hospital when you go home to recover sorry about your luck read the print I was told when you read it it sure is very misleading I cancelled immediately and will spread the word far and wide of how they mislead customers the banks who send their information to customers should stop immediately

      I don't understand why BBB shows this as a 5 star company when all the reviews are 1 star. This needs to be looked into by the BBB.
      I'm leaving this review as a result of purchasing an individual dental plan by this company. The plan was underwritten by **** ***. I paid five months of premiums and couldn't even get a dime paid on a dental claim. The first time the dentist transmitted the claim electronically. When I checked their website, it said that claims are processed within 10 days of receipt. Even though ten days had passed, I continued to wait and then when I checked again, their website didn't have any claims listed for me. So what happened to the one I noticed a few days prior?
      So I called them and a very rude person told me she showed no claims for me, didn't offer any suggestions on what I should do next or heaven forbid, offer to lift a finger to see why I saw the claim on their website a few days prior. *** *** ** ********* ** ***** ** * **** ***.
      I let the dentist know and this time they MAILED the claim to Aflac. After waiting the usual amount of time, I checked the website and no claims were listed. Called again and this time I got someone who made the first chick look good. She told me the claim was submitted on an "old form" and the dentist would need to resubmit on a new form. I asked her if they told the dentist this and her response was "we don't reach out to the dentists' offices." Hmmm, so I guess I'm just supposed to wait until I begin to wonder if I will receive something and then call to find this out and then call my dentist to ask them to submit on a "new" form (and assume they know where to find it).
      I asked to be transferred to someone who could cancel the policy and after another half hour, the policy was cancelled. I could have paid for the dental services with the amount of premiums I paid in five months and would have had enough left over to take myself out to a nice dinner.
      RUN, don't walk away from this company.

      Aflac has caused me so much stress! My husband paid monthly premiums to them for years. Sadly my husband became very ill and passed. Aflac wanted me to send them his death certificate, so I did. They then wanted copies of ****, ****** *********, etc., Ok, finally they asked for a copy of his Will, I sent it. I didn’t hear from them so I called them Again. They told me I had to get a Seal (Probate) before they could disclose information about my husband’s policy! This whole time in deep mourning and they are worried about having to pay out what was promised, they’re all about greed! Look for a different company!

      Don't sign up with this company!! You will go threw many obstacles to cancel when you realize its not worth 1 penny! They are so unorganized I wish I did not need to spend weeks following up on my cancelation. Finally cancelled but yet my account still shows active? I call get transferred around to many nice representatives who try their best. Please be ware

      Don’t waste your hard earned money on this- please. I just went through ****** cancer diagnosis and 2 surgeries and they gave me minimal money. And I had to beg , plead and fight for it on top of what I was going through health wise. The amount of money they gave me wasn’t even enough to cover one car payment and electric bill payment. They took far more money from me than they gave!!! I would give a no star rating if I could. This is a total scam!!!

      As others have stated, I would leave a zero star review if I could. Regarding my short term disability claim, my surgery date was */*/2025. My return to work date was */**/25. I am officially back to work. And stillll my claim has not been approved. Since week 3 post op I have been adjusting paperwork with doctor and employer to meet their needs. Each time called ONLY ONE ITEM THAT THEY FELT WAS INCORRECT. I had to have my doctor fill the paperwork out 3 times.. now my employer has to do it again because of an informality. They even stated in their notes that they thought the second time, my doctor filled it out, it was fraudulent, because half of it was done in print, and the other was in handwriting. I am beside myself at having to correct all of these things in pay.Extra fees with my doctors just so that they can be appeased. To me it seems like they do not want to pay you and they will do whatever they can to make you give up. This is a very cruel, ignorant, incompetent, incompassionate, and disrespectful company. I have dealt with 5 other short term disability companies in my lifetime and NEVER HAVE I HAD SUCH A GRAVE EXPERIENCE.

      Filed short term disability claim on 5/19/2025 after spending a few in the hospital and off work per doctor’s orders.
      Now it’s June 9th, and claim still hasn’t been processed.
      I call everyday for a status update, just to be told it’s in the “final review” stage and should be processed soon.
      Going on a month since filing claim and submitting more than enough paperwork from the ER, hospital, doctors and my employer.
      Will cancel as soon as open enrollment rolls around.
