They use deceptive marketing and business practices to lure you into using the *** as a quick and easy way to buy bitcoin and then they steal your money by only showing you the balance you are buying in bitcoin (which is volatile and changes from day to day) and give you a small amount. Someone needs to regulate these guys or throw them in jail. What a horrible thing to do to people.

When a transaction is initiated at one of our kiosks, the amount of cryptocurrency that will be received in exchange for the amount of cash inserted is clearly displayed on the screen. This amount includes all applicable fees and prior to processing the customer is required to agree to our terms and conditions and confirm the transaction. The ability to cancel the transaction is available at any time prior to reaching the confirmation screen. More information regarding our fees can be found at BitcoinDepot.com/terms. We are sorry to learn that this customer was dissatisfied with their experience and would like to invite the customer to contact us directly at ********************************* so that we may address the concern. Thank you!

My elderly parents were scammed by scammers using one of their machines. Most people who understand BitCoin and cryptocurrencies are not using these machines. I would wager the majority of people who are purchasing crypto through these are likely being scammed as the price hike is around 28%. There are likely a lot of scams that take advantage of these machines. As far as I am concerned, profit for this company is riding on the back of scammers. They need to be held accountable and actually take fraud seriously. I will be taking legal action against this company and attempting to rally people for a class action lawsuit. This company is profiting from scammers. If their system allows this to happen there needs to be some reasonable action by them to attempt to stop it from happening. If you are interested in banding together to do something about this; I created the email address below. The email is masked because they won't let me put one in. Remove the * from the @ and the . for the address. If you have been scammed or know someone send an email.I have contacted the local authorities and working to get the attorney general from my state involved. takeemdown881*gmail*com

It was unfortunate that your parents were scammed by a third-party unrelated to either you or our company. Our company has worked diligently with you to refund the transaction fees. Our kiosks have a number of posted and onscreen scam warnings, and we have live customer support available seven days per week. Scam activity is less than one percent of our transaction activity. We have been making updates to our refund process, and have since issued Ms. ******** refund. We consider this matter resolved.

They told me it would take **** days to issue check. Here it is November 12, 2023 and I am still waiting for my refund. Every time I text or call, I get the same answer, "it's in process" ! It is unfortunate that slow network activity delayed the transfer of Bitcoin into your wallet. Our records reflect that ************ initiated one transaction for a total of $1,000.00 USD on November 08, 2023, on his own account. As of November 09, 2023, **************** transaction was completed and posted to the blockchain. ************ did contact our Bitcoin Depot CEO between the time of the transaction and the time the transaction was posted. During those calls, ************ made harassing and threatening statements on voicemail. These statements were outrageous and beyond tolerable such that the matter has been turned over to local law enforcement. We have banned his account and no longer want to do business with ************ due to his behavior.

This company is a thief; The Chief Compliance Officer stated that they were going to refund me all my money from a scam. They did not do so. They only refunded less than 1/3rd of my money. LIARS!!!!

It is unfortunate that you were scammed by a third party. The scam has absolutely nothing to do with Bitcoin Depot. The perpetrators of the scam are not affiliated, associated, or otherwise directly or indirectly in contact with us. At no point did we lie or attempt to "hide the ball". You were told the same information that is reflected in our Refund Policy; that your transaction fees (less a nominal service fee) would be refunded. As is stated in the warning on the Kiosk and in the terms and conditions, these transactions are irreversible and cannot be recalled or refunded. This is the nature of cryptocurrency. You were refunded these transaction fees, but Bitcoin Depot cannot refund you for the Bitcoin that you bought and was sent to the wallet address that you directed us to send it to.

Complete rip off!!!! Deposited $520.00. Was only told a 3$ charge then when it cleared they took a $130.00 of it. Not sure why or how they are legally allowed to be so unclear in their verbiage, and take so much. This company should be shut down and ashamed of their shady business they are pulling. Un believable they are getting away with this.

SCAM ALERT! They broadcast the $3 transaction fee clear as day no issue. Once you deposit all your money and go to have transaction complete, it charges 28% fee without telling u it only shows you the Bitcoin decimal you will receive. Thats very weird because the entire transaction prior to the end shows you the *** dollar amount youre entering and receiving and NEVER mentions the additional 28% fee. Called customer service and rep and supervisor both said its legal because Bitcoin is not federally or state backed currency and they can not compensate at all. Close this place down ! I placed **** in a Bitcoin depot atm and they only put **** in my wallet and I even used their Bitcoin depot wallet. STRAIGHT SCAM

Made two deposits totaling $5000, took a $1400 hair cut right out the gate. I'm sorry but their disclosure of how much Bitcoin (fractional) is being purchased is ridiculous. how would I know how many dollars that was.. If they put that % info on the machine and additionally on the screen, plainly, then people would be informed properly. The reason they don't do this is because no one would utilize the *** if they were so informed. To me this is a criminal operation which skirts the legal issues involved. I would never use them again. H*** I've got better odds at the casino. I suppose they will make some ***** mouth response to justify their policies, but the ***s are being targeted at individuals who don't have a lot of familiarity with crypto , and probably this is their first purchase. "yeah let's fleece the suckers before they get wise".
