Contacted a previous employer for "employment verification." I was not applying for anything, whatsoever, that would require any type of background check. Sketchy company ***and RNN GROUP don't reply to this review with your bs automated mumbo-jumbo!***

Not to be confused with RNN GROUP **, a completely different entity.RNN GROUP based in ATL seems to be a legit business, but their practices seem unprofessional, if this is actually the company trying to make contact.Looked at some Indeed employee reviews talk about cold calling , terrible management, overworked, meeting KPIs, etc. Received 1 fax and 2 emails. The fax asked for previous employment for someone I have never heard of. The 2 emails only had two sentences with no information. The 2 emails had suspicious *** attachments. The *** contains an active link. Looks like an API link. Not touching something that looks like scam bait, legit company or not. At first, I thought it was a fake email using the company's name. But now I'm not sure, as I look at the other reviews here and on Revdex.com. Majority of the reviews seem to be calls and faxes. If these emails are truly from the company, you need to compose proper emails. The ones I got look shady AF. I refuse to take that chance and potentially get phished or malware/ransonwared.I understand the need to verify employment and get information, but the emails offer nothing to show that you are who you say you are nor any valid and/or relevant information to help your cause. Currently looks like something a bot or phishing algorithm created.

RNN seems like it can't possibly be a legitimate business. Called my business 20 times over 2 weeks to "verify full-time employment." I don't have full-time employees and never have. They then wanted to verify my DOB as the owner, but gave me the wrong DOB. They called again the next week to now verify my SSN, but gave the wrong SSN. They know my business name and phone number, but somehow have the wrong owner listed and want to verify information that doesn't exist. They want all the information, but provide almost zero information expecting us to blindly trust that everything is legitimate. Makes no sense. They need to be looked into. I told them if they want any further information, they can submit it in writing and I'll have my attorney review it.

RNN Group seems to be fishing for information on people. I asked they send information by mail or email and they refused. Looking at the complaints looks like just fishing for personal information.

This RNN Group is sending emails to my former employer asking the company to verify my employment. Who is this company and what do they want. First they send information to the wrong department and my name is misspelled. My old boss says that sent red flags to their end and contacted me to see if I knew anything about this.

This is a shady and unprofessional operation. They contacted my employer regarding employment verification. Fortunately, my HR colleague was suspicious and rightfully so. If that wasn't bad enough, I attempted numerous calls to get an explanation and one person hung up on me and the others gave me an extension to call back later because their system was slow. There is something unethical and perhaps illegal happening here. This is a reminder of how we have to protect our identify with outfits like RNN Group around. Your identify is not safe as long as people like this are trying to get personal information from current or previous employers. If you see anything with RNN Group, please run fast.
