AtlPlusMobility cited me a parking ticket that I was not allowed to appeal because the ticket was not in the system. Now I had to pay double the amount of money I was charged by the ticket.Business Response

My wife and I met our son for his 27th birthday dinner at ******* on **************. We arrived and parked on the street. We paid $6.00 via the parking machine, put in our correct tag number, Georgia A*082A, at 6:51 pm. The parking charge is $2.00 per hour. the parking expiration time was 9:51pm. We finished dinner and came to the vehicle at 8:45pm, and there was a parking ticket under the wiper. It was dark so we could not read the ticket until we got home. Careful examination of the ticket displayed that Officer ******* either needs glasses or is extremely careless. The * and the Zero are not close to each other on any keyboard. ******* entered on the citation that the tag number on the vehicle is A**82A. We have appealed the citation, although if we did nothing, probably nothing would have happened because there is no such tag in ******* as A**82A. A* tags are Georgia Aquarium tags and they all begin with A* followed by numbers. It was a pain in the neck and a waste of time to have to appeal the ticket. it will be interesting to discover what The City of Atlanta does with this bogus citation, or our appeal. I see that ************************************************ has a poor rating with the BBB. I can see why.Business Response

ATL plus mobility cited me with a parking violation. I appealed the citation due to 1. The citation not being correct (cross streets listed wrong) 2. I was not obstructing a walkway as listed in the violation 3. There is no sign indicating it is not allowed to park where I was. Appeal was denied so I paid the fine on their website. Company charged me again and doubled the fine. Merchant does not have a real physical address, phone numbers do not allow access to speak to anyone. No way to dispute the second charge. Disputed through the bank but this business is bad business, unsure if it is even a real company, they are ticketing everyone all over Atlanta, appeals are always denied. The appeal denial was sent to me by mail DAYS after the fine due date. It is listed as City of Atlanta on merchant information which is misleading. This is financial abuse. It is also listed as a purchase so when disputing the claim it is unclear that it is a duplicate charge for the same fine.We checked with the police on this street about where we are allowed to park and this company tickets in spots that the police said are fine to park in. The address on the merchant charge is not a real address. This business is taking advantage of people and I would like to file a complaint for an investigation and dispute both transactions. I received a letter today for a citation when I paid for parking. I did not receive a citation on my car I called the company requesting a refund for parking an any options for payment plan since when I came to my car there was no citation on my car. I spoke with a supervisor that told me I could not be refunded even though I paid and there was no option for me to make payment plan. she and her *** was very rude.Business Response

Please note the citation you have received is a safety violation. Although you have paid for parking, that is not the reason you were cited. Please also keep in mind transactions are self-pay and we do not offer refunds on meter transactions. At this time we do not provide payment arrangements because we have an appeal process in place where all customers have the right to file a dispute on any citation they disagree with. Filing the appeal freezes the citation and allows a review process to begin, however, it states on the back of the citation all appeals must be submitted within 14 days of issuance per the City of Atlanta Ordinance.

I am rejecting this response because: There was no citation on my car when I got to my car for me to even have a chance to appeal it. I am unsure if it flew off or someone took it off but when I left the location there was nothing on my car. I received mail on 12/6/24 which was a month from the incident.

I am rejecting this response because: regardless of the physical fact you are referring to the citation was no on my car when I got to my car. I was at the establishment for over 2 hours. I can am saying the citation was not on my car when I came out of the establishment that is not something I can control. I would have appealed it at the time vs reaching out via the BBB. I got a letter a month later.

I just received a notice of unpaid parking citation today on 12/3/24 with the issue date of 11/04/2024. I looked up the citation number and it shows no photos of my vehicle nor does it give an option to appeal this. There also isn't a court date available. This is fraud. On 08/24/24 I was visiting the state of ******* for the first time. I went downtown to see some historic sights, walked a few blocks, got lost and didn't due to the extreme heat. I was unaware of the parking situation and received assistance from PM Field Supervisor ******* ********** who approached as I was trying to understand the parking without my bifocal glasses. As he was there telling me it was ok to park there I had one of my cousins on speaker phone who kept telling me to beware of scammers. Mr. ********** assured both of us all would be fine and then handed me his business card and said if I have any problems I have his card. When I returned to the rental car, there was a parking ticket placed on the windshield. I was in disbelief and started thinking I had been duped. It had only been 7 minutes that I was given this fraudulent ticket. It seems as though the person ******** the one who wrote the ticket was in hiding and should have communicated with Mr. *********** They were patrolling the same area. When I got back to my state I immediately submitted a request to contest this ticket on 08/26/24. It had only been 2 days old. After several months I just receive a ticket in the mail for $105.00. Not only did they seem to do an inquiry but also increased it from $75 to $105. I am currently disabled and feel like I have been taken for advantage. Was I scammed. I am on a fixed income an cannot afford to pay this. I would like a full refund because funds have already been taken for this. If Mr ********** is a legitimate employee, why won't someone contact him because he took pictures, helped insert payment and he placed the parking receipt in the windshield while I stood there watching. The business card you provided shows that Mr. ********** is not an ATLPlus team member; his card states he is the PM Field Supervisor who works at ADID, which is not ATLPlus. The police officer who issued the citation took 7 images; these images show the vehicle in violation by being parked in a no-parking truck loading zone. The sign was next to the vehicle, and the arrow was pointed towards the vehicle. The citation in question was paid via check received on 10/7/24 with a process date of 10/3/24 to match the postmark date. I submitted an appeal 2 days after getting the ticket and just got a response in November 2024 thinking it had been dismissed. If Mr ************************ not an ATLPlus team member Why is he and another team member riding around on a scooter assisting people with parking. He helped with paying the parking by taking my credit card and inserting into the machine which I have never seen or used , placed the receipt in the windshield and took pictures of the vehicle. Was I scammed. This ticket should be dismissed immediately. This is unethical and unacceptable. I submitted a complaint to the Georgia's ************************* and awaiting a reply regarding this issue at the same time.Business Response

I recently received a parking violation (citation# *********) from ATLPlus. The statute listed on the citation is 40-6-203(B), which states: "No person shall move a vehicle not lawfully under his control into any prohibited area or to such a distance away from the curb as is unlawful."However, ATLPlus is claiming that I parked within 30 feet of a stop sign, which seems unrelated to the statute 40-6-203(B). I filed a formal appeal and received a letter from ATLPlus stating that there is insufficient evidence to dismiss the citation, even though there is no evidence that I moved a vehicle not lawfully under my control.Their notice of INSUFFICIENT CLAIM states, "This is not a legal decision. If you are not satisfied with the results of this claim you may email the City of Atlanta ****************** Team at ************************************************************************."I have emailed that address as the citation appears to be in error, but I have not received any response from the City of Atlanta ****************** Team. I live far from the Atlanta courts and cannot easily fight this in person. There is no signage saying you cant park within how many feet of a crosswalk and your enforcement agents are picking and choosing who to give tickets too as there are several vehicles parked on the crosswalk with no tickets. This is selective enforcement. I believe certain ppl and vehicles are being targeted for officers or agents to fulfill a daily quota. If there was signage like all of the confusing no parking signs in the area of ****************. There is no reason a tax paying citizen shouldnt be able to park on a free street when these residents have there own driveways for parking so who are the spaces being saved for ? If a person if from out of town how would they know about parking enforcement rules when there is no signage.Business Response

I am formally rejecting the response regarding the ticket issued to my vehicle. I request that you provide the specific liability law referenced in your correspondence in writing.
This matter pertains specifically to the selective enforcement of ticketing at a crosswalk where multiple vehicles were parked, not the presence of a fire hydrant. If there is indeed a law governing this situation, it should be uniformly enforced against all violations, which does not appear to have occurred based on the evidence I provided.
Additionally, I wish to highlight that the ticket was issued mere minutes after I exited my vehicle, without any prior warning or communication from the officer. This raises concerns about potential bias, as it appears that my vehicle was specifically targeted. I believe this may suggest an enforcement practice that is not applied equitably across all vehicles, particularly given the context of the neighborhood

To whom may concern, I apologize for parking incorrectly alongside this street, I was misled by multiple other drivers also parking along that street to go to *************, as there was a free festival on that day. I am currently not able to afford this fee as I have been unemployed for an ongoing 2 months now, but I understand that I did not do my due diligence for not reading closer to realize the lot is paid parking only.
