    Yikes. They withdrew funds from my bank, then put a 5-7 hold on it, before releasing it, so that I could pay my child a timely allowance. I called to resolve the problem. The agent seemed to think it best I cancel our service. Thats a wake up call. Customer satisfaction is apparently unimportant. I guess Ill be opening him an actual debit account with a bank. Itll be free with far less hassle.

    This is the worst company ever. Greenlight took an u authorized payment out of my checking acct. I received 2 nsf on my account because of this transaction. This Greenlight error and I should not have to pay the nsf to my checking account. It's your error your company should take on ownership. I would not recommend Greenlight to anyone this company is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. You better pass by them they will take money when ever they want...better try Venmo, Chime, or Cahapp, just not greenlight. What kinds company does this... I am a cancer patient and the money they took from my acct was for my medicine and know I have been without my medicine for 7 days. They said they sent refund back on June 27,2023 and today is july 6, 2023 still no refund. Spoke with a Manager ****** on today. They requested to send a letter that it's there error...advise that chase could care less because it's not chase error. I don't recommend this company to No one...you will thank me better.

    EXTREMELY bad service. I had $50 taken out of my parents wallet TWICE when I only added it once and then discovered my identity stolen and had to close my funding source. They are refusing to listen to me, extremely rude on the phone, and refused to close my account when I first asked.

    Just dont. Never recd the cards. Set up for grandkids allowance and incentives which started immediately. They were left waiting on money they had already earned since I was waiting to add to their cards! 3 emails to Customer Support later- still no response and no number I can find to call. Its a SCAM!

    Do not believe the hype for this service! It is truly awful. I wish I had thought to check here before enrolling. I set up an a Greenlight card for my daughter by manually adding my bank account information to fund my parent wallet and verifying small deposits. I moved $100 from my bank to my parent wallet then paid my child the full $100. The first $16 purchase she tried to make at Target was declined and her card frozen. I called and they were able to unfreeze and blamed Target. She then used the card to make a few mall purchases without a problem, though her card was declined at one store but not frozen. She attempted to use it for an online purchase and again it was declined but not frozen. A few days ago she tried to make another purchase. The card was declined and frozen. None of the purchase amounts that were declined were over the $72 she has remaining to spend and all were at locations that accept Mastercard. Greenlight states on their website "accepted anywhere Mastercard is accepted." We also made sure to run as a debit card/not credit since I had read that could be an issue. I called customer service today and was told I had to provide a copy of my driver's license, a copy of my bank statement, and use the auto feature to re-add my bank account information. Unallowed to use the manual add. The auto feature requires that I allow a third party service full access to my bank account by giving them my bank login info. After hanging up, I tried adding $5 from my bank to my parent wallet and it went through no problem, so why do I have to re-add my bank info? I called back to share my discovery and was told the same things. I asked for someone to explain to me why the additional steps were necessary, they couldn't/wouldn't and hung up on me. I was frustrated but not impolite. I called back again to determine how to cancel my account and was told I still need to upload my bank statement in order to cancel. I will now be calling my bank. Beyond frustrated!

    Frauds kids had there cards for less then 2 months and greenlight claims the cards are expired already how the h*** does that even make sense. On 5/7/23 at1:17pm my oldest brought herself some food less then an hour later on 5/7/23 at 2:07pm she tried to buy herself a few things she needed from family dollar and was declined GREENLIGHT claims her card was expired how when it was just issued and literally just used. So not only that charged me for the first month they said would be free this company is BS and they need to be sued for the pain and suffering they are causing to are innocent kids. Company is clearly some sort of scam and they need to be held accountable.

    My oldest daughter purchased a prom dress from ******, changed her mind and returned it. The refund never appeared back in her History on the Greenlight app nor did the amount ever show in her "Spend Anywhere." After spending an hour on the phone with Greenlight they agreed to send me the "Transaction History" for the account; what one customer service representative kept calling the "real transaction history" which showed SIX different transactions around this purchase and return with no proof that the money actually made it back into my daughter's account/spend anywhere other than the "real transaction" page. So according to Greenlight there's the "real transactions" which you can only get if you call them, wait on the phone for an hour, and request it specifically. Then if there's no evidence of the return in the app (the NOT-real transaction record?) too bad, your daughter is out $192.96 for a prom dress she returned but wasn't reimbursed for. I was a big fan of Greenlight but now I realize I've wasted our money, recommended it and so probably wasted others, and my poor daughter is out $200. Any company that has 2 sets of books: one "real" the other one we get to see: Run away, folks.

    This company stinks. I set up an account for my grandchildren, funded it, for the debit cards in the mail. Tried to activate them and for an error. Called Greenlight and they said I had been deactivated due to suspected fraud on my part. Don't you think they should have verified me before they accepted my money and sent the debit cards. I sent them 2 bank statements and a copy of my ID after they but it didn't matter, they would not reactivate my account. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!

    Worst experience ever!! Signed up for a Greenlight card for the new driver in the family. He tried to use the card at an ATM for his first use and without any notice to me or him the review team deactivated his account. Been on the phone with customer service for two days - they cant reactivate the card so sorry. They keep leaving tickets for a supervisor to call me back. No return call yet. The only thing my kid learned is that if you put your money in the bank they can keep it from you. Thanks, but no thanks Greenlight.
