    I have sent two emails and tried to opt out four times to have my information removed from their data bases. They are displaying address, phone numbers, and place of employment. I need it remove for security reasons but they have not responded nor removed my information. The number they have listed you can not talk to anyone.

    Smartbackgroundchecks.com has all my personal information including my full name, age, address and phone number. I didnt authorize this and to get removed, it takes you to many other websites that just want more information. Id like it removed. Thank you.

    They provided my physical address to anyone who can ****** my phone number. Theres no contact information for them and the only thing you can do is go through their process to opt out. Then when you do, they try to sell you on their services to remove you from 20+ other sites. They claim their offering a service to make people safer, but they put me in danger by putting my information online like that. Im a single woman and they made it so anyone with my phone number knows exactly where I live. Putting people in danger, so that they need to come to you to help them is unacceptable.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    My complaint (********) was closed after smartbackgroundchecks responded that they would take my information down and that it would take time. I waited and my information is still available when you ****** my phone number. Original Complaint: They provided my physical address to anyone who can ****** my phone number. Theres no contact information for them and the only thing you can do is go through their process to opt out. Then when you do, they try to sell you on their services to remove you from 20+ other sites.     I do not have a url to attach to the request for removal. If its removed from your website and not updated in the search engines because of the catch, you should be requesting the removal along with removing it from your website. This shouldnt be happening in the first place. Nothing makes this ok. You are putting people in danger.

    About a couple of weeks ago I realized I was getting calls all hours about ******* my house for cash. I became afraid because I live alone and they came to my house and wanted to give me cash for my house. had called the police and they told me my name on the ****** Search Engine has my personal data and my cell phone number is on the website with a company called Smartbackgroundchecks.com. I found them tried to opt-out several times and they did not remove my information nor number. If they don't take my information out I will take my Police report and file a complaint.
