We appreciate you reaching out regarding the issues regarding the **************** Contract that you purchased. We take concerns such as yours very seriously. As you know the **************** Contract provider is a third-party and not controlled by Off Lease Only. We reached out to the **************** Contract provider on your behalf, and unfortunately the modifications you made to the vehicle, including lowering the truck and using oversized tires (with an over 8% variance) directly affect the transmission and therefore voided your coverage for the transmission issues. Our **************** team offered you the option to cancel the remaining balance of the service contract or keep it to cover items that have not been modified.
Sincerely,

Purchased a car through Off Lease Only on January 22, 2023. When going through financing at dealership requested to get financing through **** of America as we just paid off a car loan through them two weeks ago which had been ****% financing. We waited over two hours on financing approval and then we were told that they were unable to get the approval from **** of America and we were offered a ****% interest rate through *********** which we were told was the best rate we could get. They said they also checked with TD **** and one other bank which I cannot recall at this time. I have been contacting them since the evening of 1/22/23 by email and by telephone to speak to them about this because I felt like they had increased the rate on their own and it was not the approved rate. I requested the approval documentation from each lender to see for myself the rates we were approved for and no one has responded to the email or speak to me on the telephone about this. I contacted **** of America this morning and they said the dealership would have the information that I need about the approval and I would be able to get approval privately through them. *********** advised this morning that I was approved for a rate of 5.7% not ****% so they did increase the rate. I feel I was coerced into this loan and not happy about the increase in the rate which is only intended for them to profit from. I want the lowest rate that I was approved for not ****%. It is wrong what they did and deceptive.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Thank you for your response. We were able to get the rate we were approved for through the lender; however, we have attempted several times to get a copy of our signed documents regarding the vehicle purchase with no success. We were sent a link to obtain the signed documents; however, upon clicking on the link, we received an error message every time. I advised your company about this error and the difficulty in obtaining the signed documents via email, text, and telephone; however, no one responded and we still do not have a copy of the signed documents regarding our vehicle purchase. If you could please provide us with that documentation, it would be greatly appreciated and this matter would be completely resolved.

On 10/27/22, I bought a 2021 **** Explorer ST from Off Lease Only *******. Clean CarFax report. I found multiple problems in the first few weeks of ownership. I took it to a **** dealership and they found evidence of at least one previous accident. No problems, damage, or accidents were disclosed to me at the time of purchase.Previous damages discovered to date:-Driver seat base is broken -Driver side AIRBAG DEPLOYED, WAS NOT REPLACED, and seat was poorly repaired -Passenger side AIRBAG DEPOLYED AND WAS NOT REPLACED -Headlights bent downward, minimal nighttime visibility, passenger light adjuster is broken -Front bumper and both front headlights have previously been removed -Scratch on driver side headlight -Front driver side wheel inner liner is loose and missing screws -Driver front fender has been replaced and painted; paint does not match rest of vehicle -Cross member for driver front fender is bent and damaged -Plastic trim on driver front fender does not line up perfectly with fender -Spare tire is missing -Motor mounts are shot, causing loud low-pitched sound -Vehicle squeaks at bumps in road -Vehicle makes high-pitched whistle sound -Missing more than a dozen trim retainers and screws -Paint overspray is visible surrounding engine. Attached documents show detailed proof that at least some, if not all, of the damage to my 2021 **** Explorer ST occurred after Off Lease Only ******* took ownership of the vehicle and before they sold it to me. An inspection was completed before they purchased it showing no damage whatsoever. Only 9 miles were added to the odometer after the inspection before Off Lease Only took ownership. Then 101 miles were added before I purchased it and I have since uncovered a lot of damage. Off Lease Only ******* knew about this damage, attempted to cover it up, and sold the vehicle to me without disclosing any of it. Bought a 2021 ****** avalon xle for $37,806 from OFF LEASE ONLY on 10/24/2022. They informed me car was in an accident but it was cosmetic repairs ; accident reports classify it as minor.I took car to dealer because voice recognition does not work and car revs engine for 15 seconds after being turned off. They told me car was in accident and I would have to pay an estimated $650 to analyze the problem and then pay for parts if found to be damaged by accident.I called OFF LEASE today to ask for consideration. They said no. I believe they knew of these issues and did not inform me.My wife and I are 84 yrs old and this represents potential significant inexpected expenses. I would ask that they pay for the analysis and repair parts if due to the accident, if not the repair parts should be covered by ****** warranty.Business Response

I purchased a vehicle along with an extended warranty and the off lease ********* company and they refused to accept liability and handle repairs of a defect that they concealed to sell the vehicle. The safety of this vehicle is compromised as the car deterred off road as a result of the concealment that reared its head. The company does not recognize lemon laws nor are they willing to hold themselves liable for selling a vehicle they validated was safe to drive. I am well within the warranty period and they are not correcting their error.Business Response

The issue is with the ********* location (but not listed in the BBB drop down). the Palm Beach location is the corporate office. I was sold a 2021 Jeep Gladiator with ****** miles and was told there was still the bumper to bumper manufacturer warranty and the powertrain warrant (Standard warranty from Jeep). I was given a document from ****** showing that as well. I took the Jeep to the dealership today for an oil leak was learned there is no warranty on the vehicle, it was restricted due to the driving conditions of the pervious owner. I verified this information with ******************* as well. I contacted Off Lease Only to ask for my money back as the only reason I bought the car was because I was told is still had the standard warranty. Off Lease Only Verified the restriction on the vehicle with Jeep and offered to give me $33,000 to sell the car back which would put me at a loss of $3,600. I did nothing wrong and shouldn't suffer a $3,600 loss as I was deceived about the warranty. I would like to be made whole. I would have never purchased the car without the Jeep Warranty on a one year old car with ****** miles. I still have the vehicle and decline the $33,000 offer.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I am still out $3,600 even though the dealership bought the car back. They bought it back for $33,000. My out the door price was $36,600. I understand some of this loss is tax and title, but this loss shouldn't be pushed to the consumer. The very first thing we were shown when showing up to look at this vehicle was a computer screen showing us the remianing manufuactuer warranty ont his vehicle. This is the entire reason we purchased it. I have the paperwork provided by the dealership showing the remaining manufacuter warranty. What is a consumer supposed to do? - Not believe the salesman that it doesn't have a warranty. I relied on that information for this purchase. If OffLease Only didn't know about it, this loss shouldn't be on a consumer that was told there was a warranty. I will be seeking the remaining loss on this vehicle.
Sincerely,
***********************Business Response

We understand your frustration with the restriction on the manufacturers warranty. It is our understanding that the restriction on the warranty could be lifted with an inspection by a Jeep dealer. We offered to exchange the vehicle for another OLO vehicle, buy the vehicle for the appraised value or for OLO to pay for the cost of the inspection and have the restriction lifted and you chose the repurchase option. We do try to work with all of our customers when unforeseen issues arise, but as you know our vehicles are sold As Is and that is reflected in our low prices.

I am rejecting this response because:I have attached the sales ad for the vehicle and one that was provided to me at the dealership upon purchase of the vehicle and the salesperson had me initial it on the first page. See the section under Dealer Notes - "One Owner, Balance of Factory Warranty Remaining....". This document speaks for itself. I didn't buy a vehicle after specifically being told there was a factory warranty to go fight with Jeep over getting an inspection and some slim chance, they would make validate the warranty after it was restricted. That is not what I was told when I bought the car and that is not what I purchased. The attached sales ad is the opposite of what you sold me. In addition, I am seeking the $3600 loss that was pushed to me and most of this is from the sales tax. The dealership can apply for a sales tax refund using ** **** of ******* Form ****** for vehicles that were repurchased, and the sale was voided. I cannot apply for this refund. The dealership won't even be at much of a loss once the sales tax is returned to the dealership. You sold me a car and told me (in person and in writing) it had a factory/manufacturer warrant and it did not. Some responsibility needs to be taken here by the dealership. Do the right thing and reimburse me for the loss. I'm not asking to make money on this, I just want to be made whole.

I bought a car from OffLease ***** on May 8, 2022. I gave a 2k cash down payment. This dealership is a complete fraud. Dont just complain about them to the BBB. Report them to the **** The finance manager lied to me about my approvals and placed me with fraudulent Exeter Finance for their own gain! There are both state and federal violations on my contract on top of this Finance Manager FORGING documents for add-ons I did NOT sign up for nor ever even discussed with him. Their disclosures are inaccurate. Required notices are missing. CHECK YOUR CONTRACTS! More than likely a Buyers Order that you signed but if you call the bank and request your contract, youll see a different contract with a computer generated signature instead of your actual signature thats on your Buyers Order! These ppl are crooks and need to be held liable. Unfortunately we all signed arbitration agreements and cant file a class action. I will not allow my rights to be violated by shady, dishonest, greedy ppl. Their practices are the very definition of unfair and deceptive!!!!!Business Response

Went to purchase care. Obtain loan for specific vehicle after loan completed they advised they needed a check and would not accept drafts anymore. Requested and overnight delivered check and came to dealer after check was received. They advised they voided the deal because they sold it to someone at a higher price. We spoke to who was supposed to be the site manager and kept him up to date one everything. When check came and when we was coming. Now we have a loan for that car with a lien on that was sold to someone else. I thought that was completely illegal but I guess this is their practice.Business Response

We appreciate you reaching out regarding the issues with the availability of one of the cars in our inventory. We take concerns such as yours very seriously. We understand that you came in to test drive and then purchase a car but the document you received from your bank was not a draft but a pre-qualification letter. You set an appointment two days later. Unfortunately, you were not able to make the appointment time and did not set a new time to come in later that day. Our Sales Manager called to let you know that another customer wished to purchase the car. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold cars indefinitely, even if a customer expresses interest.
As you know we are a No Haggle dealership, so we offer one price for our cars to all customers. We have a very large inventory and receive additional cars in every day. Please let us know if we can work with you to find an alternate car.

I am rejecting this response because: we was initially advised you took bank drafts by the sales agent ******. She was Ill and transfer ** over to another sales agent **** I believe. He advised him we had a car shipped from ******* to this location so we can purchase it. He said perfect we test drove it. Loved the car. Went to next step with purchasing it. We advised the sale agent we have a bank draft and would like to proceed with purchasing car. He stated he had to get the supervisor because he not sure about bank drafts. The supervisor advised they dont take bank drafts from USAA and we need an actual check in hand to get the car. We then called USAA who advised they could do an EFT or ACH to you business right now for the car. The supervisor advised no that wont work because they want a check in had. **** advised a bank draft should work as they have done bank drafts before. He then stated okay we will take a bank draft. The form was emailed to him he reviewed it and said he wants a check as its late and a live check will be better. I asked him will the car be fixed and it was missing a front light and not road safe. He said yes it will be in the shop and not to worry the car is ours just bring the check sign and go. We left thinking this was correct. The check came at 12:43. We called to advise them we will be running late as the check just came he stated okay no worries the car is ready for you and we will see you then. Just drop the check off and you drive the car off the lot. We arrive at the facility at 3:42. And they state that someone is test driving our car and buying it. I asked how is that possible based on our conversation the day before. He said he apologized he misspoke and kept apologizes then he stated the person used in house financing so there is nothing that can be done. On a care that is our. The stated to the bank and is the car is ours. The bank has a lien on that car and we still have insurance on the car. VIN number and all was given to us from your supervisor to set up insurance so we could drive it.

Thank you again for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that that your experience did not match your expectations. Lied to and manipulated. Typical used car salesperson tactics. ******* through contracts hoping we don't see certain things, which we did. Switching up our financing terms right before the final signature, flipping through the carfax and announcing "totally clean" super quickly while they knew darn well there was an open recall. Our salesman was *************************** One thing we didn't catch was that we were sold a car without a usable key. You must remove a part of the body of the vehicle to access the "last resort" lock. The alarm goes off every time we enter the vehicle.
